Stunning Property in Old Town
Our stay at Witherby Gardens was characterized by relaxation and awe in the incredible home in which we were able to call home for two evenings. The location is within walking distance to Old Town (if you like to walk), which made our experience in San Diego all the better. The home itself was immaculate and beautifully furnished. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Witherby Gardens. Thank you so much!
Beautiful home, great accommodations
Concetta was very thorough, giving us an instructional welcome letter for everything we might need to know about her home and the area. The house was clean and comfortable.
We stayed here for Comic-Con at the San Diego Convention Center - we were surprised to find how close we were, especially for such a popular event! We would definitely stay again :)
Thank you SO MUCH Cooper! So very kind...I would love to have you all again, anytime! Book early as Comic Con is a BIG draw here:) Hugs! Concetta
A perfect, urban oasis.
A small group of friends and I rented this house to spend a long weekend soaking up the San Diego sun. The house is wonderful, with plenty of outdoor space and has a serene vibe. We loved being in the cute, historic neighborhood during the day and were close enough to downtown to experience the more hectic Gaslamp scene. Overall, the accommodations were wonderful! The house was very clean and the space was more than enough for the 8 of us. Additionally, Concetta was wonderful to work with! She was extremely hospitable, caring, and was very timely in her responses.
Family vacation in February
We rented Witherby Gardens for a family vacation to celebrate my nephew's 16th birthday. The home was very spacious, and easily accommodated myself and my two siblings with our four children. The home was beautifully decorated with thoughtfully placed antiques and the owner's beautiful artwork was showcased throughout the home. Beautiful, fresh flowers were placed in vases throughout the home, which I felt was a nice, personal touch. We felt right at home the moment we walked through the gate! The landscaping was beautiful, filled with blooming flowers and lemon and avocado trees, and a small, solar heated pool. The beds were comfortable, and with our busy days spent exploring all San Diego has to offer, we were grateful for that! The neighborhood is a quaint, quiet location that is easily walk-able. Short walk downhill to Old Town, but then you have to walk back up afterward. A few things to note, that I was given advance notice of: there is a washer and dryer on location, but it is in the basement and you have to go outside to access. This was not an issue for us, and we used them a few times during our stay, but if it had rained it may not have been ideal. Also, there was no coffee pot, but there was a very nice Breville tea maker. There is a lovely coffee shop a few blocks away that we walked to each morning. The appliances in the kitchen were SS, and the stove and pots and pans were top notch! We enjoyed cooking meals together, and the spaciousness allowed us to do so. There is a piano in the living room, and I wish I could play something other than Chopsticks or Heart and Soul, but our children loved it, and it inspired my niece to ask for piano lessons when we returned home! The owner was a pleasure to deal with. She responded to inquiries in a timely manner, and was warm and sincere in all interactions I had with her. I would highly recommend this home to others, and will definitely return again!
