What a great house it is! And what a view!! Amazing landscape, beautiful sky's.
The whole package felt very welcoming; the instructions and comments in advance of our stay, the driveway, the swimming pool, the garden, the kitchen, the games, the personal stuff and many other things. It is an Italian house with an English touch. It’s obvious that the owner and his family like to spent their holidays there too ( many different kinds of tea in the kitchen). We, 8 people (14-53 years old) all enjoyed staying there very much; Thanks. It feels like a home instead of a clean, impersonal holiday home out of a catalogue. When you 're a traveller who wants his holiday house to be like that, you'll probably rate this house whith 4 out of 5 stars, for us it definetly is worth the 5 stars.
The pictures show the house as it is. Although it is bigger in real, the other parts cannot be used at the moment, because they still have to be renovated. But that’s ok, it is not disruptive or unsafe and the part that has already been done, is spacious enough. Although, as staying with 8 people, it would be nice if the renovation of the third bathroom ( located in the pool house) is on top of the renovation list.
There is a little shop for basic stuff and more in walking distance of the house, but you have to think out of the box to find it. It's a little bit 'hidden behind a curtain'. But nice, with a friendly owner. The staff at the restaurant and other residents we met in the neighbourhood were also very friendly. There seemed to be hardly any other tourists there.
Nice villages/ little cities in the region. And Rome! We went to Rome 3 times; not by train, but by car. Because of the traffic and because we also wanted to enjoy the pool from the afternoon until sunset, we left very early in the morning. It was terrific. On Sunday, we even got blessed by the pope !
We miss the house and the pool! One week was a bit short. We hope we'll be able to come again sometime. Kind regards.
