Luxury Villa with private pool in Montejaque, Ronda, Andalucia, Spain

If you opt for peace, beauty, many activities and friendly people make you feel instantly at home in this very authentic white town. Also stay in a beautiful Andalusian villa recently built. The five vaulted arches guarantee you a magnificent view over the mountain ranges in the middle of the Natural Graz Elema and of course your own private pool. The villa is very tastefully decorated (by an interior designer) and can accommodate 8 people. There are four beautiful bedrooms and four bathrooms, the spacious kitchen is fully equipped (oven, induction hotplates, dishwasher, washing machine etc). The village is situated among many other white villages. Cities like Seville, Malaga, Jerez, Raychem and Arcos de la Frontera are all less than one and half hours to drive. Granada and Cordoba are a little bit more but are well on one day up and down berijzen. Ronda is the nearest large city where delicious tapas restaurants to Michelin star down.

More details: Fresh bread, meat, fish and other foods are widely available in the shops of Montejaque. There are terminals, two banks and a pharmacy. Restaurants serving local dishes and tapas are served are located around the village square with terraces and elsewhere in the village. Ronda has many good stores like a number of large supermarkets. The villa was bigger than it looked in the photos, and very clean. The location is beautiful, unfortunately for us my son injured himself before we went so we didn’t get to do as much exploring on foot as we would have liked. You are close to Ronda which is great for a day out,

We had a wonderful time in Montejaque. The apartment is fabulous, with a stunning view and great pool. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The village is just lovely, with some really good food and drink options. Also an ATM in town, bakery and some small grocery shops. Good communication with.the owners and a local contact to help you if needed. Just be aware that you'll need to park in the village and walk down. Overall, a fantastic experience!

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the village. Isabella was very helpful and had great knowledge of the local area, with plenty of recommendations.The villa was great, and we especially enjoyed spending time in the swimming pool. The village is peaceful and tranquil, with lots of restaurants to choose from and shops for everyday essentials.The walk back up from the town is uphill, but we like staying active. Plenty of walks around, definitely worth it for the beautiful views. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily recommend it. Planning to come back.

Great base for a family holiday in the villages of southern Spain. Lovely village square with good cafes. Pool invaluable in the summer. We enjoyed the outdoor space and amazing views.

We had a lovely stay in Montejaque. The house is beautiful and stylishly decorated.Isabel was really helpful with checking in (the hill is steep to the property) but she met us and helped transport our bags, showed us where to park and showed us around. Any issues or questions we had were dealt with quickly.The town itself is in a great location to explore from. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

A lovely stay!

The house is spacious, clean and well-equipped with the most stunning views across the valley to rocky mountains with griffon vultures circling all day. The village has everything you need and is super friendly. Isabel (the property manager) is really helpful and friendly and will do anything to help make your stay perfect.

Well equipped villa, lovely pool area and beautiful scenery. Communication with the owner was very good.Accessing the villa can be a challenge as it means walking up and down a very steep hill as there is no car access.

Dramatic view across scenery of natural park

Great property with dramatic view across landscape typical of the area. Great walking possibilities in surrounding area, Cueva del Gato, Cueva de la Pileta, the local dam, the cork tree forests of Grazalema etc.

The host Isabel is a warm, welcoming lady who was very informative about the property and the surrounding area. The very homely villa was excellent and extremely well equipped. Nothing had been forgotten for anyone who stays there. It was clean insude and out, comfortable beds and very spacious throughout. We would highly recommend for anyone to stay here. The hill that the property is sutuated on is very steep and you cannot drive to it directly, thats the only thing in our opinion that might put some people off, but it is ok if you take it slow.

Thank you very much for your review. We own this house now for more than 20 years. We builded it with the father of Isabel and we renovated it with Isabel. It is a very nice place to stay and the are a lovely family. My parents came often (till their 80's) to enjoy the calmness, weather and the birds. Thanks again! Best P&M

Great family stay

The house is much more spacious than I expected. The bedrooms are all of an excellent size and the two upstairs have aircon which I didn’t note when booking. The pool area is private and with most of the outdoor area being the same level it felt much safer for our toddler. For those of you perhaps worrying about not being able to get a car right up to the door, this is not a problem at all. Isabel moved all the cases up in her smart car on arrival and free parking was readily available 300m away. Couple of nice bars on the square and the people in the village were really friendly.

Amazing

My family have just stayed at the villa and I can’t get over what an amazing time we’ve had, on turning up Isobel helped us getting the taxi to park then helped us with our luggage and we were able to communicate with her throughout the stay to arrange lifts into Ronda or what was happening in the village. The villa is beautifully decorated and clean with stunning views. The village Is perfect with enough shops to go get your shopping to feed a family of 7 with some bars and restaurants, a clothes shop and a pharmacy. The locals are lovely too. We’ll definitely be visiting again. Thank you x

Great location. Great apartment

We would definitely stay here again. We found most of the previous reviews were pretty accurate. If you have a small enough car, you can drive to apartment, but it is not for the faint of heart. Otherwise it’s a simple 5 min walk (or less). The pool and the views were amazing. We found the town to be very nice without a lot of visitor traffic but good food and a few small stores. Nice mirador worth the 20 min walk. We did it for sunrise. The care taker was VERY helpful and responsive.

