This second floor apartment makes the most of the beautiful views across the town to the fells, perfectly placed to enjoy walks in the Lake District.. 30 steps to entrance (no lift). All on the second floor.
Living/dining room: With 32" Freeview Smart TV with Netflix, DVD player and CD player.
Kitchen: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, tabletop freezer and washing machine.
Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed.
Bedroom 2: With single bed.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, and toilet.. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack.. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Hindscarth is a second floor apartment which has been redecorated and refurnished throughout in May 2018. It is light and airy and tastefully furnished with beautiful views across the town to the fells in the distance. The apartment has an air of calm and tranquillity - perhaps because of the views. Hindscarth is situated just off the main street and only minutes’ walk from the town centre with its abundance of restaurants, tea rooms, pubs and shops. With its private parking space what more could you ask for in this bustling and thriving lakes town.
A 10-minute stroll takes you to the shores of beautiful Lake Derwentwater. Keswick nestles between the huge bulk of Skiddaw and the beautiful Derwentwater and is well known as one of the main centres of outdoor activities in the UK, so for those who like that adrenalin rush – this is the perfect spot. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

Hindscarth is clean and comfortable in a very convenient spot close to the centre of Keswick.

Hindscarth is clean and comfortable in a very convenient spot close to the centre of Keswick. Kitchen equipment could be a bit more comprehensive but it's adequate. I'm an early riser but if you aren't then the noise from early morning deliveries at the supermarket in the next building may be an issue for you. During past stays broadband speed was good but it seems to have been downgraded to just above 1mb and of no use for the advertised Netflix streaming. I reported this to the local office the day after I arrived but I heard nothing further and the speed did not improve so I assume this is due to a change to a slower service rather than a fault, but it could just be poor communication from the office. I like Hindscarth, hence several previous stays, but I'll be looking elsewhere in future.

Loved the place.

Loved the place. We go every year to Keswick and have done for years. This venue was as good as it gets. Could do with more kitchen equipment but, other than that, brilliant. We'll be back...
