About Alicia Robb
After 5 years in DC, 12 years in the Bay Area, and 2 years in Boulder, I decided it was time for a little more balance. I've always wanted to live in a more rural, less crowded area.
Alicia Robb purchased this House in 2016
Why Alicia Robb chose Mancos
I fell in love with this house w/its views of Mesa Verde and the mountains and surrounding meadows. It's a wonderful place to recharge and relax. For visitors, it's a great base to explore all that SW Colorado the Four Corner area have to offer.
What makes this House unique
Peaceful getaway, yet a perfect base to explore the four corners area.

The lodge was perfect for our large family gathering
Our family was able to be together to celebrate the life of our father. The lodge was big enough for us to be together and entertain our extended family.
Beautiful Property and home!
We loved the fireplace in the living room. There was plenty of room for our family of 18. Never ran out of hot water for the whole house... overall, the view and home was beautiful and very enjoyable!
Peaceful Meadows was a great vacation spot for our large family over Thanksgiving weekend. Each family had their own bedroom and bathroom which was a huge bonus. The weather was delightful so we enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner on the deck. Quite a memory for us!! We spent a day in Mesa Verde and some of the family brought bikes and really enjoyed the nearby biking trails.
So glad you enjoyed your stay! Happy holidays!
Beautiful, Spacious, Affordable, Peaceful, Scenic, Nice Location
*The lodge was beautiful & the price to rent was affordable. Our experience would have been improved if we didn't have so many brown recluse spiders in the home. Thankfully no one was bitten. A brown recluse bite can lead to serious medical problems/cost and should not be taken lightly. The home needs professional
extermination. If you can not supply guests with everyday commodities such as toilet paper, this needs to be identified as something guests should bring on their own instead of asking guests why they need extra.

*The resort was beautiful & the rooms very comfortable. However, the garage was so full of “stuff” with no place to put our tubs & coolers as 16 people brought enough to live on for 7 days. When we asked for more toilet paper, I felt as if we were being accused of stealing it, when all we wanted was to make sure we had enough toilet paper for our stay and not have to continually bother the manager. The MANY spiders concerned me, even if we were in a log cabin home in the middle of rural Colorado.

*We loved the grounds & outdoor areas, stunning. The house was nice & it was large enough for our group of 16 people. The bedrooms all need to have a king size bed....lots of our group were uncomfortable in smaller beds. THERE IS NO CENTRAL AIR...NONE. The breeze was what was supposed to cool everyone off. It was hot during the day the entire time we were there. It is my understanding that this was stated in the listing. We did read it and did not see it ... IT NEEDS TO BE IN BIG BOLD LETTERS! We needed to ask for more bath towels and toilet paper. After a couple of calls the owner did provide. Again, if the rental home is not providing an item like toilet paper, it should be in BOLD print. However, the home was infested with spiders, Brown Recluse Spiders, and lots of them. The owner did provide a spray but they really need to have a professional exterminator come in and get rid of the spiders.

*The house is located in a peaceful, quiet area & large enough that each of the eight couples could have their own bedrooms & baths. It was nice to have extra room for parking trucks & trailers & room for outdoor grilling & dining.

*It's a nice, spacious house on a beautiful setting. Garage was very cluttered. The house was infested with a large amount of brown recluse spiders. The home needs to be professionally exterminated.
Thanks for your stay.
In response to the toilet paper. The guests checked in on a saturday--all the rooms had towels and two full rolls of toilet paper. I was called at 7 am on sunday morning saying they needed more toilet paper and more towels, which we brought that afternoon. We were then informed on monday they needed more. I have never had any requests for so much toilet paper and I'm not sure how each couple used 2 full rolls in one day. We furnish enough supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, etc) for folks for their stay. This seemed over the top. And perhaps I was less patient in my response because the guests checked in on Saturday and then called me at 7 am on Sunday. I'm not sure why they couldn't wait until 10 am (or a day or two--how does one go through 20 rolls of toilet paper in less than 24 hours?)
We have also never had any complaints about brown recluse. They took photos of squashed bugs and the verdict is still out, but in any case, with a log cabin, spiders are going to be part of high desert living. We definitely do a full run through the house before guests check in. However, I am not a fan of toxic extermination, which affects humans, not only bugs.
As for air conditioning--I will post something more clear on the page. All of the rooms have ceiling fans. These folks stayed in September when the days were cool (high in the 70s) and very cool nights, so I'm glad they weren't here in the summer!
I will make sure to rearrange the garage to make sure there is more room for guests' things. Thank you for that recommendation.
Big space, fun for all
We stayed at Peaceful Meadows for a family reunion. There was plenty of space for all of us, we had a great time! Everyone loved the property, especially the hot tub. Thanks!
It was great to have you! So glad you enjoyed your stay :)
Great fit for our whole crew.
This was a quiet and great base for our family's visit to the four corner area. We enjoyed Mesa Verde, Aztec Ruins, Four Corners and the whole area. The cabin fit our whole family of twenty-four plus two friends, there were thirteen adults and thirteen children. Alicia was kind and friendly even when we had to call her for some help after 10:00 p.m. one night. We enjoyed our visit.
Jim, it was great to meet you and your family. I'm so glad you had a great time! You are welcome back anytime.
