BlueMill Escape accommodate upto 12 guests (using 2 properties)
If you have more than 6 guests then BlueMill Escape is the place for you - we can accommodate upto 12 guests in our 2 properties which are side-by-side - BlueMill Cottage and BlueMill Lodge - we call this BlueMill Escape.
Properties are pet friendly and are just a short stroll into Bright and the famous Rail Trail at your doorstep. Stunning views too!

Bright + Beautiful

We have just spent 5 fabulous days at this beautifully appointed and homely cottage. So relaxing to come back to after a day off activities. Great too, to be able to walk (or cycle) to everything in Bright. Thanks for having us!

Fantastic getaway

We had a great time at Bluemill cottage - the location in beautiful Bright was lovely, great outlook over the town and mountains. The house was clean, with beautiful furnishings and all the facilities for time away from home! The host was thorough and easy to communicate with. We especially loved the house being dog friendly!

The house was really comfortable and generously stocked with little things that you need. We loved it here. They don’t have those weird brands you don’t recognise in the pantry (ie they have Twinings tea bags). It’s a great location too.

Relax, Relax, Relax

Spent two nights with my wife and another couple, plus our beautiful dog. Two nights is far too short a stay. Such a comfortable, well appointed property covering every detail. House and garden in immaculate condition. Highly recommend.

Second time and will go again

Love this house, absolutely perfect back yard for dogs, completely secure, with lawn, deck and paved area for them to use and relax on. House is always spotless and we never use our car when staying here as everything is within walking distance. We skied at Falls Creek and went to dinner plain with the dogs ( the other side of Mt Hotham) we just had the most fantastic week. Also you must do the canyon walk and cherry walk with your dogs. Just spectacular.

Beautiful views and lovely property

Seamless checkin. Family friendly house for my 2 teens who had their own area upstairs with a cosy nook to hang out in and watch tv on beanbags. A thoughtful and appreciated touch with the welcome pack with local goodies. A beautiful lawned area with gorgeous views.

Better than advertised

We were blown away with the property. Great for dogs to play outide and every feature you could want in a holiday home. We will definitely come back when we return to Bright.

A Little Piece of Heaven in Bright!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Mill Cottage. It is exactly that - a quaint little cottage with all the furnishings and fittings to make it super homely! The views are breathtaking!!! Thoroughly enjoyed being up high and overlooking the mountains. Well located to the town centre too! Comfy beds and lots of natural light. We would have brought our pet dog had we have realised how much land there is on site and how suitable it would have been. Communication was great too! We also received a complimentary guest gift which was a nice touch!! Thank you. We shall be back!!

A lovely bright family home in a great location.

We spent three nights here whilst attending our daughter’s wedding and found that it accommodated our family of six adults and one baby well. It is very well appointed throughout and has a great yard suitable for BBQs and entertaining or kids play area. Great views from the deck. Our only criticisms were that there is no food storage area in the kitchen - a definate lack of overhead cupboard/pantry space which is definately required for a family stay. Also the main bathroom is small, although the ensuite off the main bedroom is very roomy. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Beautifully presented with every amentity, utensil, useful item you could need or want

Lovely cozy place, immaculately clean and serving every need you could want. Lovely wine on arrival and the yard was a perfect size for our dogs. If you have escapees then the fences may not be high enough. Gorgeous views of Bright and wonderful location to town and the rail trail. We will stay again.

Enjoyable stay

A lovely cottage with everything you need for a comfy weekend away. Loved the fact there was a coffee pod machine! Clean and nicely furnished. Our family of 4 plus furry friend had a great weekend. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Fantastic property!

It had everything we needed and even toys for the kids to play with. The location was great as the rail trail is pretty much at your doorstep and you can walk or ride to everything. The views were amazing and we could even see the snow on the alps from the veranda. We will definitely be back again.
