Easy checking, with face to face interaction with owners, cottage contains everything you need. Lovely views, peace and quiet, away from hustle and bustle.
Nothing to fault - Ada is an excellent communicator who really values her guests & goes over and above to make them happy and comfortable. She set the hammock up for me, which I loved. The fridge was fully stocked, the accommodation was absolutely lovely and cosy. We used the spa, there was fresh bacon and eggs for breakfast, the location is close to Bendigo so we were able to take day trips but also retreat in peace every night. Incredible birds and very cute llamas, wonderful chickens, absolutely idyllic. I would love to come again and bring a romantic partner. Highly recommend this place!
My partner and I had such a wonderful time staying here, the strawbale units are just beautiful! Ada, Prue, and the alpacas were so welcoming and we felt right at home instantly. The property is breathtaking, and we recommend taking an early morning walk around it! It was hard to leave, but we'll definitely be going back.
Ada warmly welcomed us and gave us a comprehensive introduction to the property, including giving us some delicious homemade Anzac biscuits! The unit was tastefully decorated with interesting local items. The fridge was thoughtfully stocked with breakfast ingredients which we used. We enjoyed dining outside in the gazebo which has beautiful views of the property. The alpacas were very cute and we saw lots of kangaroos too. Many thanks for a lovely long weekend!
We felt welcomed from the time of booking.
The room and indeed the whole property was immaculately presented.
Any requests were welcome and satisfied quickly.
Highly recommended people do themselves a favor and try at least once. We will return again.
Ada emailed me to confirm our stay within the hour and corresponded with me with lots of detail to assist us in getting to MillDuck. She greeted us as we came in after dark from town and was immediately so kind, witty and accomodating. We received a comprehensive understanding of the property and the next morning over coffee we watched Prue ready a maiden Alpaca for her first birth. We were able to get up close and see the birth of a baby cria and were blown away by the experience. Day trips in the afternoon to Bendigo and Castlemaine followed with mornings spent on the porch or in the paddocks of Mill Duck. Spa Bath and fireplace in our cabin were a big bonus. We were super cosy and we found it to be such a restful long weekend thanks to Ada and Prue.
From the moment we arrived we were met by Ada who was most welcoming. An abundance of information and very hospitable. We enjoyed socialising with you. Peace, quietness and privacy with amazing views. Our expectations were far exceeded. Thankyou so much and we will see you again.
What a wonderful time we had staying at MillDuck! A world away from the hustle and bustle of life.
Our cottage was clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped with everything you would need for a few days away including a spa and woodfire. The breakfast provisions were very much appreciated too!
We enjoyed the friendly & very cute alpacas with their babies as well as being able to walk just about everywhere on the property.
You are at least twenty minutes from Bendigo so bring supplies if you want to stay in and why would you want to go anywhere else?
We had a relaxing, stress free time away and hope you so too.
We had a fantastic stay at Millduck over Easter. The accomodation was excellent. We loved our interactions with the alpacas. The bird life was also a highlight.
Ada was a great host. She communicated well with us and made sure we had everything we needed.
This was an incredible place to stay. Ada and Prue are amazing hosts. The room was clean and well equipped. The property was beautiful and the Alpaca's were amazingly cute. Couldn't have asked for a more wonderful place to spend our long weekend.
Thank you for being really great hosts. We will most definitely be back.

A beautiful property with considerate and very friendly hosts. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in relaxing surroundings, I highly recommend staying here. Ada was a lovely host, who always made sure that we had all we needed but without intruding on our privacy. Thank you
We had the perfect birthday weekend. The accommodation was impeccable. Ada was a fabulous host and it was really interesting roaming the farm and seeing the alpacas up close. The locality seems remote but has many great attractions nearby. We’ll be back!