Great opportunity to stay in one of the Pueblos Blancos

We stayed here with our two little kids (2 and 4yo) and immediately felt at home when we entered the house. The high ceiling and overall nice decor gives a great atmosphere. The rooms are clean and each room has an ensuite (showers have great power!). You cannot access the property with your own car as the streets are to narrow but Isabel will help with the luggage and anything else you need help with (we had A LOT of luggage and it wasn’t an issue at all). It’s a true experience to stay in one of these little towns. We had the best time at the local fair, enjoyed running/walking through the mountains, trips to Ronda (great lunch near the bullfighting arena) and Seville and some relaxing days around the town. The supermarkets are very basic so we did groceries at the larger supermarket in Ronda. There are also several restaurants and a bakery with decent (Spanish) bread. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Our son is already 19 and sometimes he comes back with his friends for a short break. And Isabelle and your family are the best and we will be best friends forever.

Dream's Holiday

We rented this house 15 days in august, 2014 with our small family (couple with 4 children) and we left it with many regrets. This stay was a delight. We fell under the spell of this magnificent house which is in accordance and even better than on photos. Upon our arrival, Isabel waited for us for the delivery of keys and to help us to unload our car. We had anticipated the fact that the house doesn't possess a Car park and parking space in front of the house, what is the case for many of the small villages white with Andalusia. But no problem, Montejaque in many parking places which are free. From the first day we felt at home, a house where life is enjoyable and where we feel very comfortable. The house is very functional, decorated tastefully and very well equips. Irreproachable cleanliness, linen, briefcases of swimming pool everything was completed. Cleaning and maintenance of the swimming pool are very well. Montejaque is magnificent, all the shops are present to allow to have an excellent stay without traveling for kilometers to go shopping where to have lunch to the restaurant. We recommend the small grocer's shop at the top of the street by going out of the house which possesses all which you can need, bread, meats, fruits, cheese and the olive oil of Montejaque, in brief that quality products and at distrustful prices any competitions and an exemplary service. We discovered Andalusia very easily and to visit RONDA whose exceptional cake shops we recommend you, Seville, Córdoba, Grenada. We thank very warmly, Isabel and his brother for their very big availability and the quality of their welcome and you Philip ZWART because felt you in your house all the attachment which you have for your house and the concern to welcome well your hosts. An immense thank you for the part of all our family and we hope to return soon to Montejaque. (To answer to the various notices deposited on the site of Abritel for the future tenants, it would be good to specify that this house is difficult to access for people with reduced mobility and on the other hand for internet connection no problem). Fantásticos y tranquilos dias

La villa tenía todo lo que necesitábamos mi familia y yo...tranquilidad y silencio para descansar, bonitas vistas, estancias cómodas y espaciosas, la piscina también ha sido un extra para que pasáramos unos días fantásticos.

Wirklich ein niedliches Dorf und man bekommt alles was man braucht. Die Unterkunft außen und im Wohnbereich sehr schön eingerichtet und genau wie auf den Bildern. Wirklich traumhaft schön. Die Zimmer leider schon etwas abgewohnt und teilweise kam der Putz von den Wänden aber alles sehr sauber.2 der 4 Zimmer hatten leider sehr wenig bzw. gar keine Möglichkeit die Kleidung aus den Koffern zu räumen. Die 4 Badezimmer sind ausreichend groß und wirklich sehr sauber und ordentlich. Leider sind nur keine Türen zum schließen vorhanden, lediglich ein Vorhang dient als Sichtschutz.Alles in allem waren wir dennoch sehr zufrieden und hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in diesem Haus. Empfehlen wir weiter.

Herrliche Villa in den Bergen bei Ronda!Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dieser gut ausgestatteten, schönen Villa. Die Lage am Dorfrand ist absolut ruhig und man hat eine wunderbare Aussicht auf die Berge. Bäcker und Minisupermärkte sind nur einige Höhenmeter entfernt.Einziges Manko war, jedenfalls im August, dass es erst ab nachmittags Schattenplätze am Haus gibt. Auch Mückengitter wären gerade im Sommer sicher von Vorteil. Die Landschaft ist sehr beeindruckend. Besonders können wir die Wanderung zur Cueva del Hundidero empfehlen.

Superb location if you are fit

If you are looking for a friendly quiet location this is ideal. The village square has a handful of bars serving tapas and there are also excellent restaurants nearby for such a small place. The thing to be aware of is a VERY steep descent to the villa which makes access for anybody with limited mobility an issue. The compensation is the view of the mountains, particularly at sunrise and sunset. The villa is a good size but is a little dated in places. We were given all the help and advice we needed by Isabel. There are local shops that sell most things but Ronda is just over 10 miles away and has bigger supermarkets. Ronda is well worth a visit as you will see on any internet search. If you do have a car you will need to leave it 200 or 300 yards away from the villa as the road to the villa is perilously narrow. If you are happy with all this I would thoroughly recommend this villa.
