On arrival the cottage has a good appearance, but once in, and when settling in, it has a number of short comings.
It is a self-catering cottage with no storage for food
Round door knobs which jam your fingers against the door frame when rotated
Two single duvets on a super-size double bed (made up from 2 zipped singles)
Door to the cottage is second hand, a former letter box can be seen, it also fits poorly and rattles in the wind or when one of the down stair doors are opened
Bathroom has a bolt on the door which cannot be open from the outside (illegal?)
Bedroom wardrobes knobs have wooden blocks on the inside that have not been cleaned up after being cut
Limited outdoor seating which suffers from road noise, rather than take advantage of the shown views
TV signal marginal, picture freezes
No mats for hot drinks
Some of “shabby chic” effects looking shabby already
The cottage is clean, initially well-presented and has potential, but fails in the final execution.
