Villa 5 Anemoi, an authentically old enchanting house that was build 150 years ago by our grandparents! While being rennovated most of the original materials were re-used in order to maintain its authentic shape and antiquity. Wood and stone as the dominant components of its construction contribute to a charming ambience which breaths out serenity!
The traditional handmade furnishing ideally complement the atmosphere taking you back in time. The lines are kept austere in order to enhance inner peace without falling behind in providing comfort as well. At times when life goes rapidly forward, we somehow go back to simplicity, since simplicity to us is the definition of elegance. Feel the comfort along with the sense of returning to a simpler way of life! Meet your inner peace...
With a living area of 170 square meters, divided over two floors, and an outside area that equals 125 square meters, Villa 5 Anemoi offers plenty of space to enjoy and relax without feeling bounded!
The house's multiple entrances and exits, along with two adjascent to the main unit bedrooms with their own entrance, provides the guests with the ease of moving around without disturbing one another.
The ground floor's layout ressembles to a crescent moon and houses the living room, the lounge, the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, the one internal and the other one external so that it can be used by the tenants of the bedroom that is adjascent to the main unit.
The terrace is accessible by the kitchen, the bedroom of the ground floor and also by the lounge. An internal stairway leads to the upper 3 bedrooms who share a balcony, and are also accessible from an external stairway.
What makes villa 5 Anemoi special is the fact that it is not yet another traditional rustic house, it is instead an authentically old house, preserved as it used to actually be in the previous century. Its furnishing and decoration were very carefully picked so that they would enhance its antiquity. The small bedroom of the upper floor but also the one on the ground floor ressemble to monastery cells. The dining area ressembles to a room of an old castle. Back in time people kept on adding rooms to their houses in order to fulfill their ongoing needs as their families were welcoming new members. That is what happened with villa 5 Anemoi until it ended up being a house that looks like a tiny village in its entirety. Villa 5 Anemoi is the house of our heart. Its quirqy construction and its scenical ambience consists it a house that it is simply impossible not to fall in love with!

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful holiday in Lefkogeia on our first visit to Crete. The village is about an hour and a half drive from Chania but apart from those drives to and from the airport, each day we visited a different town or beach all within just a few minutes. A gorge walk and sunset boat trip (including swim in the Med) were amongst many highlights. The accomodation was super both external and internal with the owners having made a lovely job of modernising and furnishing whilst retaining the charm of the building.

Tolles Haus für einen unvergesslichen Urlaub

Wir haben uns bei Betty sehr wohl gefühlt. Im Haus war alles vorhanden, was man im Urlaub mit der Familie braucht. Ein herzlicher Empfang mit Leckereien, Besuch bei Betty auf der Farm und ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus, machten den Urlaub einzigartig.

The Villa was peculiar and lovely. My daughter said she was at the "enchanto" house. It has all the needed furnitures and even more. The location Is strategic to rechi a lot of incredibile and wonderful beaches. The owner Betty very nice and available. We visited also her farm and It was fantastic.

Außergewöhnlicher Aufenthalt ♥️☀️!

