Enjoy carefree beach living and spectacular ocean views from our beautiful, newly renovated and fully appointed apartment - the perfect weekend escape for just the two of you, or a longer break with the kids.
Our light, airy sea-facing apartment is on the second floor of a 12 apartment block, up two short flights of stairs. Clean, modern lines with light wood in sun-bleached hues and soft, comfortable sofas in nautical blues and whites add to your sense of utter relaxation.
The open-plan living area incorporates a modern kitchen, dining area, lounge and balcony.
A fully appointed kitchen is equipped for you to whip up a gourmet meal, and includes a full size fridge/freezer, microwave, oven/hob, wine fridge to keep your Chardonnay chilled, a coffee maker, dishwasher and crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils. Sadly, a chef isn't included.
Our dining area includes a 6-seater glass dining room table, which leads to the balcony where you can put a few steaks on the Weber barbecue, relax and enjoy the ever changing seascape, the sound of the waves gently lapping at the shore, a gentle breeze and occasionally, the sighting of a pod of whales or dolphins. It's also the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee. On colder evenings, wrap up in our soft blankets and watch the moonlight reflected on the gentle waves below.
Sink into overstuffed comfy sofas after a lazy sun kissed day spent at the beach, where you can use the Wi-fi to upload holiday pics, or catch up on your favourite series or a movie on a large flat-screen TV.
Sink happily into a comfortable Queen sized bed and get lulled into a blissful sleep amongst crisp sheets and linen and a soft puffy duvet in the master bedroom. Extra blankets are provided in the cupboard, for those who suffer from permanently cold feet. The bed also has a LED touch for your convenience.
The second bedroom is comfortably furnished with two single beds and extra blankets in the drawers below the bed.
Our bathroom is small, but luxuriously appointed. You'll probably get your best ideas here as you relax under the gentle, caressing water of the rain shower and there are heated towel racks too! A hairdryer is also provided.
Our guests have access to a small lock-up garage directly below the apartment. The washing machine and dryer are stored here, and are for our guests use. There is plenty of street parking available.
Our guests have direct access to Bongin Bongin Beach via a security gate on the apartment property. This beach is popular with walkers, swimmers and body boarders, and is quieter as there is no direct street access.
A communal grassed area with tables, chairs and sun lounges at the front of the apartment is also available for guests.
There are a number of terrific restaurants and cafes within short walking distance, while a number of shops, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and the library and post shop are a 20 minute walk, or 5 minute drive from us.
There are some lovely walking and cycling paths in the area, along with the Mona Vale Golf Course, while numerous beaches and a national park lie further afield.
The centre of Sydney is a 50 minute bus trip away.
Interaction with guests
We use our apartment for a weekend getaway and holiday home, while we live and work in Sydney. You can contact me via phone, email, text and WhatsApp.
A friend in the block will be able to help with matters requiring immediate assistance.
Other things to note
We are happy to host longer stays. There are reduced rates for stays of one week or longer.
All linen and towels are provided.
Basic toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, sun block and toilet paper.
Cleaning products include dish washing liquid and laundry liquid.
An iron and ironing board are provided.
Condiments include salt, pepper, herbs, tea bags and coffee. Limited Nescafe pods are available for the coffee machine.
