Woiworung Cottage es una encantadora cabaña de los primeros colonos (1860), decorada y amueblada para adaptarse a su edad. Cuenta con un calentador de leña, calentadores eléctricos y una cocina totalmente equipada con fogones. Ducha con un baño de cadera, manta eléctrica a la cama queen y un televisor y DVD para una estancia relajante. Se incluye té, café, leche y artículos de tocador de cortesía. Un máximo de cuatro personas pueden alojarse en la cabaña en una reina y dos camas individuales. Sus anfitriones viven en la propiedad en una casa separada. ¡Ven a ver las alpacas, las ovejas y el toro !. Podemos garantizarle que tendrá una noche de sueño reparador. Traiga su propia ropa de cama y toallas (sábana bajera, fundas doona y fundas de almohada). Se puede proporcionar ropa de cama por $ 20 por persona por estadía corta (hasta una semana). Los niños son bienvenidos La cabaña es patrimonio declarado por el National Trust y está a punto de ser patrimonio declarado por el Consejo del Patrimonio.

Was beautiful area but the cabin itself was very run down. sloping uneven floors. back door was sticking and hard to close. generally not very well maintained. TV was way too small and the remote had flat batteries or going flat. All else was ok. Heating facilities were good. Beds were very comfortable.

A place to lay your head

We just needed a warm place to sleep while visiting family in the area. I’m sure it’s just great place to stay in Summer Spring and Autumn. But we found it a bit cold, needing to have the fire and heat pump going and just getting warm enough. The house is sweet, pretty original, with undulating floor….with very basic but adequate bathroom and kitchen. Very thankful for the fire and plenty of firewood.

At Home in Country Victoria

We greatly enjoyed our stay and would love to return some time. The cottage has great charm and historical interest, as well as being comfortable and well equipped. The countryside and the animals and birds add to the beauty of the place. It is very well situated and ideal for visiting Woodend and other nearby towns. Catherine is an excellent host and responded swiftly to any enquiries that we had.

Cottage stay

Lovely old cottage, with so much character! We met with Carlos and Basil who was a highlight with our little ones.Only disappointment was it not having animals the children could interact with (sheep and alpacas were in distant paddocks).

Rest and relaxation

Just what we needed after a busy few weeks. Quiet, and beautifully furnished and decorated in the style of ‘yesteryear’. Ideal for reading, sleeping, chatting, board games and just taking ‘time out’.Beautiful location surrounded by pasture land, the occasional kangaroo in the distance and easy access to places in the region.We recommend the Three Little Pigs in Gisborne for brunch.(PS A new wooden spoon for the kitchen might be a good idea).

Very rustic cottage in nice surrounds. Had a musty feel, with old relics and furniture. TV was very small and the volume button didn’t work. Air conditioner worked well. Bathroom was adequate. The mattress dipped in the middle. Enjoyed our stay. Ka

Adventure in the country

Oh, the peace and quiet of the country! What a peaceful and relaxing location, only minutes from town! There was a lovely fire lit for our arrival, the beds were comfortable and the alpacas adorable!

Touching History

This was a great way to experience how life was 160 years ago. Even though the house has had many changes over the years you can still see many original parts. Note these old farm houses never had proper foundations and were never straight plumb and level. This is an important part of our history - don't expect too much. The owners did their best to make the house comfortable without making it all new. We enjoyed our stay thank you

Homely and peaceful

We found this little cottage cosy and comfortable and was close to shops. This 1850 home is decorated with detail to suit the period, and it felt like we'd stepped back in time. With the low price and tranquil area, the cottage was a great choice for our stay.

Great little hideaway

A quaint little cottage (circa 1870s) in beautiful Gisborne. Very comfortable, and authentically olde world accommodation. Would happily stay there again.

Very sweet cottage

We had a productive weekend working in this old-world cottage in a quiet location. The kitchen was fairly well equipped, heater made the winter evenings cosy, and beds were very comfortable. Not recommended for active kids as there are lots of hanging breakables.

Unique experience

Wanted somewhere cosy whilst attending a first birthday. This place was absolutely as described but better. So much history everywhere U look. Particularly loved the sunny kitchen. Had the best nights sleep I've had in a long time. Hosts go above and beyond. Loved feeding the alpacas and getting doggo cuddles.

Review

Very quaint old style cottage with a good historical vibe. 3 35-45yr old men were very comfortable as we were only in area for a wedding. A little remote but that didn't bother us as we had transport, amenities are still within walking distance (30-40 min,but we're ex ADF so...) Hosts were very friendly & kept us topped with firewood. There is some local nature areas very close if you're into birding. Overall very comfortable for a nice price.

Great weekend away

Loved the house, very cozy weekend away relaxing in front of the fire. House was great and kids loved the old style fittings and had plenty of room outside to play and enjoy.

overpriced for the amenities

Fridge did not have a freezer, therefore we had to throw out food. We paid extra for linen, there was a flanette sheet on the double bed on the hottest day of the year and in summer, there were not sheets in the 2nd bedroom. The TV was tiny. One of the bedroom doors didnt close. We killed 2 whitetailed spiders in the cottage. The carpets were stained. In the main bedroom the wardrobe didnot open - no where to hang up clothes, the elect power point was not working next to the verandah. Overall very disappointed, the place was way overpriced. The place was very clean and towells lovely, along with toiletries. The scenery was great, saw lots of kangaroos.
