"Casa das 2 Marias" is a traditional Azorean house located in the center of Furnas, which has been totally recovered with respect to its most characteristic elements, such as walls of volcanic stone, the mansard, the wood oven and its chimney. Built on a concept of open space and vintage decoration, it offers the best leisure and relaxing moments in contact with nature. Entering the house the lobby gives you access to: a large living room (with cable TV and free Wi-Fi) that communicates with a spacious and fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, blender, coffee, fridge , washing machine) and with wood oven, both overlooking the patio and garden; a complete bathroom with shower; and, the mezzanine access stairs, where you will find the main bedroom. You can stay in one of the four beds: one double (140x200 cm) and one twin bed (90x200 cm) on the mezzanine, and two twin beds (90x200 cm) that can be available in the living room. Outside you can enjoy the patio with comfortable furniture, sun loungers and a small grill, the shower with spring water, and the garden, with fruit trees and small vegetable garden, where you can enjoy the enchanted valley of Furnas and the riverside that passes at the end from the garden If you're lucky you'll enjoy the company of local friendly cats, whom we call "the guardians"!

House with lovely garden

We enjoyed our stay at house with the lovely garten. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Just the Street is a bit loud in the evening with a Baby sleeping.

Furnas little farm house

Overall the house is nice and clean. We had noticed that it becomes wet, like really wet. The moisture/ water come up though the walls and floors. The house furniture, bedding all was moist. To be fair it did rained for 4 days. The house does have washer for clothes but no dryer. All our clothes end up being wet and stinky as there was no way to get it dry. The house it’s self is very nice and close to all major attractions.

Thanks for your comment. Too bad you weren't lucky with the weather. These were days of a lot of rain and humidity. It is not normal at this time of year. Sehr nette Unterkunft

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und sehr schön. Die Lage empfanden wir als günstig da alle Punkte der Insel gut erreichbar sind. Einzig das Wasser hat uns verwundert. Wir hatten mehrmals beim Duschen kurz kein warmes Wasser. Es kam allerdings auch schnell wieder. Die Wohnung ist gut eingeräumt nur ein Wäscheständer zum trocknen der Handtücher ging uns ab. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder dort übernachten! Wir haben es geliebt auf der tollen Terrasse zu frühstücken.

enchanteur et super emplacement

Superbe décoration, cour magnifique parfait pour la détente. La maison est bien équipée pour cuisiner et l’hôte nous a offert de beau produit de la région et autres. Un petit plus serait un bbq pour profiter davantage de la magnifique cour arrière. La maison était super propre. Elle est très bien située, près de tout les commodités.

Mooi huis in centrum van Furnas

Het huis is erg mooi en ook de tuin is erg fijn. Het inchecken ging helaas helemaal mis. De eigenaar zou ons de sleutel overhandigen, maar kwam niet opdagen. We kregen ook geen contact met de eigenaar en het nummer van VRBO Nederland was niet beschikbaar. We hebben met ons gezin meer dan een uur op de stoep staan wachten. Gelukkig troffen we toen een overbuurman die ons kon helpen. Drie uur later kregen we bericht van de eigenaar dat hij in een vliegtuig zat dat vertraging had. Blijkbaar is er normaalgesproken een automatisch bericht over een sleutelkast met code, maar deze is nooit naar ons verzonden. Denk er dus om dat je vantevoren de code krijgt!De eigenaar vond het ontzettend vervelend en we hebben tijdens ons verblijf goed contact gehad. De advertentie klopt niet helemaal, want er is geen vaatwasser.Het huis is verder prachtig en smaakvol ingericht! De bedden en matrassen zijn aan de korte kant voor Nederlanders, maar het zijn metalen bedden, dus de voeten kunnen er uit .Na een valse start hebben we verder een heerlijk verblijf gehad.wachtenwachten.

Super Häuschen!!

Das Haus und VermieterFilipe sind nur zu empfehlen: Wir haben uns in diesem sehr sauberen und gemütlichenHäuschen sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Hit war der Gartten, den wir leider viel zu selten genießen konnten. Vermieter Filipe ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit!!

Misleading photo

The photo was not of the actual rental but a building on the property. Otherwise it was very nice. The bathroom door needs repair and we couldn’t find general instructions.

Beautiful Azore Home

Charming property, great location. The property was exactly as described online. Check-in was a little awkward as the person in Furnas is not the owner and was in a rush to leave. A little local knowledge would be great, however, the owner was very responsive via text, he always got back to us immediately. It's a great place to enjoy Furnas
