Black Mountain Lookout is a beautiful, recently remodeled quintessential log cabin atop Black Mountain with winter views of the White Mountains. Ski-in, ski-out to Black Mountain's Bob O Link trail or cross country ski down the Betty Whitney Circuit Trail. In the heart of it all for Summer activities as well. Located slope side on Black Mountain in Jackson, this lovely log cabin has all the amenities to make your stay memorable.

This light-filled home boasts a large river rock fireplace in a light filled living room and a newly remodeled kitchen. There is plenty of space for 8 people with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large living room and a separate downstairs family room. A large wrap around deck with a new 6 person hot tub are perfect for relaxing at the end of the day.

Year around, this location simply can't be beat!! Ski-in, ski-out to Black Mountain or Nordic ski trails in the winter. Attitash, Cranmore and Wildcat Mountains are a short 20 minute drive. In the summer, wander out the front door to hiking trails or explore the hundreds of miles of trails and waterways in the White Mountain National Forest. The house is just a 2.5 mile drive into Jackson or 10 miles to North Conway, the #1 Ski Town in the USA voted by readers of USA Today. End your day with a family dinner at home or at one of the many nearby restaurants. For those visiting in the winter, this is a mountain side location, and it is recommended you have a vehicle with all wheel drive or snow tires to access our home.

Jackson is a popular mountain community with history, charm and accessibility. First settled in the 1770's, the area offers a myriad of fun things to do including skiing, hiking, fishing, sightseeing, kayaking, boating, biking, golfing, outlet shopping, craft beer touring & dining in Jackson and the surrounding communities. The area is known for skiing and hiking.

Notes: Please be aware there are scams on Craigslist trying to rent this home. We only rent through HomeAway/VRBO. Firewood is not provided but is readily available in town. For security purposes, there is a security camera monitoring the access road to the property which is mounted on house above the deck and facing down the access road.

This house was absolutely beautiful and clean. Lots of space. The bathrooms were large with one on each floor, two main living room areas, a beautiful stone fireplace, a hot tub, and all the amenities you could need. Check-in was easy. It felt secluded yet close to everything. This was a 10 out of 10 property!

What a beautiful property in the mountains! The house is beautiful and very clean. It had any and every item that we needed (dishes, utensils, nice cookware, spices etc). We had plans to go out to dinner but enjoyed the house and property so much that we opted to stay in, cook and play family board games. Everything was perfect! Neat, organized, clean and spacious. The host got back to us in a timely manner but honestly, if we had just read all of the directions prior to checking in we would’ve never needed to contact him. Trails to the mountains were right behind the house. The house was secluded and made for a beautiful weekend. Water is hot, hot tub was enjoyed by all. We had a great family weekend with our grown children and their babies. Looking forward to renting again when the babies become toddlers!

Pictures didn’t do this cabin justice! It was absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The owners were responsive and helpful. The cabin was well stocked with everything you could need, it was exceptionally clean and the decor was well thought out. We’d book this cabin again in a heartbeat.

This house was beautiful, clean and very spacious. Hot tub right on the deck was awesome! Location was great close to attractions, restaurants and everything we needed. The host was very responsive! We had no issues and enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

Incredible home with wonderful space for everyone - including your pup! We loved the privacy of the location and enjoyed some less crowded gems (hikes, restaurants) away from North Conway. My kiddos are older, but this is also a great location for Story Land -- and less traffic since it is the opposite direction of N. Conway. Beautiful home; cozy and classy with all the kitchen stuff, towels, and games you could possibly need. Would definitely go back! Host was super helpful with all of our questions. Jacuzzi was a huge bonus - and the beds were SO comfy. Highly recommend!!

Great Stay in the Mountains

Absolutely beautiful home - really feels like you are away from everything. The home is large and is well stocked with everything you would ever need. Everything was very clean and the process was straightforward. We especially enjoyed the wood fire and hot tub. We will definitely be back!

Ladies weekend

Had a wonderful time at the cabin. Location, location, location!! The views are amazing, the hot tub was super clean as well as the entire house. The beds and bedding were very comfy, plenty of room for our party of five and then some. We hiked up ski trails and just enjoyed the mountain vistas. A fabulous time was had by all of us and looking forward to going back again in the fall season for more spectacular views!Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

Amazing Cabin for family

We had an amazing stay in this cabin with my two small children. The fireplace and hot tub make for a perfect getaway. I highly recommend Jackson Falls nearby and a trip to Mount Washington.

NH Getaway

It was really hard to leave this one at the end (even our pup wanted to stay)! Beautifully furnished home nestled in the mountainside. Extremely private yet still only 5 minutes from town, about 15 from North Conway. 10/10 cleanliness. We immediately felt right at home! This was an extremely large house for just us but we wanted room to roam. The layout is perfect to share with 2 or 3 families. Hot tub and fireplace functioned properly, kitchen fully stocked with appliances, bring your own toiletries. So many nooks and spaces in this home to have privacy to work, read a book, etc. Kevin was easy to get in touch with and the property listing was accurate. We want to highlight/support the recommendation for an AWD or 4WD vehicle. We drove up in a newer Camry and she was getting pushed to her limit. The property is up a series of steep inclines so be prepared with a reliable vehicle! Thank you so much for having us, Kevin!

Wonderful Place!

Five of us stayed at this lovely home for a girls’ fall foliage trip. The home is secluded and lovely with plenty of room to relax and hang out. The location was perfect. Jackson is quaint and the White Mountains are right there! We used this as home base and also visited VT and ME. It was a wonderful experience with a great host.

Lovely, private & close to everything

A very lovely and unique home. Listed picture are accurate :). Super private but easy access to main roads. Enjoyed the hot tub every day. Some times twice a day. We were just a party of 2 but this is a large home with room for many more. Super clean home, and I’m super particular about that- well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, awesome fireplace. A great experience for sure. We were lucky to find this home available for our trip dates!

Blissful retreat on Black Mountain

This was the perfect retreat for a couple of friends looking to get away for a few days and enjoy the beginnings of the fall foliage and all of the wonderful activities in the White Mountains. The owner was very responsive with the few questions we had. As many others have said, the house is impeccably clean, well stocked, and very private, all while being just a few minutes away from town. Particular highlights were the hot tub, the wrap around windows in the living room and the wonderful fireplace! The kitchen has everything you might possibly need to actually cook including items like a box grater, measuring cups, and a plethora of bowls. We will definitely keep this place in mind when we return to the area.

What a GEM!

What a trip! We ALL had such a great time. We were traveling with 3 families that included a 3 month old, 1 year old and a 3 year old. The house was absolutely perfect! Everyone had their own personal space. So if people wanted to sleep in, they could do so. The kitchen was well appointed. The deck, grill and hot tub was an added bonus. We were all sad to leave, but definitely will come back.

Wonderful Stay.

Kevin was super from beginning to end of our vacation experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Even got to see a bear one evening . Thank you Kevin for your prompt response when I had a question. We loved your place. So clean and very well maintained and well equipped. Would def recommend 😊 As a side note, traveling with toddlers, gates are a must.

Amazing home!

This is a beautiful log cabin on Black Mountain. The cabin was clean, spacious for our group of 6 and dog. The kitchen is stocked with nice cutlery, dishes and glassware. We didn’t do much cooking, but there were plenty of pots and pans. There was an immersion blender!

Beautiful Vacation Home!

Stayed for 5 nights in August for a family vacation. The house was tastefully decorated and spacious. Loved the all the natural lighting and lighting from the beautiful fixtures. The house is in close proximity to downtown Jackson and other attractions and scenery. The hot tub and steam shower were added bonuses. We would definitely go back! Highly recommend!
