About Traci Arbios
Mom, wife, writer and traveler. Resident of California's (swelteringly hot) Central Valley. Ardent lover of good wine, light beer, stinky cheeses, all manner of dogs (yappy and quiet alike), baseball, basketball, junk food, fine dining, long walks on the beach (mostly if they include sitting), mountain climbing (mostly if it includes no actual climbing), reading, all manner of DIY projects (especially those that turn out well), "Game of Thrones", "Silicon Valley" and long, summer Netflix weekends.
Traci Arbios purchased this Townhome in 2016
Why Traci Arbios chose Tahoma
For many on the West Coast, Lake Tahoe is a traditional getaway, whether it's to beat the heat and relax beachside, or to enjoy the slopes and relax fireside. While still part of a small community in the small, west shore town of Tahoma, this three bedroom townhouse truly offers the feeling of being out in the wilderness. My mornings here begin on the front balcony, looking out onto undeveloped forestland as I wait for the coffee pot to finish percolating. Blue Jays compete for any shiny thing, squirrels chitter and the smell of the pines fill my senses. Soon I grab my mug and take my two furry companions (three, if you include my husband) on a walk along the trails that surround the townhouse. Why this property? Just steps away from the comfort of a home and I'm in forestland.

I'm so glad you had a great stay and enjoyed the townhouse as well as Tahoe!
Needs some TLC
This could be a nice rental but there are things that need attention. On our first night we saw a mouse. We contacted the owner who sent over her manager, who basically did nothing. Later that week we saw the mouse again, along with ants and a few spiders. The fans in the downstairs bathrooms don't function, so after a family of four uses the two downstairs showers it's pretty musty. Some of the window shades don't function, some of the windows don't open and not all the ones that do have screens. Some of the furniture is wobbly, we put a duffle bag on a bench and one of legs started to give. Lots of loose knobs, and things that just need some adjustment - like the oven door, and towel rack dangling from the wall. Frankly, we were uncertain of using the BBQ and dishwasher just because of the condition of the rest of the rental.
Thanks for the review. I haven't heard these issues from any other guest, so I'm a bit surprised. That said, I appreciate the feedback and will look to improve on your items
Thanks -- great stay
Traci is absolutely great. Quickly response to emails but I very out of sorts after a long drive and she answered my phone call and helped me find the house. Not hard to find, I just didn't realize how bad I am at directions. 😏. Nice townhouse and community. Close to the lake, small market, and restaurants. Nice and quiet.
I'm so glad you had a great time and I would love to host you and your group again!
Traci was so accommodating with booking and offers of any help needed. House within walking distance of park, trails, lake and town. All needs can be met within close proximity. Worked out awesome for our large group that was split but only a mile apart. Wonderful location and a nice quiet neighborhood. We had a night nurse that needed sleep during the day and she was able to get rest without any problem. Peaceful.
There was minor maintenance being done to the building but nothing that interfered with the guests. Perfect spot for our travel needs.
I'm so glad all turned out well for you and your group. Thank you!
A bit dated but spacious enough and well located. Very fare for the rental rate.
The owner, Traci,, was great to work with and very responsive. Townhome complex appears to have been built in the eighties and the amenities and townhomes reflect the age. The townhome itself was clean and had all the necessities. Wifi a bit spotty but great satellite tv.. There was plenty of sleeping room for 5 or 6 persons. Can walk to the PDQ Market and water, which is a huge plus.
I'm glad you had a nice time and enjoyed the townhouse and surrounding area!
Great vacation here!
My family and I really enjoyed the area around the townhouse. The forest on either side was amazing. Also, the townhouse itself was immaculate and a wonderful place to relax. I appreciated the full-channel selection on DISH, with the baseball I was hoping to watch in the evening. Also, the kitchen and barbecue were fantastic. Traci, thank you for a great experience. We'll definitely visit again.
