Entire apartment building with 3 separate units! 8Bedrooms/5Bathrooms comprised of 8 queen beds, 3 queen sleeper sofas and 1 single bed (see details for exact breakdown)! 4 FREE dedicated off-street parking spots included! Will comfortably sleep 22 with plenty of room to relax and enjoy. Amazing central location just a short distance to all attractions Pittsburgh has to offer. The property is a lovely mix of classic and modern, with hardwood floors and exposed brick throughout, the units share similar open floor plan design, bright and cozy settings. Modern and sleek kitchens (3 of them!) complete with all the necessities to prepare meals to enjoy all the units.
** Unit 1: 3Bed/2bath
- This first floor unit has 3 bedrooms with queen sized beds and one queen size pull-out couch plus two full baths, kitchen and living space. Great unit for those who don't do well with steps, as it's just 5 steps into the building and it is a single level unit.
** Unit 2: 1Bed/1Bath
- The second unit begins on the second floor and has one bedroom with queen bed and 1 queen sized pull-out couch, 1 full bath, kitchen and living space.
** Unit 3: 4Bed/2Bath
- The third unit starts on the 2nd floor where you'll find 3 bedrooms with queen beds; and one single in a loft space, and 1 full bath; and continues on the 3rd floor where you will find a kitchen, living room and 1 bedroom with a queen sized bed and 1 full bath.
Located in downtown Pittsburgh (Southside Flats) . A short walk to all many restaurants, bars and other tourist attractions, festivities, shopping, and whatever else you may need. It's a wonderful property for traveling business partners who want space, family getaways, and large group gatherings. If you'd prefer not to walk, the bus stop or a taxi/uber is literally just outside your front door. This place is a rare find!

Vintage outside and remodeled inside made a nice stay. Good location on popular street with good parking. Unit well appointed. We were concerned about AC on top floor during hot weekend, but it was acceptable. We only used top three units of four, so cannot comment on ground floor.

Great place for our extended family to stay. It was walking distance to many places to eat. There is even a playground nearby for the kids. The three separate apartments let us hang out together in a common area, but then have privacy for sleeping.

Family Reunion

Had a wonderful family trip to Pittsburgh! The house suited all of our needs and allowed all to stay under one roof for our brief family reuniting. The property itself is in a busy area with a lot of street noise so be sure to pick one of the back bedrooms if you are a light sleeper. Also, pricing is based on a 12 person occupancy. The host was very accommodating in responding to questions and concerns!

2 Stars in Pittsburgh

The dirty & run down condition of the units of this property is why I’m giving it 2 stars. Examples include:-Food remnants in the kitchen.-Dirty utensils.-Mold covered fridge gasket.-Ring of dirt/grease top of range.-Food encrusted silverware-ea piece needing to be washed before use.-Floors not swept/washed in units. Feet stuck to floor.*Had to clean each of the above points to make units useable.Entire property needs to be deeply cleaned. Each unit needs painting as the walls are dirty & stained. Rugs need to be replaced in each unit, including rugs on stairs leading to second floor & landing, due to filth. The rug in the bedroom of unit 2 is heavily soiled w/ a foot traffic stain path. Furniture needs replacing, as it is very dirty, stained, including broken stool & chair. Members of our group of 13 found furniture uncomfortable. Cooking was challenge w/ pots & pans flaking & unable to use safely. Front door needs to be replace, as it currently does not sit properly in frame & had gaps around & in it. The front door had to be closed just so for locking door when leaving. Keyless entry pad needs to be replaced because the way numbers are worn allows for someone to guess code & gain entry-this is a safety issue! Entering unit 2 on the 1st day, the floor & counters were so sticky, oily, & dirty. Had to purchase cleaning supplies & spent hours cleaning to make it tolerable. The washer/dryer in unit 1 didn’t function properly, requiring additional & time @ laundromat.

Front bathroom not at all good. Poor exhaust. Shower curtain rod poorly placed.

Space lacks natural lighting. Front entrance door has gaps. Push button lock sometimes does not lock easily, have to try multiple times. Bedroom carpet poor quality.Overall not bad, but TOO PRICEY.

Great location for a University of Pittsburgh graduation

This was a great location for our extended family to attend our nephew’s graduation from the University of Pittsburgh. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and the location was in walking distance to the restaurants our nephew wanted to share with us. The proximity to restaurants and activities also meant that the front bedrooms shared in the celebratory mood from the street. The 4 parking spots were a big plus. The host was very responsive. The apartment-style layout did require us to be creative when the family wanted to gather together. Great rental.

We enjoyed our stay!

Our non profit team enjoyed a number of days at this VRBO. It worked really well for our group. We loved the exposed brick and beams. The climate control was comfortable. The unit was clean except for a number of the dishes were a little dirty as well as some of the walls and cabinet handles. There were no dish clothes so we had to buy some of those. Overall, it was a good experience!

