Why Nikki Maxwell chose Blairgowrie
A great casual beach house, walking distance to secluded beaches and sand dunes in one direction and shops and cafe's in the other. It's like the type of beach house everyone wanted growing up. Friendly and casual.

Great large house nice track to back beach
Great family holiday house -I visited about 8 years ago and feel it’s time for a bit of tlc . But tired looking and in need of a bit of work, still a great house for group though
Great old fashioned beach house
We had a lovely time at the Dunes. It’s very nostalgic for a family who used to get together at the grandparent’s beach house. If you like down to earth style and lots of space and light then the Dunes is for you. Perfect for a large family and very relaxed.
Wish we were staying longer! Amazing location and property. We hardly saw the kids at all, they occupied themselves with the plethora of activities at hand. I don't think they even noticed when the Mums slipped off to the hot springs. We will have to come again when it's warmer so we can take full advantage of the deck. Would highly recommend it for large groups of multiple families.
A wonderful weekend. The house was perfect. Very spacious , clean and very relaxing.
I recommend this house for anyone that wants to get away.
The property owner and manager were also very attentive to messages and requests.
Perfect for ours Mum’s group wkend away.
We had a fabulous time! The house was just perfect for some much needed R&R.
Would definitely recommend to others and would be happy to stay again!
No welcome basket as advertised and therefor no olive oil & milk etc which is a necessity when you arrive at 3pm and everyone was travelling from NSW & so desperate to relax.
The quilt covers were not clean ( we had a little bug under ours we discovered as we were making the beds.)
The dishwasher was dirty so we had to run that through before stacking it.
The house is not ideal in winter, too many gaps in the glass and front door to keep the heat in.
It would have been nice if when we arrived the fire was set up ready with kindling and logs so all we had to do was light it. Instead we had to go hunting for the fire wood and once we discovered it we had to crawl into the cupboard to get it out!
There was no welcome note or information pamphlet for the tv or wifi etc.
The strange bed configuration is also not ideal and travelling from interstate & bringing linen and towels also a hassle- and the cost of renting it from the owners seems highly overpriced.
It was good for the kids as the play area upstairs was far enough away for us to have some space. Location was also good. Maybe better in summer?? Maybe charge less in the colder months...
