Fantastic weekend break! Tranquil rainforest, easy to navigate walks to waterfalls, native birds, cows in the paddock...blissful! My 3 year old grandson loved Charlie the horse, marshmallows at the firepit and clambering around the paddocks. The cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed - and a million dollar view down the valley! Our hosts were fantastic and our doggos were welcome: a brilliant way to de-stress and re-connect.
A very relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle
Whipbird cabin is a delightful little cottage overlooking open paddocks as well as forest. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We went for a couple of very short walks due to problems with walking. However, if you are up for it the walks look amazing - rainforest and waterfall included.
The glass fronted wood heater was a boon, given it was winter. There I real buzz in watching the flames.
My partner and I stayed here with friends (another couple) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The property itself is beautiful - we loved exploring the forest and seeing the waterfalls. The location is great too - close enough to Brisbane to be easy to get to, but far enough away that you really feel like you're having a break.
Bonus points for Dodge, the very friendly dog.
