About Vacasa of Martha's Vineyard

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a websitecould be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this homeour team is standing by!

Overall disappointing

 • 2 of 5

While the house had a charming appeal and was just the right size for our group there were several things that took away from our enjoyment of this house. First, the descriptions provided of the house were not accurate including that the washer and dryer is in the back of the garage not inside the house, the outside shower that was advertised was completely overgrown, and non usableand while there was 3 keys available only one worked with one door but it was never specified which door. Secondly there was poison ivy lining the walkway up to the house and mud all around the back where we had to walk to get to the door that opened. Thirdly and most disappointing, it was evident that the inside of the house had not been cleaned in some time. There were cobwebs in the bunk beds, spiders in several corners of the bathroom and in the kitchen sink, a house centipede in the main bed, and the shower floor stickies are falling apart as well as mold and oxidation were forming on the shower head.

This house was a nice walk to town but unfortunately the house and accommodations themselves were subpar. We hope that the team manning this house will ensure that no other vacationers have an experience like ours, but we will not be coming back to this house.

Owner's Response: We wish this guest had contacted us about these issues so we could have addressed the during their stay. The spiders are a constant problem on the island, but we do our best to keep up with them and their webs. Thank you!

Exactly as expected

This is an accurate description of the house. It is located within walking distance of the ferry and Vineyard Haven shops and restaurants, and offers a wonderful view of the lagoon. Mattresses are getting a little worn, but the bunk beds are great for little ones- each has its own light. Would stay here again.

Great location!

Nice place for a long weekend stay. 3 adults and 1 small dog were comfortable. Beware of poison ivy near the garage and path to deck though.

Cute house for beach stay!

 • 4 of 5

We enjoyed this house and appreciated that it was dog friendly. The space is modest but adequate, with a nice addition of WiFi and cable. The kitchen has all that you need and the beds and bathroom are good. We enjoyed being close to VH and OB and found it to be a nice quiet space - perfect for us in the winter but would be great for the summer too.

Enjoyed our stay totally

 • 5 of 5

The house is comfortable, well equipped with all necessities, but bring your own likes. Easy to get to from the ferry and centrally located to all townships. The variety of restaurants and foods are plentiful for any palate. Several theatres with current movies. All are so friendly and helpful. My second visit with family and ran out of time to do all we wanted to.
