Cozy weekend stay

  • 5 of 5

Cottage was well-supplied, awesome 2-level back deck & fun trail down to the lake. Just the right amount of seating and places to sleep for the 5 of us.

Owner's Response: Thanks for appreciating this cute simple cottage with a great deck, open kitchen and view. So glad you enjoyed it. Being able to get down to the lake (not an easy trail ) but fun. This cottage might not be the best for very young children. Sounds like it was just perfect for your family. Hope you return soon.

Owner's Response: Just courious as to the age of the people in your group. Most do come for lake experience and rent a boat if they don't have one. But Cumberland Falls is real close. There are hiking trails, golf, swim park, outdoor theatres, flee markets. Play cards and games to enjoy your family, a trip to Haney's apple orchard. Just let me know what you would have liked to have done.

Walk to the lake!

  • 5 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Everything was in great shape for an older home and very clean. The bathroom appeared to be newly remodeled and super nice! The grill and deck area were relaxing and it was fantastic to be able to walk down steps to the water. It was definitely a workout coming back up, but direct water access is hard to come by on Lake Cumberland so that was an added bonus. We visited Cumberland Falls, rented a boat from Conley Bottom, and swam right below the house where the rocks make natural steps to get in and out. This trip was so much fun and we definitely recommend this home to the adventurous type who enjoy the beauty of the Lake Cumberland area and don't mind roughing it a little bit.