Wir waren mit 2 Familien in dem so tollen Haus von Betty und Elias. Das Haus ist genau so wie es im Inserat beschrieben ist. 2 Schlafzimmer befinden sich im Haupthaus ( im Obergeschoss), ein Schlafzimmer in einem kleinem extra Gebäude direkt am Haupthaus und das 4. Schlafzimmer ist in der oberen Etage des Haupthauses über eine Außentreppe zu erreichen. Das Hauptbad ist im Erdgeschoss des Haupthauses und ein 2. Bad ist direkt an der Terrasse von außen zu erreichen (dort befindet sich auch eine Waschmaschine, was sehr praktisch ist). Der Wohnbereich ist wirklich sehr groß und die Küche mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht. Wir haben insbesondere die Terrasse sehr genossen, die durch einen schönen Weinstock sonnengeschützt und so wirklich sehr gemütlich ist. Auch den Pool haben wir sehr genossen. Er ist zwar nicht riesig, aber für eine Abkühlung perfekt und unsere Kinder fanden ihn genau richtig für Tauch- und Ballspiele. Die Lage des Hauses fanden wir großartig. Wunderbare Strände sind schnell mit dem Auto zu erreichen und der größere Ort Plakias mit all seinem netten Trubel ( Cafés, Restaurants und Geschäften) lädt zu einem längeren Aufenthalt ein. Wir waren insbesondere begeistert von dem kleinem Ort, in dem sich das Haus befindet… mit seinen kleinen Gassen, zwei Tavernen, einem Supermarkt und einem großartigen Café, in dem wir sehr gern unseren Freddo Cappuccino und kleine Snacks genossen haben. Alles in nur 2 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Haus ist umgeben von Häusern, in denen Kreter leben, so dass man überhaupt nicht das Gefühl hat in einem Tourismus-Ort zu sein, sondern mitten drin bei den Einwohnern selbst. Auch ist es sehr ruhig… nur das schöne Geräusch von Grillen gibt einem ein echtes Urlaubsgefühl. Und dann ist noch hervorzuheben, wie wunderbar Betty und Elias sind. Solche Gastgeber haben wir noch nie erlebt!🥰 Betty war immer für uns zu erreichen, hat uns Restaurants und Orte / Strände empfohlen und uns sogar zu sich auf die Farm eingeladen. Was außergewöhnlich war, ist dass Betty während unseres zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt zwei Mal das Haus sauber gemacht, uns regelmäßig mit neuen Handtüchern versorgt und die Betten neu bezogen hat. Das haben wir so noch nie bei einer Unterkunft erlebt. Betty hat sich gern mit uns unterhalten, so dass wir auch viel über Kreta u. Griechenland erfahren haben. Die Lage des Hauses, das Haus selbst und Betty und Elias haben uns so außergewöhnlich begeistert, dass wir wieder kommen! 🥰

Villa au top et hôtes aux petits soins

Nous avons passés un super séjour chez Betty et Hilias. La maison est grande, vraiment propre, et nous avons passés de beaux moments sous la tonnelle ou dans la piscine! Tout le confort y est les clim partout, le WIFI, lave linge...Seul le vent est venu gacher un peu nos vacances, mais cela, ils n'y peuvent rien! Dans le village de Lefkojia il y a tout (spéciale dédicace à la tverne de Stellios ;) ). A 5 minute Plakias permet de fire les courses de façon plus importantes. Merci encore de votre accueil!

2 Wochen Ferien im Frühling Kretas

Das Haus ist eine Perle der Ortschaft Lefkogeia. Mit Liebe gepflegt und umsorgt durch die Besitzerin Betty und Ihrem Mann. Wir bekamen mehrmals frische Handtücher, eine Reinigung (zwischendurch) und frische Bettwäsche. Bei kühlen Temperaturen war Betty zur Stelle um uns Feuerholz für den Kamin zu bringen. Ein Willkommensgruß wartete ausserdem in der Küche. Einziges Manko war eine langsame Internet-Verbindung in der ersten Woche, welche in der zweiten Woche verbessert wurde. Wir verdanken Betty und Ihrem Haus 2 wunderschöne Familien-Ferienwochen auf Kreta.

Urlaub in einer alten Steinvilla in Südkreta

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub ist nach 3 Wochen in einerm alten stimmungsvollen grossen Bauernhaus zu Ende gegangen, das technisch auf dem neusten Stand und inmitten eines kleinen Dorfes gelegen ist, ohne großenAutolärm.Alles was man benötigte war vorhanden, sogar einige Grundnahrungsmittel.Die Villa war sehr sauber.Die Vermieterin war besonders freundlich und hilfsbereit und um uns bemüht. Sie kam desöfteren vorbei zum Saubermachen und Austausch der Bettwäsche und Handtücher. Sogar einen Kuchen hat sie uns vorbeigebracht.Die Entfernung zu schönen Sandstränden war mit dem Auto in einigen Minuten auf gut ausgebauter Straße mit Tankstelle zu erreichen.Tavernen und ein kleiner Supermarkt sind gleich fußläufig im Ort zu erreichen, auch am Strand befinden sich einige. Das Haus hatte eine grosse wunderbare Schattenterrasse, auf der wir uns, wenn wir zu Hause waren, stets aufgehalten haben. Wir können dieses Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen, allerdings nicht für Kinder unter 2 Jahren wegen der vielen, teilweise steilen Treppen im Haus. Ein lieber Dank an Betty für wunderschöne Ferien in Lefkogia

