Situated on a working farm only a short drive from Moonta on The Copper Coast, Redwing Barn is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax in your fully self contained 1950s, fully renovated barn.
The barn has been lovingly renovated to offer comfort and style to its guests, as well as all the mod cons, plus bundles of character. The two bedroom property has a queen bed in one room, and your choice of 2 x king singles or 1 king bed in the other. There is also a single fold out bed available to cater for families of 5.
The property features a large outdoor decking area, original polished floorboards throughout, two person indoor spa bath, air-conditioning, combustion fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, open plan living and lawned area for the kids!
All your linen is also included in your stay, so all you really need to bring are some carrots for the animals!
Redwing Barn offers a unique experience for everyone! From feeding the many friendly farm animals, strolling the working farm, or just enjoying the tranquility and beautiful views of the surrounding farmland, you are sure to leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Wonderful experience

We really enjoyed our couple of days. Place was clean and tidy. Kitchen even had a coffee machine..wow what a bonus. Fridge was full of yummy stuff for breakfast. Perfect escape from city life and the best way to get your kids busy. They loved all animals and didn't want to leave. Highly recommend :)

We had the most amazing weekend staying at Redwing Farm. Thank you so much to the owners for allowing us to experience your beautiful farm. The kids loved visiting the farm animals every day Godfrey, Ranga and Ceaser were some of our favourites however we absolutely loved our daily visit for McGee and Maxi. Wonderful memories we will cherish forever.

Wonderful stay

What a wonderful experience! The place met all expectations and some, I could not recommend this place enough! The owners of the property were absolutely terrific - communication was above and beyond what was expected. And where do I even start with all the animal friends - I wish I was still with them now.

Lovely and relaxing, we loved the animals grew quite attached to them in our short stay and were sad to leave! We will definitely come back in new year!

An amazing holiday location

The barn at Redwing is just beautiful. The accommodation is so comfortable and has all the comforts of home. The children loved all the animals that they can go and pat and feed and loved the ability to go off safely on their own to check it all out. The new shed and games were a great idea too.Thank you very much.

AMAZING Get away

Came across this place googling accommodation in Moonta Bay and we couldn't resist the look of staying on a farm. We stayed in the Barn, it had a wonderful country feel along with A good size Deck to sit back, relax taking in the amazing View. Our son loved every bit of the farm stay, seeing all the animals up close and in person was just the sweetest thing ever. Not sure whom took a liking to Godfrey the most; my husband or my son haha, but was so good to see us all get out and about on the farm and really enjoy the country life and to just unwind. Two nights is just not enough at this place, we will be back soon.

Perfect in every way!

They've thought of everything! Awesome location right in the middle of all the great fishing spots, but far enough away from town for some peace and quiet. The kids would have loved the animals if we had brought them with us. Made great use of the bbq for our daily catches. We will be back and this time bring the kids too!

GREAT FAMILY ESCAPE

We had a fantastic stay at the Barn. It provided us with all the conveniences that you could ask for (even a spa in the bathroom). The kids loved interacting with all the farm animals and it was so peaceful enjoying a BBQ on the deck, having a drink with an uninterrupted view. The barn provided us with some games and DVD's but we all enjoyed our time out with the animals and walking around the farm we didn't get too much time to use them. Would definitely recommend this as a wonderful family getaway. Just remember to bring along a large bag of carrots for the animals!

A relaxing getaway with all the comforts!

The kids and I had a wonderful stay. Time stopped and we relaxed. There is something therapeutic about feeding the animals and living in the barn. It was very well appointed with a fantastic combustion heater that the kids stoked up every night to keep us warm. Very generous supplies for breakfast and plenty of wood to burn. The deck in the afternoon was fantastic for a BBQ or to read a good book and have a glass of wine whilst watching the cattle and sheep roam. The donkeys are characters and the chooks with the spiky hair were funny. Short drive to Moonta to see the mining history or go squidding on the Jetty. Lovely little town for lunch and great cornish pasties!

Loved it!

My family and I loved Redwing Barn! The animals were awesome. Highlights were the donkeys and the kids favourite was the baby goat, they stiil talk about getting to pat it! Lovely spa, comfy beds, great kitchen, sofa is perfect for an afternoon nap. There was always a breeze flowing through the property which made the hot weather very manageable. We really enjoyed the piece and quiet and the convenience of Moonta just down the road.

We loved our stay at Redwing Barn. Kids loved the animals and all loved the spa bath. Everything exactly as in pictures, with all linen, breakfast provisions and small touches taken care of. Very peaceful location between Moonta and Maitland - meaning easy access to beach, golf, and historic mines etc. Very fast and easy to deal with over email also.
