The Hotel Sandos Playacar Beach Resort & Spa is a five-star, Hotel complex, which includes the Sandos Riviera Beach Resort & Spa section. Ideally located on a magnificent sandy beach, within a short distance from the town of PLAYA DEL CARMEN in the Playacar area (Private Housing Develop), the pier to COZUMEL Island AND 45 minutes from the Cancun International Airport. The archaeological sites of Tulúm and Cobá are within an hour drive of this Sandos Playacar Beach Resort. It is paradise.

We have all the Sandos "Playacar, Caracol, Cancun and Finisterra in Los Cabos, which ever resort has availability.

KIDS UNDER 12 YEARS OF AGE are ALL FREE.
Kids 13 to 17 are 15% off, 3rd person in the same room also gets 15% off the all-inclusive.

1. Family section suite (accommodation) (2 queen size beds, couch bed and a Jacuzzi inside the room) The room is huge AND can accommodate 5 people.
We also have a room with king bed, bunk beds and a Jacuzzi in the room.

2. Superior and Select Ocean front room (2 queen size beds (accommodate 4 people) OR King bed (accommodate 1 couple) a regular couch. This room is Oceanfront and it's for adults only.

3. Junior Hacienda (accommodation has 2 queen size beds and a couch bed. It fits 2 adults and 3 kids or 3 adults and 2 little kids. It has a private pool and a hot tub.

ALL THESE SUITES DEPENDS on availability; however, you will receive a VIP Package, black bracelet no matter what your choice

The property is in a safe, gated community and was very easy to navigate, once we walked around a bit. We chose to stay in one of the family rooms with the bunk beds for my kids. Get the nicest room you can afford. Worth it!We arrived later than expected and weren’t able to do the Royal Elite check in. STRONGLY recommend arriving before 6pm or there will be a wait at the desk to get checked in - this was not the best start, but things improved afterward. My kids LOVED the buffet, which was good, because restaurant options were very limited due to construction. The Cupcake Cafe was my go-to spot for coffee. Favorite à la carte was the Italian. No issues with the food or water at all, but I’d recommend planning ahead if you like ice - you have to call room service for this. Other room service fav: chicken wings! We didn’t get to spend much time in the Adults Only areas, but the Royal Elite Family areas were great. We went in the off season, so the resort was less crowded. Housekeeping was diligent in coming and cleaning our room. I was not a fan of the toiletries, preferring to use my own. Just use the “app” to ask for washcloths. They aren’t automatically provided but they’ll give you extra towels, washcloths, etc if you need them. The shining star of this resort is the beach. Gorgeous. My husband and kids had a fantastic time in the water on multiple days, even in October, snorkeling, swimming and just playing around. Temperatures were perfect.

Great location. Great host.

Nice room with double beds. Great view. Walking distance to nice restaurants. More importantly, the host was very attentive and quick to respond to my emails. Thanks for a very memorable vacation!!

Resort located in the jungle with everything you need

This resort is very big and has everything you need for a vacation. It is located in Playacar area (a gated community). The resort has bikes you can rent so you can explore Playacar and enjoy their small market area- there’s even a Starbucks! The resort itself has many different pools and a small water park. The beach has beautiful white sand and the water is clear. The kids enjoyed boogie boarding in the waves. Water is about stomach to chest height on me for a long ways out. In hindsight I should have packed floaties for my 6 year old as she couldn’t touch anywhere. It was a great stay! Food was mediocre, but kind of what you expect from buffets and resorts.

Host was Amazing! Very communicative and saved us money!

First, I want to say how amazing of a host Georgette was. She was incredibly communicative and went the extra mile to save us additional money and make things great for our stay. The property is pretty nice! We were there at full capacity, so of course there are sometimes issues with rooms and dinner reservations, but nothing at all do to with the host or the kindness of the staff. Would highly recommend booking through Georgette if you want to stay at Sandos Playacar with a full VIP experience!

Georgette was Amazing, resort leaves something to be desired for families

Georgette was amazing and the staff at the resort even knew her well. She was very helpful and we were happy not to be limited with the black bracelet. It seems to be the best way to go and best deal for your money at this resort. As a couple this would be a fantastic steal of you stay up in the couple side. As a family that stayed in a bunk bed room down by the lobby, the trek to get food midday got very old. Also, you absolutely have to set up dinner reservations the minute you check in if not before. There is no way you will get in the first two nights and will be forced to drag your kids up to the buffet by the beach for lunch and dinner. We're thin people and very much in shape, the walk or wait for the carts to ride got old. None of this is Georgettes fault though and she was amazing. Highly recommend booking through her.

Property was wonderful, hosts were great with communication. We were in the family section and were concerned about noise but it was not a problem at all. Can't wait to return and would rent from Georgette again!

Just what we needed!

We had a great time here - the shady spots by the VIP pool and beach area were amazing. We also enjoyed the beautiful tropical, shady landscaping, walking back and forth to various parts of the resort and checking out the wildlife. The beach was excellent, and a lot less seaweed there than i am used to in other Playa areas. The food was good (we preferred to go to the buffet mostly - tons of healthy options there for us). They put out an amazing spread there for new year's. We weren't overly impressed with the sit-down restaurants - the food was decent, but not much different in quality from the buffet, but it makes a nice change to have waiter service every now and then. We thought the Italian restaurant was the best of the ones we tried. Georgette was really helpful and made booking everything a breeze. We would come back for sure!

Great stay in an All-Inclusive resort with member benefits

We just got back from staying at the Sandos Playacar for 5 nights and booking thru Georgette was the best decision. Great communication all the way thru. She also helped us with other questions regarding Playa Del Carmen. We also booked our private transfer using Georgette’s recommendation and that service was great. You can read and watch YouTube about Sandos Playacar - it’s a beautiful resort, we didn’t care for the food though.

Excellent host

Georgette is a wonderful host. She was immediate in all communication. She worked out our airport shuttle and a resort room upgrade. She had tips for our stay. The resort has changed over the years, as it’s not as teen friendly as it once was, but that is not the fault of this host. She was great and the resort room was beautiful.

Great time at Sandos! Very professional staff and very very clean. It’s a HUGe resort but they have little golf carts that’s take you everywhere. The night shows are amazing and fun. The host was great and quick to respond thanks again

Georgette was amazing. Property was really nice

Georgette was absolutely amazing! She communicated very well and was always available. I'm my review, please note this is during the COVID pandemic, and I do not believe it reflects how the resort would be under normal circumstances. The property is really nice, and as expected for an all inclusive resort. The hotel was clean and property was close to town by nine ride. Access to the black bracelets were amazing! Most of the time we received upgrades alcohol on request, but this only happens at a select few bars, which usually included a walk. The food was really good for all inclusive. All staff were friendly, though I do not feel they went above and beyond like other resorts I have been to. Again, with this review, we were traveling dining COVID tones, and would expect it to be much better under normal circumstances. All in all, I would definitely recommend this property.

Georgette was the best host we have ever had!!! She helped arrange our transportation and helped us extend our stay when our flight was cancelled. She went above and beyond our expectations!! The resort is safe and beautiful! The food was excellent and the staff were all friendly and helpful......we highly recommend! :)

Wonderful resort!

Sandos was great! The property is large and beautifully landscaped. We enjoyed all the different animals there as well. The beach is gorgeous and there were plenty of chairs at the beaches and pools. Food was terrific and lots of variety - much better than many all inclusives we've been to. Shows were well done, and high quality.
