Wonderful Stay

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this home in Isle of Skye! The location was excellent and the views can’t be beat. Would recommend and stay here again 👍

Relaxing, beautiful getaway in a remote spot

We thoroughly enjoyed the views, the wood stove, the full kitchen and the cozy accommodations. The house was well appointed and perfectly laid out for a family stay. Thank you!

Beautiful and quiet location

Tigh Bata was the perfect place to wind down after a long week of traveling through Scotland! The views were unbelievable and beds were very comfortable. Great space for 3 couples. If we ever make it back to Skye, we will certainly stay here again!

Beautiful location!

Wonderful setting, beautiful views. Not near grocery so come well stocked. Lovely coffee yurt a couple miles down the road. The house was as-advertised and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only hiccup was that we never received check-in instructions or an access code despite leaving emails and a voicemail 2 days in advance…so we drove 4 hours to a locked house on a weekend. Thankfully someone picked up when we called from the house and gave us the access code. I’m sure this was not a typical situation but just make sure you receive check-im instructions before make the drive. The property rental company never responded to our email about it.

Marvelous!

Our stay was with 5 friends. We loved the house! It was very comfortable. Beds were great. Well decorated. Kitchen was complete. View was Majestic! Loved Isle of Skye and would definitely come back again.

Amazing house with a spectacular view!

Amazing house with a spectacular view! This is a real treasure of a rental. The house is large, comfortable, clean, and well stocked. We immensely enjoyed our stay. Our only regret is that we should have stayed here more than two nights!!

Spectacular Location

This is a great place to spend some time getting together with your family and away from the rat race. The views nd location are second to none if you like water, cliffs, and sunsets. The inside is really great and get ready to draw straws for the master bedroom as the view is incredible Book it!

Skye Wedding!

We chose this VRBO to stay for a few days while attending a wedding in Skye. Wish it was a few weeks! Great remote oceanside location with the highland coo's next door. Yurteancoffee close by and a quick trip to Dunvegan for restaurants.

Spectacular - Just as advertised!

Tigh Bata was an amazing gem. It was spacious on the inside with awesome views outside. The home was well equipped with toiletries and everything.needed for meals for our large family. Access was easy and appreciated given the remote location. And the staff was friendly and attentive. 5 Stars in every respect!

Gorgeous views

Wow, what an amazing time for our family of two adults and two children! Being at the end of the earth with the wind and the sea, farms and cows to the side- it was just such a beautiful experience that words can't express it. We spent part of the time out exploring the hikes and Portree and part of the time just staying in playing board games and enjoying the house. We would love to return should we visit Scotland again.

Unique Property on Skye

A very comfortable property in a special remote location on Skye with stunning views. Not as private as expected - Despite being on the coast with what felt initially like a private area with no other properties needing access, we had visitors using the remote area for water sports. This proves a theory that there is no escape from other human beings!

Stunning Location

Skye itself is an amazing place to visit and Tigh Bata has a wonderful spot north of Waternish. The house is a great design and has lovely views all the way from East to West through South, especially from the open plan living area and the main bedroom. The furniture is good, it has a big, well-equipped kitchen and with 6 adults we appreciated the 3 bathrooms. The property is getting a little worn around the edges - I suspect it was renovated at least 8-10 years ago - so there's the odd place where lights or flooring or doors will need a bit of attention before long. It could do with some suitable blinds or similar for the large triangular windows in the peaks of the bedrooms, unless you're good at sleeping with lots of light (both late in the evening and early in the morning this far north!) But I wholeheartedly recommend it as a beautiful place to stay.

Like a private island

When the tide came in we felt like we were on our own private island floating on the sea. The storm Hector made it a bit windy but it was a perfect experience for the Isle of Skye. We loved the house, the layout was great and the view unbeatable. The beds are comfortable and the house is well appointed with towels & kitchen supplies. The drive to main sights is at least 30 minutes so be prepared for that. We visited the Fairy Pools, Talisker Distillery, had high tea at Waternish Farm, hiked all the way to the Neist point lighthouse, the Fairy Glen, walked at the Quirang, viewed Kilt Rock, hiked to the Old Man of Storr, shopped in Portree and attended the Skye Food & Drink festival. If you want to see things on Skye it was great, if you just want to stay in the house all week that would be fun too!

Great location but have a sturdy car!

We had a very enjoyable stay here, the location and scenery is beautiful. Unfortunately the roads are terrible (not the property’s fault!) and so getting in and out can be a challenge. Otherwise everything is lovely and worth a visit! It was nice to feel separate from the more touristy places but still in easy distance of them.

Family Holiday

Beautiful house in a fairly remote location. Just on the edge of the water. Short drive to the stein inn which is the oldest pub on Skye. Loch Bay the only Michelin started restaurant on the island is next to the stein inn.Property as described in the listing.Lovely location, lovely house. Prompt response to an issue that we had by the property Manager Cat.

Great place with a million $$$ view.

Absolutely loved the place, the views were amazing. The drive to the place is little off road, but the management team gave me perfect directions. The check in was a breeze. House was neat and clean and very spacious and comfortable. We had a great experience.

Wonderful accommodations with stunning views

The location and views were absolutely amazing. It was so nice to come back to the property after a day of exploring the island, and take in the incredible sunsets and views of the stars. The house was spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed. Although we couldn’t get the oven to work upon arriving late the first night, the host was super quick to respond to try to assist us. Nothing but good things to say. Wish we could have stayed longer!
