Located just five minutes walk to Wentworth Falls village, this beautifully restored, conservation listed home, offers luxury accommodation, free unlimited WIFI and NETFLIX - just perfect for weekend getaways or mid week breaks.

Burnbank House has been decorated in the Federation Arts and Craft Bungalow style of 1915 with a welcome blend of antique furniture and modern conveniences. The decorative ceilings, original leadlight windows, ornate fireplaces and restored Kauri pine floors are complimented by the sweeping front verandah with views to the east and a large back deck bordered by a bespoke stone wall.

Relax in the lounge room as you sprawl out on the Chesterfield sofa or take your morning coffee at the kitchen bench which has been upcycled from the railway sleepers unearthed from the original foundations of the house. After a day out exploring the treasures of Wentworth Falls and beyond, treat yourself to a soak in the claw foot bath.

The four bedrooms offer the comfort of quality linen, generous doonas and blankets with the provision of extra pillows.

This house was amazing and the hosts were super accommodating. They refunded us the extra guest fee when our guest numbers changed and we didn’t need the full number of beds. The table tennis was also a hit and the location was super convenient to town. Would definitely come back.

Absolutely gorgeous house, with a very homely feeling. Plenty of room & very well appointed. Walking distant to some lovely shops, restaurant & the Grand View Hotel. Also a short drive to Katoomba & Leura. Being on the highway, there is some traffic noise, but not so loud as it's annoying or disturbed our sleep. Would definitely stay again & recommend it to others.

A Lovely Stay

This beautifully restored old home is a joy to live in. That is cook, eat, sleep and (in our case) spend quality time with family from overseas. The kitchen is well equipped. The high ceilings and leadlight windows give a sense of spaciousness and the under floor heating works a treat!

Absolutely gorgeously renovated heritage home in perfect location

My friends (5 of us in total) stayed at Burnbank house for a weekend girls getaway. We cooked, enjoyed the beautiful sitting room, and enjoyed easy walks to cafes. House was just stunning. Immaculately renovated and designed. VERY comfortable beds. I’m 7 months pregnant and slept so well. Easy drive to Katoomba and Leura. Can’t recommend this place enough and look forward to coming back again.

Fantastic

We are a group of friends who all have older teenage kids. We left them all at home and had a weekend away.from the dinner we all had together on the first night and the breakfasts we all had together to the excellent Shakespeare we saw at the Everglades and the casual walks down to Wenty shops, everything was perfect. It was marvellous and we would very much like to come back. The house is beautiful. Thank you for the excellent hospitality!

Blue Mountains Retreat

My friends and I spent 3 nights at Burnbank house and it was absolutely lovely! The house was gorgeous, clean and tidy. Our hosts were excellent communicators with an easy check in and check out process. Would highly recommend to others looking to stay in Wentworth Falls. One thing to consider is, because the house is on the older side albeit renovated, it may not be super allergy friendly. A few of my friends, who are allergy prone did struggle a bit.

Beautifully restored gem

Burnbank House is a favourite of ours - we have been visiting for a weekend each year for the past seven, and Burnbank never disappoints. This beautiful house has been lovingly restored and has everything you could want for a mountains getaway. It may be on the main road but with double glazing you don't notice once inside. The bistro at the pub across the road is great for our Friday night dinner, a short walk to Wentworth Falls shops, and plenty to do in the area. Four bedrooms, separate lounge and dining rooms, there's plenty of space and comfort in this gem, and the hosts are the best i have dealt with.

Perfect location

We just completed our stay in this lovely restored heritage property. The home is located within easy walking distance for the Grand Cliff Top walk, train station and shops. The Grandview Hotel which had a great bistro/dining room is 2 minutes away. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay with ducted heating throughout, hot showers and very comfortable beds. Though the property faces onto the Great Western Highway, the vehicles going past didn’t affect our stay. The home is actually accessible from the rear in Dalrymple Ave with plenty of vehicle parking space. We used the trains for transport and with a cost around $1 one way for Leura & Katoomba it’s very economical. There are good take out food outlets in Wentworth Falls about 5 minutes walk away. We highly recommend this property and thank our hosts for allowing us to stay.

Why they chose this property

We had been searching for a suitable property of some historic significance to undertake a restoration project. On Saturday 6th April 2013, a well attended auction was held onsite at Burnbank, 166 Great Western Highway, Wentworth Falls and Ashley placed the winning bid.

We engaged the services of heritage architect, Margie Fallon of Integrated Design and plans were soon underway to restore, renew and renovate this valuable heritage property. Work on the property began in August 2013 and guests will find the venture well documented in the project album located in the house.
