For the sake of honesty, I will be frank with my summation of our stay at Le Shed. The property is a well designed house, with an attractive floor plan, which we think has been let down by the state of the property in terms of styling and cleanliness. The paint on the walls appears to be a chalky undercoat with many bump and scrape marks, water stains on many ceiling areas, and trim appearing to lack paint at all. There are a lot of cobwebs on the high ceilings and even on under areas of the main table and smaller tables. Dust was also evident on pretty much everything including blinds and wall trim, causing my wife and son to continually sneeze and feel pretty miserable. In terms of styling, the lounge was comfortable but a dull colour, while the balcony outdoor table and chairs were filthy and stained by bird droppings and cobwebs. We appreciate that in a bushland setting, leaves, bird droppings and bugs are difficult to avoid, however knowing a family was coming to stay, we felt a better preparation could have happened. The stained water for toilet flushing was also unattractive, which we assumed was from the water tanks. Also we failed to properly read what was provided to guests and we were caught out by no linen and towels included. Our fault but we would have expected both to be included. In summary, a decent paint job, perhaps some wall art featuring photos of the area and a deep clean would do wonders for the property in terms of an attractive holiday destination.
