I was able to book easily. This place was amazing. It was within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. I fed deer from my hand while sitting and relaxing. No doubt we will be staying here again and again.
Beautiful grounds with outside gazebo, tables, patio, grills, along a creek. Right in downtown Joseph. Walking distance to everything. No windows in the main rooms (kitchen and living area). And table was too small to sit around for 4 people to eat or play cards, but we spent our time outside on the grounds when we were there.
A really nice place to stay and convenient to places to eat and shop in Joseph with just a five minute drive to Wallowa Lake. There was still some painting needed done in one of the bedrooms but still a cute place, and well supplied with all the kitchen amenities. Love all the hooks to hang things up. Could use some in the bedrooms. Very comfortable bed. Highly recommend and looks like more rooms to available after some remodeling.
Lovely building, and nice aesthetic to the unit visually.
However, the walls of unit 5 are very thin--had we not been able to move to the second, smaller bedroom, we'd have gotten little sleep.
The main living/dining/kitchen area has no windows, so it's very dreary. Take this into account if you're going to be inside much.
If you're going to do much cooking, bring equipment. Two extremely dull kitchen knives, two beat up skillets without lids, a three quart brazier, and an omelet pan are about what's there. Oh, and a glass 9x12ish casserole dish.
I'd say choose a different unit than 5--and be prepared for thin walls.
My family enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. It had everything we need for our little getaway. The unit was very clean and great location so you can walk to everything in town.
I love the location and grounds of these vacation rentals. the town is very quaint and this is pretty much walking distance to everything. We stayed in unit number 4 before and really enjoyed it also. The unit was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it worked great for our stay. We would love to stay again. Unit number 5 does not have any windows in the living room/kitchen area but does have windows in both bedrooms. The kitchen is pleasant to work in. The bathrooms were nice.
Very nice place and very clean. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it was just right for two couples. Kitchen was furnished well. Handy location to walk around town.
Property was easy to locate. It was clean and the kitchen well stocked with equipment. The beds were comfortable and our only complaint would be the table in the kitchen area. A small round table in an awkward location. Not large enough to serve a meal or play a game.
Very clean. Beds very comfortable and plenty of towels. Lovely area though we were early in the season and a number of shops weren’t open yet. Unit could have been a little better stocked-we didn’t have a large frying pan or tongs to use when we grilled.
Ideal location within walking distance. Very clean, lovely unit. Main space was more narrow than appears in pictures ( no exterior windows) however bedrooms were spacious with windows. Could hear neighbors talking but would definitely rent there again.
The unit we stayed in was very nice and clean. The price is very reasonable as well. My family and I were there for Chief Joseph Days.

Excellent location, very kind owner, and some nice touches provided
My wife and I really enjoyed this place. And little things like having mustard in the fridge, some basic spices in the cabinet, a bag of ice, Aluminum foil, etc... really make that first day a lot easier if you don't want to go to the store. And if you do, it is a block away and a most excellent coffee shop is next door. The grounds are great to drink a beer or glass of wine and the provided BBQs are nice as well. We will definitely return.
