Cozy floating Boatlodge, Athens, 4 persons, 2 bedrooms Maastricht

Enjoy the atmosphere on the water, the marina and visit burgundian Maastricht.

The "Athens" is a new Boat Lodge (July 2018), a "tiny floating house" located in a beautiful, natural environment and fully equipped for a stay up to 4 people. Surrounded by water, many boats and the city of Maastricht only 3.5 km away this is a fantastic place for a short or long holiday in South Limburg. An oasis of peace to sleep, but still only 10 "bike" minutes away from the bustling center in Maastricht.

From the floating jetty you can easily get on board the BoatLodge. On the right you see a spiral staircase that takes you to the spacious and sunny roof terrace. Inside you will find two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other a small bedroom with a bunk bed. The bathroom is located between the two bedrooms. This is equipped with sink, toilet and a nice shower. On your way to the living room you walk past the "self catering" kitchen. Complete with Senseo, whistling kettle, pans, cutlery, crockery, etc. In the living room you will find a comfortable sofa that can be transformed into a sofa bed. When the sun breaks through, you can step out of the living room onto the terrace and enjoy the beautiful view.
Location is not "heart city", the advantage is that you will not experience city sounds here but awaken with the sound of the water birds. If you are traveling by car you can park this "free parking" on the marina and it is definitely recommended to bring your bikes.

In the marina, "Maastricht Marina", you can rent a leisure boat for 2 hours, 4 hours or a whole day during the WATER SPORTS SEASON (if still available and weather conditions allow this too). If you have not taken bicycles with you, there are (if available) simple bicycles for rent suitable for adults. You can arrange this via the port office. (There are no children's bikes available!).
Athens is "self catering", for lunch, drinks and dinner the adjoining restaurant "Sofa" * is highly recommended.

Perfect location

We had a wonderful week at Maastricht Marina. It was all very clean, great facilities and the hosts Katinka and Erik were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly come back again!

Peaceful and quaint

The houseboat was very nicely maintained, the atmosphere very nice, and the hosts quite helpful. I wish I had more time to use both outdoor decks, but I had work obligations during the day. The only issue was wifi signal was not strong enough to hold a connection to my computer.

Sehr schön, TOP

Wir vier Mädels aus dem Pott durften hier 4 Nächte verbringen und es war super. Wir wurden nett empfangen und alles wurde uns erklärt. Sogar das Wetter hat gepasst, ok… bis auf einen Tag 😃 Morgens wurden wir von sehr vielen Gänsen begrüßt und es war immer schön anzusehen. Nach Maastricht sind es fast 5 km und man kann es gut laufen. Man könnte auch mit dem Wassertaxi fahren, aber mit 40,00 € fanden wir es doch etwas teuer. Die Betten waren Top. Es ist jetzt nicht sehr groß, aber wir kamen sehr gut zurecht. Kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder. Dankeschön für die schöne Erfahrung mit dem Hausboot. Grüße aus dem Pott.

Wochenende auf dem Hausboot

Wir waren übers Wochenende im Dezember im Hausboot Athene. Das Hausboot war sehr gut ausgestattet und auch angenehm warm (Heizung). Generell war das Check-In sehr entspannt ebenso wie die Abreise. Der Fußweg in die Innenstadt von Maastricht dauert etwas, dadurch ist die Lage im Hafen allerdings sehr ruhig. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen!

Absolut lohnenswert!

Unser Aufenthalt im Juli 2022 war super toll! Wir hatten auch wunderbares Wetter, so dass wir die Terrasse auf dem Dach nutzen konnten. Man kann vom Hausboot aus über eine kleine Leiter auch schwimmen gehen. Das Objekt ist sehr modern eingerichtet, mit Liebe zum Detail, und sehr sauber. Optimal ist, dass gleich nebenan weitere WC's und Duschgelegenheiten für alle Mieter bestehen. Was vielleicht noch zu erwähnen ist, dass das Wassertaxi vorgebucht werden muss (mind. 1 Stunde vorher) und dass es nur zu bestimmten Zeiten fährt - also nicht auf Bestellung. Diese Form der Fortbewegung ist allerdings super entspannt, man landet mitten in Maastricht. Wir würden dieses Hausboot wieder mieten. Es ist natürlich nicht wirklich groß, so dass es mit eine Belegung von 6 Personen schon eng wird. Wir waren zu viert und das ist ok. Bei schlechtem Wetter wird es allerdings zu viert auch schon kuschelig. Alles in allem eine klare Empfehlung von unserer Seite!

Schönes Wochenende in wunderbarem Hausboot

Ein sehr gepflegtes Objekt,ausreichend Platz und die Terasse mit Blick aufs Wasser ist toll.Das Wetter spielte auch mit. Rundum eine schöne Auszeit gewesen.Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Prima ark. Alles qua servies en bestek ruim aanwezig. Chipje/nootje/wijn/water ter verwelkoming. Handdoeken goed voorzien. En bedlinnen niet alleen aanwezig, maar bedden al opgemaakt! Topper van onze woonboot: het dakterras. Met heerlijke lounge banken was het daar prima toeven. Met drie vrienden hebben wij hier onze 150ste verjaardag prime gevierd!

Klein aber fein

Da dies unser erster Hausboot Urlaub war, hatten wir auch keine Vorstellung was uns erwarten würde. Die Ausstattung war gut da gab es nichts zu beanstanden. Die Betten sehr bequem. Das was für uns gewöhnungsmäßig gewesen ist war die Enge. Für 6 Personen ausgegeben aber wir standen uns zu 4 schon häufig auf den Füßen. Nicht ganz so angenehm war das im dem SZ wo die Kids schlafen sollten als einziges kein Rollo zum Verdunkeln war. Alle Fenster waren mit einem Mückenschutz versehen. Das war echt prima bei den Temperaturen und der Hitze auf dem Boot. Ein weiterer Minuspunkt ist das wir direkt neben den Duschen und am Anfang des Bootstegs unser Boot hatten. Somit mussten alle die weiter hinten ihr Boot hatten vorbei was zur Schlafenszeit unserer Tochter die in dem Zimmer schlief wo kein Rollo war und das Fenster offen sein mußte der Wärme geschuldet sehr laut und störend für sie. Die Anlage so war schön und gepflegt. Der Brötchen Service ist absolut praktisch und zu empfehlen. Ebenfalls die Freundlichkeit von Frau v. Nieuwenhoven. Trotzdem haben wir unseren Urlaub im schönen Maastricht es als angenehm empfunden und empfehlen es gerne weiter.

Wiegendes Wochenende für Freundinnen

Bei durchwachsenem Wetter haben wir uns auf dem Hausboot sehr wohl gefühlt. Das leichte Wiegen des Bootes empfanden wir als sehr angenehm. Die Ausstattung hat uns gefallen. Schlafräume sind eng aber gemütlich, Bettzeug warm. Die Küchenzeile reicht für eine einfache Mahlzeit. Geschirr ist genug vorhanden. Bad mit Dusche komfortabel. Wir waren zu dritt.

Eine schöne Zeit

Hier hat wirklich alles gepasst. Was wir besonders genossen haben, war das Wassertaxi nach Maastricht. Für wenig Geld ins Zentrum ohne Parkplatzprobleme: einfach toll. Hervorzuheben wären noch der Brötchenservice, sowie das tolle Restaurant SOFA vor Ort.
