Incredible location. Close to everything. Lots of partying and nightlife. Hot water heater wasn’t working, so guy came to look at it. Said the hot water heater was new, but it only seemed to be coming on one minute at a time. So to get hot water you had to turn it off and on every minute. Ok, for shower, but couldn’t take the time and effort to do that to make the jacuzzi hot. So no jacuzzi. Hot showers were very short. AC leaked on tile floor and I fell. I’m a firm believer that things happen, but it’s how you handle it. I told the owner about the issues and we weren’t happy with our stay. I was not aggressive or angry, just matter of fact. We wanted to use the jacuzzi for our stay but couldn’t, it was disappointing. The owner, Barry, was so defensive and aggressive in his response. It literally shocked me. He told me I’m lazy (because I needed to empty a jug that the ac drained into. But I had already emptied the jug, and AC was still leaking) and I was cheap (because I let him know I used the rest of the laundry detergent to clean the towels that I used to soak up the water from the AC) I just stopped communicating with him, considering he was already so defensive. Check out wasn’t very clear cut either. He said to leave the keys and let me self out. But I still needed to get my deposit back. We waited over an hour for someone to show up and do a “walk through” I got my money. I had a great time in Colombia. It was just upsetting that the apartment wasn’t up to the standards that we had hoped for. And I hope Barry’s poor communication improves and that life gets better for him.
