Beachside Bali inspired tropical retreat with large heated Saltwater pool.

The B&B environment is Bali-inspired and the accommodation is situated within a lush,tropical garden compound. Guest accommodation is in a separate wing separated from the main house by a large salt water pool.

There are two guest rooms each with QS bed, fan, air-conditioning, bar fridge, TV. The nightly rate is for one room and based on 2 people sharing a QS bed. It is our policy when renting one room not to let the other as we do not expect guests who do not know each other to share a bathroom. If 2 single people want separate rooms, an extra fee of $90/night is charged. Both rooms can be reserved for family/friends bookings. When booking the two rooms for 2 extra family/friends a special discounted nightly rate is offered for the extra room.. The nightly rate includes a packaged tropical continental style breakfast.

Guests have full use of the heated pool and garden and are welcome to relax on the day bed.

At the rear of the accommodation are cane fields stretching to rainforest covered mountains and beautiful, pristine, white sanded and palm fringed Newell Beach - over 3.5km long and flanked by two rivers, is just a two minute stroll from the back gate and can be viewed from the main house. Here you can walk, sunbathe, fish and/or watch the sea eagles or resident manta ray hunting.

Tropical North Queensland is a region internationally recognised for its world class natural attractions like the Great Barrier Reef, Mossman Gorge, Daintree River and Rainforest, with crocodiles, butterflies and tropical birds, Cape Tribulation where the rainforest meets the reef, Atherton Tablelands (Cairns hinterland) which offers bird watching, crater lakes and waterfalls. It is also famous for its climate, "beautiful one day, perfect the next". Newell Beach and surrounds offers something for everyone, simply relaxing, or access to an interesting variety of tours and or adventure experiences.

Locality

Newell Beach is 75 kms - just over an hour's drive from Cairns International Airport and only a 20 minute drive from Port Douglas with its boutique shops and galleries and world class restaurants. It is a gateway to the region's two magnificent national parks; the spectacular Great Barrier Reef teeming with an infinite variety of fish life and vibrant, colourful corals; and the stunning Daintree Rainforest with its unique flora and fauna. There are also related tours and sightseeing opportunities to cater for a wide variety of interests.
