Hermoso y totalmente equipado apartamento con balcón, ubicado en la mejor zona de San José, en el histórico y ecléctico Barrio Amon, casa de muchos restaurantes gourmet, cafés, galerías de arte, Instituto de Cine, etc. A poca distancia de los principales lugares de interés del centro, el Museo del Oro, el Museo de Jade, el Museo Nacional, el Teatro Nacional, el Centro Nacional de Cultura, el Mercado Central, etc. El apartamento tiene una cocina totalmente equipada, con encimera de granito, mesa de comedor, sillas y cama de maderas finas, agua caliente, wifi, televisión por cable, baño con ducha de efecto lluvia, lavadora, cama completa con colchón reforzado, ventilador en el techo del dormitorio, un sofá cama en área comun. Cuenta con balcón y área de descanso.. Se encuentra en una zona muy tranquila y segura.

Great place to stay in the heart of San José

Mauricio and Jaun Carlos were both fantastic! The property is great and within walking distance to all sorts of great restaurants and attractions.

Visit to San Jose

We found the property exactly as described - plenty of room for the two of us and very clean. Walkable to most attractions. Juan Carlos was very helpful and welcoming. He arranged for secure parking for our stay which was much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Lovely, character home, excellent location

Walkability to town and bakery and hiking trails! All was great with the home. The only downside was having to do our bedsheets and towel laundry before we left. An unusual request for the price of the VRBO.

Hi Pamela, I notice you probably mixed by accident this review. My House is the one in downtown San José, no hiking trails here although it would be fantastic! And of course no need of bed linen or towels laundry. Perhaps you referred to another property your loved ones visited during this trip. I was very glad to have welcomed Frank and your dear daughter early in the morning and I followed up with them they felt very comfortable like home during their stay, I really thank them the great care of the unit. I hope to have the pleasure to welcome them back soon and you join them in your next trip. All the best.

The host was amazing! He reached out early with plenty of information and asked if we needed anything for our stay. He even let us use his garage that he keeps his personal car in. The host was very friendly and made everything simple. The property was very nice and clean. The area seemed a bit sketchy at first, but ended up by less than a mile away from everything you could want. 100% recommend booking here

Convenient and Clean and Affordable

The apartment was as advertised and the owners were very communicative and helpful. Loved the fact that we could walk to just about anywhere downtown (made trips to Escalante, Central Market area, San Pedro Mall...and the Zoo is literally next door. We paid to visit in the morning and they let us go back in that afternoon without paying. Only "issues" we had was no AC (bedroom ceiling fan)and my 1st world comforts spouse had issues with throwing TP in the waste receptacle rather than flushing. Would stay here again for the location and the price!!!

Ample Room

The manager, Juan Carlos is extremely helpful. He arranged a driver to pick us up. He actually ended up meeting us at the apartment after very good directions on opening the location. Later we rented a car, use Adobe, saved us 1000 dollars. A Costa Rican owner company. Mr. Carlos got us a secure parking area for a very reasonable price After we had been gone a number of days he contacted me to make sure things were going well on our visit and to let us know if we have any difficulties to contact him for help.

A great spot in the city

The neighborhood is pretty quiet, and the house is at the end of a dead-end street, so even better. The apartment is one of four in the house, and very well appointed for a few days or longer. It has everything you need to visit the city, included a washing machine. We had a rental car, which would normally park on the street, but the owner was generous and allowed us to park in the garage as no one else was using it at the time. The adjacent former botanical garden and zoo is permanently closed, and a police officer is stationed at the entry to keep unwanted visitors away, so it was a nice plus to know the police were right there most of the time. We enjoyed our 3 days and nights. We were there for a conference, but took a morning to visit the Central Market, less than a mile away, which was a great experience!

Lovely, quiet place

I rented this apartment for 2 weeks while having dental work. Stayed alone for the first week and was joined by my daughter and granddaughter for the second. This place was perfect for our needs. Bed was comfortable and the fold-out sofa wan't bad. The patio was perfect for morning sun. But the very best part of this stay was the property manager who was responsive to my questions, had great recommendations for things to do, and made driver arrangements for out of town travel. Would surely stay here again!!!

Fabulous Stay in this Wonderful Apartment!

Great location on a quiet street ... close to lots of great restaurants, parks, museums and great places to just walk and take in the sights. The apartment had everything we needed - comfortable bed, nicely appointed kitchen & bath - and a nice little patio to sit in the sun. Mauricio was great to work with - he checked in on us and answered any question we had when we emailed him. Would absolutely stay here again!

Modern and bright apartment.

We really enjoyed staying here. The location is great for walking and there are a few close restaurants and store nearby. It was clean and bright with outdoor areas to relax in. Furnishings were great. I would stay again. Mauricio was very nice and easy to work with.

Good furnishings and great host.

We were only in the city for 4 nights but this place was comfortable immediately. We really felt at home. Even though the place is small, we had everything we needed and it has nice furnishings. This is a good value rental. We thought the neighborhood might be noisy but it was actually quiet. We had a few animal noises from the zoo in the morning which was actually quite fun. Mauricio was so kind and helpful. He suggested some places to visit that fit our requests and was very very prompt with all of his responses. One of the umbrellas in the room was broken and he had a new one for us the very next day. We strongly suggest you consider his rooms for your next stay. Thank you Mauricio. Cheers!