Awesome Place

This place is in a perfect location. It was clean and very spacious. Response time from the host was immediate. Excellent for a large group of people. Having 4 parking spots was a huge bonus. Steelers win against the Ravens. Couldn't ask for a better weekend!

Family weekend

We traveled to visit my son for Pitts family weekend. The place was great for the multiple families we had. Kitchen was well equipped as well as other necessity that were included. Several bars and shops along the street so is a little loud in the evenings but not terrible. Convenient location.

This place was great for our group of 12. Everything was very clean and well kept. There is ample parking in the back and right around a lot bars and restaurants (coffee shop across the street was awesome!). We would definitely stay again!

Weekend in Pittsburgh

What a great property for a large group of people. The house was clean and very well maintained. It had everything we needed! The 4 parking spaces were an added bonus. We came into the city to see the Phillies play the Pirates and had an amazing time! The location is perfect- we spent Friday night on Carson Street and took a quick Uber to downtown for Picklesburgh and the game on Saturday. I would highly recommend this property! The owner is very responsive.

City culture

The apartment was spacious enough for our whole group. We could spread out and there were plenty of bathrooms. We were close to everything city-life has to offer. The only drawback was the parking. 4 spaces behind the apartment were good. If you have more cars for a big group there is convenient parking in a lot directly behind the apartment, but there is a cost to park there. Of course, I realize 4 free spaces are abundant for a city apartment, so I really can’t complain. Overall, if you have a big group, this is probably the best place to stay in a city. The owner was very, very helpful and he answered my many questions very promptly. We had a nice stay.

Pitt Graduation Celebration at The Schenley!

The Schenley is a MUST for a large family gathering. We had four families with a total of 13 people fit comfortably inside the three apartments with several empty beds available for our daughter’s college friends that crashed for an evening or two. It is in a great location in the Southside Flats just walking distance to lots of great restaurants and bars. We easily walked to Fat Heads Saloon, Hofbrauhaus, and the Tiki Bar for lunch, dinner, and drinks, respectively. Each apartment is fully stocked with everything you need (linens, towels, laundry, kitchenwares) to function as if you were at your own home. We were able to let everyone leisurely roll out of bed for breakfast on their own schedule and had a nice spots to sit in the living areas to socialize in the afternoons and evenings. We loved our time at The Schenley and it really made our Pitt graduation celebration so fun to enjoy with everyone under one roof.

We had a fantastic stay! The house was perfect for our stay. We had 11 people, (family and friends) ages 15 and up. We were in town to see a Steelers game. Everything you need is with in walking distance, Uber or Door dash. Michael was responsive and made the stay perfect! We hope to do it again next year! Thank you, Michael!!

A Location With Lots of Energy!

This location is right in the middle of the action. Walk out the front door for and no matter what direction, there's great restaurants, bars, etc in all directions. We liked how the space is flexible so you can book 1, 2 or 3 units depending on your needs. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Perfect location for our stay

We came to Pittsburgh to celebrate a family member who loves the Steelers and heard all good things about Pittsburgh and the people here. This house with its three separate apartments was perfect for our needs. There was plenty of common space to spend time together but more importantly, when spending 24x7 with family, it offered more than enough private space for everyone to have a spot to retreat to. We had 10 people actually end up staying as four in our party had to back out but we would have felt the same privacy even if they had come. The owner was responsive and proactive, coming to fix things we didn’t know were broken arriving when we first entered to ensure all was in working order having notified us ahead. Great communication! The apartments are all updated, simply and comfortably decorated/furnished. Could use a colander but we managed with what we found. Finally the location was within 20 minutes drive time max of all the points of interest we were interested in. We also felt safe walking the neighborhood as well as getting to the beautiful walking/bike riding trail that followed along a river. I would highly recommend this for any large family gathering or for friends that want to share a location and enjoy common and private time together.

Perfect for our weekend get-together.

Plenty of room for everyone to gather, but also enough privacy to have some down time. Had everything we needed, and found everything as described. One or two comments about outside noise both in alley behind house and front sidewalks. Most likely out of the owner's control. Would suggest moving the shower curtain bar closer to the floor on first floor walk-in shower, as the floor got unavoidably wet, though we tried... Thank you for a great venue. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The free parking was a great bonus!!

Good for Multiple Family Group

We were in from out of state for a long weekend to attend a family wedding in Pittsburgh. Worked well with multiple families staying in one place. Enough room for everyone (16 adults/8 couples) but also enough space to meet everyone's needs. We cooked some meals in, but there are also a lot of resteraunts and bars within walking distance. Liked that we hade space included to park 4 vehicles.
