About this property

Charming Log Cabin with Wood Burning Fireplace – 1 mile from Downtown Hayward

Our log cabin is conveniently located just minutes from town, yet you feel like you are in the northwoods upon entering. We have a wood burning stove, log furniture within the two bedrooms, and a cute loft that has another full log bed. There is a full kitchen, 1 full bath (bring your own towels), TV with Sling TV (Blue & Orange Package), and wireless internet available. Relax next to a fire in the backyard (lawn chairs provided) in the summer months and enjoy viewing ducks and geese in the small environmental pond behind the cabin.

If you wish to go out and about there are many great restaurants nearby, shopping in downtown Hayward, and skiing on the world famous American Birkebeiner Ski Trail. The Hatchery Creek Trailhead, which has lighted trails, is just 2 miles down highway 77 providing access to the Birkie Trail and CAMBA Mountain Biking Trails.

We have been enjoying Hayward for years as a family and truly hope you enjoy our cabin as much as we do!

What a gem. Perfect location in the most friendly town. Clean, cozy, and comfortable. The owners are the most accommodating people, added bonus. We loved the wood stove and the monitor so we could work when we had to. Close to everything we needed, yet private.

This is our 3rd girls stay at the cabin. Everything is still great. Enjoyed our time together at the cabin, and in downtown. The rain missed us during the day which was perfect. Nate is easy to work with. Only suggestion is a new mattress in the ground floor bedroom.

Close to downtown

The cabin was exactly as described. It was clean, well stocked all the furnishings were in good shape. It was just my wife and I but we could have had a couple more people comfortably with us. We had our boat/trailer and our tow vehicle fit on the drive with room to spare. We also went downtown everyday for breakfast and dinner. It was only about 5 minutes away. We highly recommend this cabin.

Family meeting New Family

This is a great property in a very nice location close to town. Very comfortable inside and welcoming, relaxing outside. Our family had a wonderful time playing games, cards, and enjoying the back deck. Town is so close with many eating establishments. Owners were just a phone call away for anything we needed. Peace and quiet... time to connect with friends

We really enjoyed our stay! This VRBO rental is in an awesome location, close to downtown but in a quiet, peaceful area. The cabin was very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Our host was friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!

Perfect location for our short vacation in Hayward!

The cabin was perfect for our 4-night stay in Hayward. We had 2 couples and 3 children 3-8 years old. It was clean and the setup of the 2 bedrooms and loft worked out perfectly. Although it feels like you are miles from town when at the cabin, it is only minutes to Walmart and all the fun in Hayward. the back deck was a wonderful place to sit and have coffee and watch the kids play and the wildlife. The first morning we saw a deer in the back yard, and on a few more occasions peeking out from some of the longer grass in the distance. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice Place

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Convenient location, very clean, and had all the necessities for eating and cooking. The upstairs loft area did not really get cool because the air unit was on the first floor, but the kids really didn't care. We also had a problem with the toilet in the one bathroom. I reported it to the owner and he was very sympathetic and taking action to get it fixed before the next renters arrived. I would recommend this property.

Relaxing Getaway

The cabin was gorgeous and in a great location. Close to many things in town to see. We rented a UTV and it was very close to the trails. Easily accessible. The cabin itself had so much room and a very welcoming feeling. Was a very nice time away from home with much needed relaxation.

Perfect location for venue. Enjoyed our stay though we were rarely at cabin except to shower and sleep. We did leave 4 towels and 12 wash clothes due to packing issues. Hopefully they will come in handy for future guests as these are not provided.

We love having a cabin in Hayward and want to provide the opportunity for others to enjoy our ‘home away from home’ when we cannot!

Why they chose this property

We love cross country skiing, mountain biking, and fat biking and always thoroughly enjoy our time on the American Birkebeiner ski trail and CAMBA trails, shopping in downtown Hayward, and relaxing. The community has something going on year round and there is always an activity available that we love – skiing, shopping, snow shoeing, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, etc.
