Located in the heart of Omeath village and a 5 minute drive from the town of Carlingford, this hillside property, located at the foot of the Cooley Mountains, boasts amazing views of Carlingford Lough and the Mourne Mountains.
Approx 1hr from Belfast and 1hr from Dublin (10min drive from Newry and major shopping centre). The property is recently renovated and is open plan living. The property has ample outside space to enjoy also. Nearby bars, cafes, local restaurants and convenience stores.

Beautiful view!

We enjoyed our stay here. The house had lots of windows, which was nice, as the view was beautiful! The location was a perfect jumping off point for several great spots to check out. We would stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this house, spectacular views, friendly neighbours, comfortable warm home, supermarket and hotel within walking distance, the only downside is the steep hill coming back to the property as we were all 70++, otherwise a lovely place xx

Peaceful place with nice bay overview

We've enjoyed the large-scale space in the house for 2 couples and 2 kids during beginning of june. Omeath is a nice place for have a relaxed time and do some great hikes. During Night it is calm. Upper bathroom facilities could get a bit updated. We would like to come back!

The house is fine. A lot of dogs barking in the neighbourhood. Obviously not the owner’s fault, but annoying anyway.

OMEATH HOLIDAY STAY

We stayed at the property for 4 nights. It was a very well maintained house. The views from the property across Carlingford Lough were beautiful. The house was spacious, plenty of room for 6 people. It was well provided for, in terms of household equipment. Marie, the property manager was very helpful. The house alarm went off inexplicable on Saturday night. She came immediately to sort it out. We would definitely recommend the property.

Tolles Haus in bester Lage

Wir hatten uns das Haus nach der Beschreibung modern vorgestellt. Dass es dabei aber so groß und geräumig ist, überstieg unsere Erwartungen. Vom ersten Moment an fühlten wir uns wohl. Der Blick auf den Carlingford Lough und die Mourne Mountains ist herrlich. Und wenn morgens beim Frühstück ein Schiff quasi am Fenster vorbeizieht, dann ist die Urlaubsstimmung perfekt! Die Lage ist genial für Ausflüge nach Dublin und Belfast. Als Game of Thrones-Fan ist man in 30 Minuten bei den Game of Thrones-Studios in Banbridge (Nordirland), wo einen in dem ehemaligen Aufnahmestudio eine grandiose Ausstellung erwartet. Und in den Mourne Mountains und den Cooley Mountains kann man wunderbar wandern - falls das Wetter es zulässt. Wir können die Unterkunft also wärmstens empfehlen!

Beautiful house

The house is modern and has excellent amenities. We stayed in 2 other VRBO homes this trip and this was by far the nicest home. Unfortunately it was the most expensive, almost double the price of the others that were directly on the water. It is convenient to both Dublin and Northern Ireland. We recommend this property.

Omeath Staycation

The property has excellent facilities especially for the pet with a secure back yard which was in the sun all day. Downstairs bedroom and toilet very handy. Beautifully views of the Lough from this property. Easy access to all local amenities. House was ideal for family, kitchen is well equipped to meet all needs.

Why they chose this property

Its peaceful, serene, and close to all amenities. The pictures do not do justice to the beautiful scenery of Carlingford Lough, and the Mourne Mountains. Warren Point is also clearly viewed from the living room and bedrooms upstairs. The house has a large back yard that is gated for animals and small children. Netflix is available.

What makes this property unique

Stunning Scenery. The mountains are constantly changing color which is such a relaxing thing to watch from the couch.