Wunderschön

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in diesem wunderschönen Objekt. Viel Platz für alle, schöner kleiner Pool und eine traumhafte Terasse! Betty und ihr Mann kümmern sich um alles und sind jederzeit ansprechbar. Es gibt auch noch weitere ganz tolle Unterkünfte direkt auf ihrer Farm. Alles in der Umgebung, was man braucht. Viele sehr schöne Buchten, glasklaren Wasser, nette Tavernen. Die Family Taverna im Ort ist fantastisch! Insgesamt unbedingt zu empfehlen!

authentisch, herzlich, einzigartig

Wir haben zwei wunderschöne Wochen als Familie mit zwei Kindern (10 und 7) in Lefkogeia verbracht. Wir waren das erste Mal auf Kreta. Das Haus befindet sich mitten in dem Ort Lefkogeia. Es gibt hier einen authentischen, aber dennoch ruhigen Einblick in das Dorfleben. Das Gebäude besteht aus mehreren Teilen. Ein Bereich ist ein separates kleines Häuschen (unsere Kinder fanden das spitze). Alles ist liebevoll renoviert. Es ist nur halt kein Neubau und das macht genau den Charme des Hauses aus. Wir empfehlen das Haus aber nicht unbedingt für Familien mit Kleinkindern. Dafür sind zu viele Stufen, Treppen und nicht einsehbare Bereiche vorhanden. Der Poolbereich ist nicht einsehbar (toller Pool um sich zu erfrischen). Auf der ganztägig schattigen Hauptterasse kann man herrlich sitzen. Das Haus verfügt über einen eigenen Stellplatz, was sehr praktisch ist. Die Straßen in dem Dorf sind so eng, wie sie halt sind. Man kommt aber immer durch alle Ecken. Keine Angst davor ;-) In der Umgebung gibt es sehr tolle, abwechslungsreiche Strände, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Tavernen. Ohne Mietwagen gehts aber unserer Meinung nach nicht. Betty und Ihr Mann haben uns sehr herzlich aufgenommen. Die Kommunikation hat sehr gut funktioniert. Wir hatten noch bei keinem Urlaub solch aufmerksame Gastgeber. Es war ein toller Aufenthalt und sehr schöner Urlaub.

Bezauberndes Ferienhaus in Traum-Umgebung

Wir waren im Juli 2020 in dem Haus und waren wirklich begeistert. Das historische, malerische Haus ist komplett renoviert und liegt in einem kleinen, aber lebendigen Bergdorf mit guten Tavernen und einem kleinen Supermarkt. Der wunderschöne Poolbereich ist abschließbar (toll mit kleineren Kindern!). Die Hauptterrasse (es gibt drei!) unter dem grünen Laubdach ein kühler Traum! Das großzügige Haus und auch die Bäder waren blitzblank! Alles funktionierte tadellos (auch aus den Duschen kommt reichlich Wasser; im großen Bad sogar eine Erlebnisdusche). Die Küche hat etwas von einer "Schlossküche". Es ist geschmackvoll und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Wasser, Obst, Kaffe, Olivenöl etc. waren bei unserer Ankunft schon bereitgestellt. WLAN funktionierte auch prima. Die Farm der Hausbesitzer in der Nähe: Das bestimmende Bild dort sind die Olivenbäume. Es gibt auch 2 Pferde, Ziegen, Schafe, Hühner, ein Ferkel und freilaufende Kaninchen. Ich bin dort fast jeden Abend mit den Kindern hingefahren und die Kinder haben bei der Fütterung geholfen (während ich in einer Hängematte entspannt habe). Die Besitzer der Farm und des Hauses waren jederzeit für uns ansprechbar. Auch wurden wir aufgefordert uns sofort zu melden, falls wir irgendetwas benötigen würden oder Fragen hätten (zu Restaurants, Umgebung etc. oder zu was auch immer). Wir waren die Zeit aber über wunschlos glücklich. Den bereits nach 3 Tagen angeboten Wechsel der Bettbezüge und Handtücher haben wir nicht in Anspruch genommen. Unsere Kinder haben bei den Fütterungen und beim Reiten viel Zeit mit dem Besitzer-Ehepaar verbracht und waren ganz begeistert. Auch wir fanden "Betty" und "Elias" sehr warmherzig, unheimlich freundliche und angenehme Menschen. Lage/Umgebung: kristallklares Wasser, wunderschöne Buchten (nicht Tourismus überlaufen), grandiose Schlucht und Bergfluss zum Schwimmen ca. 5 Minuten entfernt mit dem Auto. Die Umgebung ist aufgrund des Bergflusses (viel Wasser das gesamte Jahr) geprägt von Olivenhainen. Gute Tavernen auch am Strand (auch ca. 5-8 Minuten mit dem Auto). Plakias ca. 10 Minuten (abendliches Shopping etc.) Ich kann Ferien hier nur empfehlen! Ein tolles Haus in 1A Umgebung!! Wir waren mit 7 Personen hier (von 7-75 Jahre alt). 5 Sterne plus! :-)

