Lovely little cottage with everything you need for a lazy break away. Beautifully clean, including the hot tub and a great way to enjoy a few days away from it all. We chose to be very lazy on this break, but will be back to see more of what the are has to offer next time.

Fantastic cottage, tucked away down a country lane, very secluded garden and so peaceful. Hot tub was a brilliant addition and we made use of it everyday. Cottage well equipped, quirky inside as having the bedroom and sitting room combined meant we could watch the TV in bed. Had a lovely, relaxing week.

Quantick hideaway was literally it! Beautiful clean place with a fabulous hot tub to enjoy after a day out exploring Somerset. Lots of walks nearby, fresh air and lots of gorgeous villages to visit. Cheddar gorge not too far, mine head, watchet and Taunton were a good day out. Everything was catered for in the cottage, it was clean, warm and quaint and very quiet. The surrounding countryside with horses, chickens and fields were lovely to see every morning. We will return.

Owners on interested in your money
I booked a private hot tub and cottage for me and my girl friend as a romantic proposal she was not aware about.
They day we were due to arrive the owner text me to say your hot tub is not working but we have another hot tub you can use opposite the cottage.
Not happy by this I explained this is not what I booked due to the plans I had prepared and the privacy we wanted.
All of a sudden the broken hot tub now worked?
So with that in mind we headed to our cottage.
We were greeted by the woman as she immediately wanted to show us the hot tubs.
Surprise surprise ours was broke again despite it working a hour earlier?
So she showed me this other hot tub opposite our stay which was opposite a working stable and a chicken coop.
Not exactly what I call private or romantic.
I said I wasn't to happy by this and it was basically.
Well if you don't stay it's up to you, but you paid for it and I offered an alternative.
It was an alternative I was not happy about but we had been up a since 5am that day and it was dark and we were drained enough.
The owner showed us the cottage and basically left us to it.
My girl friend didn't like the ideal of going across in her bikini to this hot tub. I don't blame her it's not what I paid alot of money for.
We made some food in the oven (by the way it's not fan assisted so plan your meal times as it takes longer to cook).
Come later in the evening my girl friend still didn't feel comfortable going out there in her bikini.
So my big romantic proposal in a private hot tub on new year's eve didn't go to plan.
The next day we took a closer look at the alternative hot tub and I still wasn't happy.
We went out and came back with microwave meals as the oven took to long and being news years day not alot was open) we went to use the microwave and it wasbt work g right with a burning smell.
So we didn't bother.
By this point I had enough that I paid so much for this and I have not got what I paid for.
The owner made no attempt to refund us any money due to her broken hot tub which I thought was wrong considering this is her business and customers happiness should be the most important thing to her.
I was not happy.
We left a day earlier because I just got fed up.
I launched a complaint through the site as recommended by the operator.
I was met with the reply of
In this instance the owner has declined to offer any recompense"
So just beware if you have a problem she won't refund you in any way
Enjoy all my money

Have been to the Quantock Rise a couple of times which were fantastic and decided to try the Quantock Hideaway to see if this was as good. We were not disappointed. A very cosy and quirky cottage with a very well maintained garden and the bonus of a hot tub. The bad weather did not put us off spending time in the hot tub but we did get a gazebo for a couple of nights as the weather was awful and there is no shelter which the Rise does have.
Would highly recommend Quantock Hideaway for a weekend away or base for some amazing walks nearby.

A wonderful cottage in a lovely peaceful setting. It is beautifully presented throughout, spotlessly clean and has everything needed for a perfect break.
We loved it and plan to return.
It has keysafe entry which is ideal during these times of social distancing.
We did meet Gloria, the cottage owner, at a distance one day and she was friendly & helpful, but not at all intrusive.

Cottage was lovely.
Cottage was lovely...very quiet and the private garden with hot tub was perfect. It was disappointing not to have wifi as my partner who rus his own business had work to do which was impossible due to no wifi or phone signal. I appreciate it's in a secluded location but think the advert needs to make it clear that wifi/phone not available as this is just assumed in this day and age.
It would also have been useful to have local information available (as without wifi we couldnt research what to do, local takeaways etc!!) And instructions for hot tub/cooker. If wifi/phone signal is a must have for you then this isnt the cottage for you.

Would highly recommend Quantock Hideaway to any couple seeking peace and tranquillity in a private setting as this ticks all the boxes. We hope to return in the future as it was an amazing experience even though we never had any face to face with the owner due to Covid 19 but it was a truly fantastic place.

Quantock hideaway was wonderful.
Quantock hideaway was wonderful. Clean and tidy and very secluded. 4 poster bed was very comfortable. Bathroom lovely, no bath but that didn't bother us and we new that before booking. Kitchen was smalll and perfecly adequate we cooked 5 out of the 7 nights. Location is great. W took moutain bikes and cycled several trails from the property, plus the mineral line in Watchet and the Bath 2 tunnels route with a mile long tunnel in it. It is close to the beach (a great fossil beach at Watchet and St Audries waterfall. We also visited Bath, Glastonbury and Stonehenge. The Levels Avalon Marshes nature reserves were also great. This property has a hot tub which we found fntastic sitting in on an evening under the stars aftr long days out. Really good value and we would definitley recommend.

This was our 4th visit to the Quantock Hideaway and it was as lovely as ever. The cottage is quaint and pretty with everything you could need for a relaxing break. It has a lovely garden which is extremely quiet and peaceful, with the lovely hot tub. Wonderful to hear natural noise again from the owners chickens and horses. You can walk from the door into the stunning Quantock Hills or the sea is roughly 15mins by car. The owner Gloria is lovely and is always ready to advise on anything. Pure escapism, can't wait to return, thankyou x

This cottage is absolutely beautiful. Perfect for a romantic long weekend. Secluded, very quiet and amazingly cosy. The garden and hot tub is completely private, no windows overlooking it. The only thing missing for us was phone signal and wifi so we were unable to watch films on Netflix in the evenings. We are already planning on going back later in the year!
