About this property

The Amazing Treehouse and Nature Observatorio in Manzanillo, Limon, Costa Rica

Nature Observatorio is a beautiful treehouse suspended 25 meters up on a tree in the middle of the jungle in the Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge at the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. To arrive we will walk for about 45 minutes inside the forest from where we park the car.

Observatorio has two bedrooms, each with Queen size bed to sleep up to 4 persons. Breakfast is included in the price as well as fruits, drinks and snacks.

*** Add $30 per person for VIP package - Special delivery of hot dinner with one bottle of wine per couple right before the sunset. Traditional Costa Rican supreme breakfast served in the morning ***

You will hoist yourself up via rope climbing system under our supervision. Structure has modern unique design, not a single nail is harming the tree. We use solar panels for led lights, has an eco toilet and shower is supplied with rain water.

If you don't want to spend the night there you can just visit it for a half or full day tour.
Experience wonderful nature hike through primary forest, exercise yourself climbing the tree with ropes and enjoy beautiful views of trees, animals and birds from the canopy.

Quelle experience!!!!! La marche pour se rendre est plutôt facile et courte, mais elle doit prendre 1 heure grâce aux explications du responsable, des grenouilles, des plantes!! La montée dans l’arbre n’est pas difficile pour quiconque le moindrement en forme. En haut; wow!! On est au dessus de la canopée!! On a vu pleins de toucans, de perroquets verts, de singes hurleurs et de capucin à face blanche, le tout à la hauteur des yeux, à seulement quelques mètres!!! La nuit est pleine d’étoiles et n’est pas du tout épeurante!! Ce fût une super expérience dont on va se souvenir longtemps !

Once in a lifetime

We had a mind blowing night in a tree high above the jungle canopy. We felt like we were between Heaven and earth. We where blessed with the presence of fireflies, Tucanes, monkeys, butterflies, Frogs… We got an in depth tour of the jungles flora and fauna on the hike up to the treehouse, followed by an exciting climb. Our children had an experience in the jungle they will never forget. Peter and his crew brought an us amazing local breakfast the next morning. We got a view of two parts of the ocean, and an amazing light rain to cool us off. We will come back!
