Nice and clean and comfortable. Well-equipped kitchen though we couldn’t get the toaster to work. The radiator in the hall was on all night at a very high temperature- dangerously hot. It made it very hot for sleeping!! Not sure if the timer is wrong.

The accomodation was central to shops , restaurants and harbour. All walkable .Parking outside property was great .

We had a wonderful stay! Due to a ferry delay, we arrived a day late, but the owner generously compensated us for that night without us even asking – such a pleasant surprise. The location is perfect, right in Bowmore and easily accessible to explore the rest of the island. Highly recommended!

Es ist ein sehr gemütliches Haus mit allem, was man für eine Urlaubswoche auf Islay benötigt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Bowmore ist ein optimaler Standort, um die Insel und die Whisky-Brennereien zu entdecken.

Lovely quaint cottage. Off street parking area provided.This is an older cottage so space is tight but manageable. If you are tall, the upstairs bedroom will be a challenge as the ceiling is pitched to the roof-line.We enjoyed the location for visiting the distilleries.

Everything is excellent, probably the best self catering I've stayed in.Would definitely recommend. Only small negative is the very poor shower.

Great Weekend Stay

Had a great time staying in Middle Cottage. Located in the centre of Bowmore, Coop store just round corner as is a couple of restaurants and a bar or 2. Bus stop is really convenient too. Great configuration of bedrooms in the property with 1 bedroom upstairs (with toilet up there too) and 1 downstairs. The property could have been a bit cleaner and there were a few maintenance issues that need to be addressed. Other than that good stay.

Beautiful spacious cottage in the heart of Bowmore. Walk to everything in town in minutes. Excellent central home base from which to explore the Island. The cottage is like walking into your own home, an absolute boon after many nights spent in motels etc.

Gemütliches Cottage für Familie in zentraler Lage

Authentisches Cottage mitten in Bowmore (Achtung : Hausnummern nicht sortiert vergeben, es ist das Middle Cottage!), sehr gute, fast schon luxuriöse Ausstattung mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Zum Supermarkt nur wenige Gehminuten, Parkplatz direkt am Garteneingang, Spielplatz neben der Kirche - für Familien perfekt! Wir kommen sehr gern wieder auf die Insel und in dieses Cottage.

Charming,Cozy and Just Right!

Middle Cottage was just what we were looking for. Quaint decor with modern amenities. The location is perfect for any activities on Islay. The only reason we gave three stars for check in process was we did not get arrival information from booking manager and had to contact the host directly in the morning of our expected arrival. However our host was gracious and quickly followed up with the information we needed. We’d love a chance to book Middle Cottage again in the very near future.

Reise zum 50. Geburtstag

Zu meinem 50. Geburtstag schenkte meine Frau mir 3 Nächte auf Islay und ich muss sagen, es war wunderschön. Natürlich waren die Destillerien im Vordergrund aber auch die Natur der Insel hat es uns angetan und wir haben die Zeit genossen. Die Unterkunft hat alles geboten was man für die Zeit benötigt. Gute Kommunikation mit den Vermietern. Ausstattung hatte alles was wir benötigt haben und die Lage war erstklassig. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

Great Cottage in Bowmore

We had a really great stay at Beryl and Roberts middle Cottage. Everything was just perfect. The cottage is a little hard to find, when you arrive in the dark, but it is located perfectly in the center of Bowmore. There is a supermarket in two minutes walking distance and for everyone who's interested, the Bowmore distillery is a five minute walk away. Sadly we had to leave quite suddenly one day early, because our ferry was cancelled due to an incoming storm, so we needed to take the last one, in order to get our flights. We enjoyed our stay really a lot and hope we didn't leave a to big mess, because of our sudden leave

Im Herzen von Islay

Die Unterkunft lag im Herzen von Bowmore. Sauber, gemütlich, mit kleiner aber gut ausgestatteten Küche. Alles so, wie versprochen. SZ mit Doppelbett, guter Matratze aber leider einteiliges Federbett, das zudem sehr schwer war. Im Wohnzimmer funktionierte leider ein Heizkörper nicht. So war es nicht ausreichend warm.Leider wurde uns keine genaue Hausnummer mitgeteilt und wir hatten keine Information, wo der Schlüssel zu finden war. Erst über Notruf Fewo Kontakt mit Vermieter hergestellt und nach 2 Stunden endlich in der Wohnung. Das Haus selbst ist voll ok.

Superb position in Bowmore, cottage was very comfortable with everything we could need for our stay. Local restaurants and pub were very good with brilliant views across to Port Charlotte. Second time staying here and it didn't disappoint. We will be back again to enjoy the wonderful scenery of Islay.

Comfortable family cottage in central location

A comfortable cottage with everything you need. Easily accommodated two adults and two teenagers. Great location, ideal for access across Islay. Kitchen hob dial popped off but property manager responded immediately.
