Chalet at Widemouth Bay Holiday Village, Widemouth Bay, Bude, North Cornwall

Two bedroom self catering chalet located on a well maintained facility. The chalet has one double bedroom and one twin. Bedding is supplied but please bring your own towels.

Our kitchen has a hob and oven, microwave, toaster and fridge. The lounge has seating for four people with television with DVD player. Electricity is included in the rental costs as is cleaning.

Widemouth Bay Holiday Village is located close to the beautiful beach of Widemouth Bay that is ideal for surfing and for exploring the local area.
The site has a new bar/eating area with amazing views over the bay. There is a newly refurbished swimming pool. In addition to this there is now a spa area offering a variety of treatments and a gym.

Clean chalet with everything required for our short stay. Personally I wouldn't want to stay for more than a few nights as, being 6'4" , I couldn't get comfortable anywhere. But that's just me. It was perfect for the few nights we stayed there however!

This is a great base to explore Widemouth by foot. It's a 10min walk to the beach and you can take 2 different routes - down the road and coast path( our preferred although traffic can be fast) or the path from downhill of the chalets which was a bit less distinct. We had a lovely time, the site was quiet despite being first week of summer hols. The chalet was great and even had a sharp knife which is unusual and very much appreciated.Thank you

Host was great with the communication before our stay. Excellent little accommodation for exploring all the best beaches in North Cornwall. Chalet was basic but cosy and had most things we needed other than no iron and no Wi Fi connection, phone signal was non existent but was actually nice to escape all the tech and shut off for a few days. The pool was great and we went in there every day of our 3 night stay. The pub and bar were a nice addition and had some kids entertainment, music and bingo on the evenings during our stay which our 5 year old enjoyed and there was a little climbing play area for him too. Food was also served in the pub which was OK but maybe a tad overpriced. For supermarkets and stores, a short drive to Bude was needed this was less than 10 mins drive away from the accommodation. We visited Widemouth bay beach which we drove just a few minutes to which was beautiful with a little cafe which served Gluten free baps. On day 2 we visited a beach in Bude called Summerleaze beach which was stunning with soft warm sand and crystal clear waters, we collected some lovely rocks and searched for creatures in the rock pools, really pretty beach and Black Rock beach was right next to it which also looked beautiful. On our drive back to the chalet, we pulled up in a lay by and admired the views from above the cliff edges, stunning. I was sad to leave and hope to visit again soon and would not hesitate to stay at the same property again.

So pleased you enjoyed your time at the chalet and managed to enjoy the facilities at the site and discover the surrounding area. Unfortunately phone signals are temperamental at times, the site owners are investigating the possibility of installing WiFi on the site but due to the position its proving difficult. I will look at providing an iron and board for next season. Widemouth Cafe is one of our favourite cafes too!! Hope to welcome your family again in the future.

Widemouth bay holiday village

The chalet was very clean and tidy. The holiday village was surprisingly quiet but that came to our advantage as we could use the swimming pool, sauna etc to ourselves. Widemouth is beautiful and have is the ideal platform to travel wherever.

Lovely stay at Widemouth Bay Holiday village

A lovely little chalet, with everything you need for a stay. Clean, great communications. The holiday village itself is much improved since our last visit 13 years ago and our 6 year old granddaughter loved spending hours in the pool! It’s also perfectly placed for exploring wider North Cornwall

Lovely Stay

We had a lovely stay in the chalet. Great location, only a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach. The chalet had everything you may need for a staycation, and the complex was great, our two young girls thoroughly enjoyed the pool! Only a 10minute coastal drive to Bude. Amazing communication from the host and the check in process was very easy. 100% recommend, and we will be back!

Amazing half term break!

We have just returned from a truly lovely holiday to North Cornwall. Nicki was a great host - communicating about the property clearly and promptly. She recommended several brilliant places to eat nearby - La Bocca pizzaria deliver to the holiday village and were delicious, Elements Italian restaurant had great atmosphere and views but best of all was Widemouth Manor hotel, a short stroll down the hill from the chalet. We saved this for our last night and the food (and sunset) was excellent. The chalet itself was perfect for our needs - we were on the beach for most of the week so it was great to have somewhere within walking distance. It was also spotlessly clean when we arrived! All in all, a superb place for a half term break with children. Highly recommend booking!

Lovely family holiday

It is a lovely chalet and everyone was impressed by how cosy, clean and convenient it is. I think the chalet looks better in person than on the photos.We are a family of 2 adults 2 little children and we could walk to the beach directly from the holiday village via a public pathway through farmland and it wasn't too challenging for the children to walk there (they still needed a little help). The chalet has a kitchen with everything needed which was really useful. I did a supermarket shopping in Bude and so we saved quite a lot simply by eating at the chalet. There's an outside shared lawn that the children could play on. The heated pool was really nice and not as deep which was reassuring, with children pool adjacent to it, and there's also a sauna which was good. They also offer paid spa treatments but I didn't use these but prices look cheaper than what you would normally pay in my area.Widemouth beach was gorgeous with stunning views. We also went to see Tintagel castle which is 30 min away by car and Bude which is about 10 min away by car. Communication with Nicki was quick and spot on and I can also say she's a very kind person.We had a great family time. Thank you :)
