This 2 bedroom 1920’s Art Deco inspired Country Style House is located in a very quiet street in leafy Gardenvale but only moments away from Brighton, Elsternwick, Elwood, Caufield and St Kilda. Gardenvale Station on the Sandringham line is a few minutes walk away and you can stroll down the street to the local cafe right on our corner. This house is exceptionally clean and comfortable single level, 2 bedroom house complete with secluded outdoor area and native gardens. Your own Off Street Parking conveniently located in your own driveway. There are no internal stairs to climb or lifts to navigate! Bedroom 1 has a Queen size bed, Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. All Linen and towels are supplied. A relaxing Lounge room with TV and Stereo. Plus a separate large light filled Study with a selection of books and kids games and toys. A fully equipped kitchen and separate laundry with washing machine and dryer, Iron and Ironing board. An extra toilet is located in the laundry for your convenience. You have the choice of relaxing on the verandah overlooking the lovely native garden or maybe a BBQ in the rear courtyard. Kids can play safely in the large secure backyard. We pride ourselves in being a very clean and comfortable home style property. "Your home away from home!”

PUBLIC TRANSPORT- will connect you to: Brighton, Elwood, St Kilda, Monash University, Elsternwick, Moorabbin and Caulfield.
CAR HIRE-look for Brighton Sixt, Avis, Budget Car rental- for your convenience they are just around the corner only walking distance away.
GARDENVALE STATION - a short walk to the Trains that take you direct to the city on the Sandringham line. Duration: 15 minutes.
Airport Bus stops minutes away. (Frankston and Peninsula Airport Shuttle FAPAS)
LOCAL AREA Just a short stroll will take you to a lovely collection of shops in Martin Street. Many great cafes, fish and chips, bakeries, restaurants, boutique shopping, a very good Op Shop, supermarket, news agency and butcher. Omar and the Marvelous Coffee Bird is located on our street corner so you can pop down for breakfast and fabulous coffee to kick start your day. Brighton Beach is approximately about a 3-5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away.
FOR THE KIDS At the cottage there is a secure outdoor space for the kids to relax or play in the sunshine. Leafy Gardenvale Park is an excellent playground and space to run around. Suits all ages. Gardenvale is Melbourne's smallest suburb but it is so close to Elsternwick, Elwood, Brighton, Ormond and various other villages so you will never run out of things to do in the area.
FOR THE SPORTING ENTHUSIAST 16 minutes to the Royal Melbourne Golf Course. Tennis Courts are a 5 minute drive away. Getting to Major sporting events like the soccer, football, rugby, tennis or cricket is just a short 10 minute train ride to Richmond Station and walk to the MCG. To get to Marvel Stadium it takes 15 minutes to Southern Cross Station then a walk to the Stadium - it's that easy!

A truly beautiful art deco bungalow in a lovely area. The host was helpful and welcoming and we had a wonderful week.Easy to get the train to all destinations and a lovely supermarket, coffe shop, bakery and restaurants close by. Must try 'ten greek plates', an amazing family owned restaurant with fabulous food and a warm welcome.

Excellent hom s away from home. Idel location, just a few minutes from the train. Very comfortable and well looked after.If in Melbourne again, would definitely try to stay here again
We had a wonderful holiday staying at Gardenvale Cottage. The lovely comfortable, spacious cottage had everything we needed for our six week stay. All the photos and descriptions on the VRBO site were very accurate and helpful for making a decision to book this accommodation.Our host was so welcoming and provided an early check in as we had just arrived from Canada. She gave us a good introduction to the cottage and answered any questions. Communication during our stay was excellent.The cottage location was wonderful. We used the train often to explore the city centre and Brighton. Enjoyed the local restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, pharmacy and rented from a local car rental agency. Very roomy cottage with everything supplied to make it a wonderful stay. Just needed your own clothes, food and some toiletries. It is conveniently located to shops and public transport and a 1 minute walk to one of Melbourne's best coffee shops. Definitely will stay again.

we stayed with friends. The accommodation is absolutely as described. Very comfortable home from home. Very close to the city and local shops. Would thoroughly recommend.
Close to great coffee shops and restaurants. Not far from the beach.
Cute little cottage with a wonderful patio. Nice residential feel, but only a block from a wonderful coffee shop and several restaurants. Great communication with our host! Thanks for a great stay.

Comfortable, clean and full of character cottage -2 bedrooms and large kitchen , living areas and backyard - a perfect base for seeing family in Melbourne. Close to public transport and excellent cafe.

Easy access to public transport. Everything has been considered to maximise a stay without needing to pack it. VERY clean. Nice quiet area. Fabulous communication. I will definitely stay again!