Eine wunderschöne Wohnung mit sehr netten Gastgebern

Betty und Ihr Mann sind sehr nette Gastgeber die sich um Ihre Gäste sehr bemühen und kümmern. Zum Bespiel war die kurzfristige Anmietung eines Autos durch sie kein Problem. Der Kommunikation ist sehr herzlich aber auch zielgerichtet Die großzügig ausgestattete Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Jedes Zimmer hat seinen eigenen Stil und man kann sich, wenn man es möchte auch mal zurückziehen. Zur Abkühlung ist eine kleiner Pool mit einer Liegeterrasse vorhanden. Wichtig ist die Nähe zum Supermarkt im Dorf in dem es alles gibt. Nur einen kleinen Fußweg entfernt. Im Dorf kann man durchaus schnell Kontakt bekommen. In den zwei Cafes bzw Restaurants spielt sich das Dorfleben ab. Alles so wie man es sich erträumt. Die Menschen sind zuvorkommend und nett. Der ruhige Strand Ammoudi liegt ca. 2 km entfernt in einer reizvollen Bucht. In Plakia ( ca 5 km) gibt es mehr Leben, aber alles zu kaufen was man so braucht, (Apotheke) oder auch nicht braucht. Alle in unserer Gruppe (4 Personen) können die Wohnung sehr empfehlen.

Why they chose this property

Lefkogia village is a small, still very authentic cretan village, located in south Rethymno, near Plakias that used to be a vivid fishermens village, but nowadays turns rapidly into a vivid touristic spot without having lost its original charm.
It is ideal for families or for people who want to retreat from the hustle and buffle of the hot touristic spots, yet maintaining the ability to be a part of it whenever they wish to.
Lefkogia's most surprising feature is that even though being surrounded by a faschinating mountain scenery, it is actually only a breath away from 4 (out of the numerous beaches that follow one another forming the very interesting south coastline), magnifiscent beaches.
Among the highlights of our area is the nearby majestic Kourtaliotis gorge, a gorge full of surprises that worth to be explored, and very well known for its wild beauty.
The palm beach of Prevelis follows as yet another interesting spot worth being visited and is in a distance of 8 km. from the village.
The restaurants of our region that have taken their dishes to the very next level offering delicious food at ...pretty reasonable prices!
The nearby proffessional equestrian club that offers horse-riding lessons and also horse-riding excursions.
The small churches up on the hills offering exquisite views on the slopes that end to the coastline.
Last but not least, our 20.000 sq.m. farm with a mini zoo, consisted of our 2 friendly horses, Maya and Whiskey, hens, geese, rabbits, a pig, a cow (ocassionally), cats and a dog, all fenced in their own grounds. The farm is not open to the public, instead it is accessible only to our guests at Villa 5 Anemoi or the people who make a reservation at our holiday rentals situated on the location in order to preserve our guests' feeling of privacy and relaxation.

Its furnishing and decoration were very carefully picked so that they would enhance its antiquity. It breaths a unique ambience! The small bedroom of the upper floor but also the one on the ground floor ressemble to monastery cells. The dining area ressembles to a room of an old castle. Back in time people kept on adding rooms to their houses in order to fulfill their ongoing needs as their families were welcoming new members. That is what happened with villa 5 Anemoi until it ended up being a house that looks like a tiny village in its entirety. Villa 5 Anemoi is the house of our heart. Its quirqy construction and its scenical ambience consists it a house that it is simply impossible not to fall in love with!
