Shops needed a car-we are in our mid 70's. Lovely decor. Pretty garden. Bought some lovely woolen items. Would have preferred a division from the lounge/bed as husband coms to bed late. That fact seemed to be hidden. tv reception abysmal. Heating great and didn't use wood fire-asthmatic and wood effects me. Love the area. Wd stay again.

Ideal for a couple, comfy bed, nice tidy yard. Kitchen adequate for simple meals if you stay in. Easy walk to town with an uphill walk home. Everything was very clean.

Fabulous and comfortable place to stay. Very clean. Everything you would need is there. Great shower! Close to everything in town, then come back to the lovely warmth thanks to the wood heater

Short stay

Property cute and cosy. Needed some essential items like tissues and paper towel. Some more wood needed as the weather was cold and windy. Didn’t think we should have to pay for extra wood. Otherwise quite satisfactory. Good location. No ABC or SVS tv coverage which was very disappointing.

Perfect little cottage

We loved our stay here. The size and Location of the cottage was perfect for a couples getaway. The host was magnificent and bent over backwards to make sure that we had everything that we needed and gave us plenty of local Knowledge.

Cottage stay

Place was OK but for some reason it was impossible to get an accurate tax receipt for the stay. Manager was unhelpful then became outright rude. Soured the stay.

Clean and comfortable cottage. Everything is in the cottage that is needed fron a wonderful stay.

Owner needs to do some maintenance

Unfortunately the mattress had completely collapsed, was incredibly uncomfortable, with displaced springs, and you had to cling to the sides to prevent yourself rolling into the middle. The middle sunk a good 9-12 inches from the sides of the mattress when you lay down, and sleep was thus very difficult. I note previous comments about the soft bed from guests, and the owner replying there was nothing wrong with the bed, but that is not true. In addition, the roof leaked, and we awoke to water dripping from the beam just beside the bed. Cleanliness could have been better - windows had mould, and skirting boards etc were dirty. This is a pity, as the cottage was obviously set up with love and care, and could be just perfect with a little maintenance.

Quite, central location

Quaint little cottage. Could have been clearer in description. Stated 1 bedroom and 1 living room giving the impression of a separate bedroom when in fact a fully opened one room incl kitchen/meals, sitting area, bed and bathroom ( toilet seperate). Lovely garden at the back + small fire place in sitting area.

Lovely anniversary getaway

Catherine was a delight to deal with and even had the heater on for us before we got there on a very cold night. The cottage is immaculately clean and in a great location within walking distance to the centre of Daylesford. The only downside to our weekend is that the bed was way too soft for our liking and we kept rolling into the middle. There were also 2 dogs on nearby properties that barked and whined almost constantly, particularly at night.

Because I fell in love with it. I used to live in Melbourne, but I left to live here full time. I love the country, there is something sacred about nature here that seems to welcome you and shelter you. I write here better than anywhere else I have lived.

It's quiet and full of charm, but so close to the Little Smoke down the hill. Daylesford is a lovely town, vibrant and warm. One can dream here, but also be part of the community. People are helpful and friendly and never make you feel you are a stranger. I can say this first hand, because I have a bit of an accent.
