Cabin was very cozy and clean, would definitely recommend staying here !

Everyone had a blast here. Plenty to do each day, we golfed, fished and enjoyed the nearby casino as well. Will come back for sure.

The property was so nice and clean it made me feel like home

  • 4 of 5

Our weekend getaway was well worth the drive.Finding the house was the only problem but a quick call to the owners was all we did. We were talked to the whole time until we arrived at the home great. The house was nicely decorated and very clean. Quite and relaxing. I plan on going back during the summer to really enjoy the river. The only flaw is the neighbors dog he will show up anytime but he’s friendly if your not afraid of dogs like i am.Overall a good spot to visit.

Gorgeous Home in a private setting!

  • 5 of 5

My boys, 16, 14 and 12, throughly enjoyed our stay! The home is absolutely gorgeous and spacious. The surrounding area is private and peaceful. My boys enjoyed fishing and swimming in the very calm river (at least while we were there). It was convenient to the town of Cherokee, and easy to get to other surrounding areas. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful Place on the River!

  • 5 of 5

Even though we got off to a rocky start, this place turned out awesome! We arrived after 11:30 pm (husband got off work late) to be greeted by a closed gate with no answer at the phone numbers given. I panicked, there was nothing about the gate in the directions or instructions of the arrival email packet. Having said that we did get in, the lock was hard to see and operate in the dark. We wondered later if the other guests had locked the gate.

Now the good stuff! The driving directions provided were perfect! The instructions for getting into the home itself were clear. This place was right on the river. It was quiet and private. There is another small rental near it, but we only ever saw their car. We were here during the eclipse that created a 30 mile backup getting out of town immediately after the eclipse, and we still only saw other people at the local grocery store.

I guess the quiet was what allowed us to see herons, river otters and a bald eagle! We used the floating docks to swim and fish. The water is slow moving and about 6 ft deep around the dock so it was just right. For the fisherman reading this, I caught about 20 small fish 2-6 inches long on canned corn, mostly bass and sunfish from dusk into dark. My mom used worms and caught 2 decent sized bass maybe 12 inches long. We only fished from the dock.

KUDOS to the cleaning person! I really, really appreciated the cleanliness. The extras were just icing on the cake. There was hand soap in the bathrooms and extra toilet tissue. There were rugs in front of the tubs. There was dish liquid, dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent provided. There was also a closet in the kitchen that had things left by other guests. The things you sometimes forget to bring like cooking spray, aluminum foil, and that was a lifesaver. And finally, you are not going to believe this part the place is designed for 6 but they provided 8-10 towels and wash cloths! I have never had that happen! There were extra kitchen towels too. Oh and don't forget the corn hole boards.

There were 3 gamers with me. The wifi was spotty at best and they finally opted to play offline. However, when the majority of the eclipse crowd left town on Monday afternoon it worked like a dream. I chose this place to let my children see the eclipse, you know, a one time deal. But we are already talking about going back!

All communications with the owners and caretakers were smooth. This place is awesome! Thank you for letting us stay.

Clean and cute

  • 4 of 5

The houses around this cabin are in horrible condition. But this cabin is so impressive and clean. I loved the way this cabin is decorated. The only negative thing is it's hard to find. The directions are not to clear. But if you can find Jess Nations Rd. You can find it.
