Salt Ayre Beach House Retreat

Please note: 2 night minimum stay is required A 5 night minimum stay is required over the Christmas and new year period: 23rd December to 6th January. This house is on an island. No cars allowed. Access is via boat or water taxi service.

Salt Ayre Beach House Retreat is a luxury contemporary style beach house able to accommodate 8 to 10 persons. Features include modern granite kitchen with stainless steal appliances, large open plan living, 3 granite bathrooms, 2 private large master bedrooms upstairs, each with their own TV, ensuites, air-conditioned and a balcony. 2 bedrooms are located downstairs, 1 room with a queen bed, the 2nd room has two single beds and air conditioning. A third room downstairs has a TV and board games for the whole family to enjoy. The cosy living room has a SMART TV & DVD player , modern dining table and ceiling fans. Step outside onto the large timber decks to enjoy a large heated SPA, BBQ, outdoor dining, deck chairs, perfectly designed for entertaining or laying about relaxing.


ACTIVITIES

Enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful island. Be surrounded by the natural wildlife and the native flora. Follow walking tracks through natural bushland surrounds to explore the 27km of white sandy beaches. Find your superb fishing spot or simply laze in the sun and relax.

For the more energetic, bicycles and a canoe are included at the house for you to explore the island. You can pre-book a water taxi to go back to the mainland to enjoy activities and the local theme parks .

Swimming is available in both calm water and surf beaches (2km walk or bike ride to the surf beach. ALL swimming areas are not patrolled by life guards).

Restaurant facility and bar is available at the Tipplers Cafe . There are no grocery stores on the island.

Had a great time away with family. Pick up from the marina was a nice extra not having to lug everything to the house. House is huge with plenty of room for everyone. Spa was great. Nice and quiet with a lot of wildlife.

Great place for large groups

We had a great weekend here with our sons and some of their mates. It was easy to get around on foot or on the bikes provided and there was plenty of things to do to keep them busy. The house has plenty of room so everyone can find themselves a place to chill. The spa and back deck were great. We'll be back!

We had a long weekend at this amazing property. It was child/teenager friendly. The host was very helpful. The house was really clean. Their was so much to do in a close proximity. Best to have your own water transport if you want to explore around the waterways. Otherwise relax and unwind on the beautiful deck or in the spa.

Perfect Home For A Family Holiday!

The hosts of the property were absolutely amazing throughout the whole process, they were great at communicating when booking and made sure we had everything arranged for our stay. The home was absolutely beautiful, couldn’t have asked for anything better. Was so peaceful waking up every morning and seeing the wallabies right out our door. We will 100% be back.

Salty Ayre is perfectly located at Couran Point. A lovely walk across the grass to the pontoon, and plenty of things to do for a weekend get away. The house was beautifully designed with an amazing living area, rolling into the deck. Protected nicely from the sea breezes. Highly recommend Salty Ayre!

The Most Relaxing Getaway

We booked this beautiful property for a quick getaway for my mother’s birthday and it was the best getaway we’ve ever had (including international travelling… I know!) The location of the property is perfect, so close to the jetty and canal, far enough away from other properties besides the house behind which was empty anyway. Every morning was a joy to wake up to wallaby’s bouncing over the land either side of the property and faintly heading the waves crashing from the surf beach. The amenities are everything you could need or want and the house is the perfect size. The outdoor spa just tops everything off and the perfect way to end the day after fishing, boating/jet skiing or bike riding around the island. The owners were extremely helpful, attentive and communicative especially with our reservation being hindered by a snap lockdown but Suzy was amazing and quick to work out a solution and help our getaway get back on track. If you’re reading this and considering booking this property just do it! You won’t regret it.

The house is very clean, fabulous layout for privacy to gathering areas. Everything you need from all kitchen utensils to. Cupboard full of games. And bikes to explore.
