Enjoying spectacular countryside views, this detached holiday cottage is furnished and equipped to a very high standard and set within the 7-acre grounds of Garden Farm (no longer working), in a quiet and peaceful location on the edge of Ilam Hall Country Park. The ground floor comprises of a living room, spacious kitchen and a twin bedroom with an en-suite, and the first floor has a double bedroom and a bathroom. Excellent walking can be enjoyed from the door as well as cycling. The beautiful Dovedale and Manifold valleys lie just a mile away. Tissington and High Peak Trails nearby. Ashbourne 5 miles. Carsington Water 9 miles. Alton Towers 8 miles. Shops 5 miles, pub 1 mile.

Lovely ,warm welcoming cottage. Owner friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Owner was at property to welcome us and explain all we needed to know. Lovely walks from the property so could have a car free days. We have stayed in several properties over the years and this one was the best.

Clean, well equipped cottage with both bedrooms en suite. High quality kitchen & fittings. TV, fire, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, etc, all easy to use. Plenty of outdoor space with seating. Easy car parking on flat area. Beautifully scenic region with ‘chocolate box’ villages. Location very rural; Fenny Bentley nearest for good pub food; nearest shops in Ashbourne, so come prepared!

We didn’t need many local amenities as the garden was a huge area for our 14 year old grandson and 3 years old granddaughter to run about in and play games and explore. Love Ilam hall park. We just drove into Ashbourne for supplies. Quiet and relaxing. Our little dog also loved the garden and playing with children. Couple of evenings spent in nearby pubs for dinner but not walking distance. Only gripe is the beds are too hard. Grandson slept on sofa after 1st night. Mattress toppers would be great.

Welcoming hosts, and well appointed house, with plenty of space for four people. The grounds were ideal for the dog, a lovely walk round the property, safely fenced off from sheep. You do need to bring or buy simple necessities such as extra loo rolls and bin liners if staying longer than a few days. Ilam Park nearby, is a gem, and Dovedale is just 5 minutes by car. Would definitely recommend this cottage for a stay in this area.

We had a wonderful week stay in the cottage.

We had a wonderful week stay in the cottage. It is very clean, well equipped and we particularly enjoyed the grounds of the property - lots of space for kids to run around and logs to climb on! Great location for exploring the Peaks and we could walk from the cottage over a few fields to Dovedale or down the hill to Ilam hall. We hope to return next year!
