Impresionante ubicación de campo y vista al mar, pero cerca de Reykjavik

En el lodge Brekka seguramente tendrá una cálida bienvenida, independientemente del clima. Te sentirás cómodo en el agradable espacio abierto de la casa y la gran terraza alrededor, disfrutando de la privacidad de este sitio prístino. La atractiva bañera geotérmica se coloca discretamente en los arbustos del abedul en medio de la naturaleza pura. La ubicación es excelente, con una gran vista con tonos de luz siempre cambiantes en la bahía de Hvalfjord y el Océano Atlántico, y el grupo de montañas Sulur en la otra dirección. Un pequeño arroyo hace el borde de la propiedad a medida que fluye por el barranco. El Lodge Brekka (significa pendiente) es una hermosa casa, terminada en 2013. Se sienta muy bien en la ladera, de ahí el nombre. Para 6 personas tiene mucho espacio, además hay un sofá cama doble en el espacio abierto de arriba, ideal para niños. De esa manera, Brekka puede acomodar a 8 personas a pedido. Tenga en cuenta que, si se reserva para más de 6 personas, se aplicará un recargo de € 30, - pr. persona, pr. Se aplicará la noche.
Brekka es un lugar magnífico para alojarse, un verdadero refugio de Reykjavik, "bastante cerca pero lo suficientemente lejos". La casa está aproximadamente a 45 minutos en coche de Reikiavik, a solo 1,5 horas del aeropuerto KEF. Brekka tiene una conexión gratuita de fibra de vidrio para Internet y TV.

Loved our stay at Brekka. Wonderfully remote and scenic, loved the hot tub and general location of the property worked for us as we did not want to be in the City. Hosts were amazing, from initial booking to visiting us when we were there to help us sort out a small mouse challenge!

Brekka is located in an incredible setting with amazing views over the lake and mountains. It’s peaceful and calm. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable with everything you need for self catering holidays. Any questions that I had were quickly answered both before check in and during the stay. There is a supermarket 25 mins away by car which has everything you’d need. Reykjavik was an easy drive if you want a city visit. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time at the Brekka house. It was everything we had hoped for and better! The kitchen was well equipped and the view from the windows and deck were stunning The geothermal hot tub was a luxury after our hikes. We would most certainly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

What a beautiful place! Iceland is a beautiful country, but Brekka is in the most beautiful location. The hosts were helpful. The place was clean. It was easy to drive to Reykjavik and other places. The views were amazing.

Perfect as a base to come home to absolutely everything was A1. Very pleased, the property is nicer than the listing leads you to believe.I did feel that the hot tub would have been better placed up on the balcony (especially for when it snows) giving better views from tub and less risk of slipping at night.

Great Spot

Wonderful location just 45 minutes from Reykjavic. It is certainly out in the countryside, but it was nice and quiet. 20 mins to a grocery store and the kitchen was equipped enough for our breakfasts we made at home before heading out for the day. Very clean, and the hot tub was great. No issues whatsoever.

3 adults, used as a base for hiking and exploring south and central Iceland including Snaefellsness, Landmannalaugar (that was a long drive though), and Vestmannaeyjar. It was a very nice and clean house. I would stay there again.

This beautiful cottage was the perfect place for our family. The views were amazing and the hot tub was a wonderful end of our busy days. This location is very convenient to travel around the west side of the island

Brekka at Christmas

Our family stayed at Brekka for the holiday season. The host’s directions were spot on and we found the house no trouble at night,in the snow, and never having been to Iceland before. The house was warm and clean on arrival & fully stocked with all utensils and cooking pots and pans, etc we needed for our stay. The three bedrooms and upstairs loft all got used as sleeping quarters; everyone was comfortable and the blankets sheets and pillows were all clean and inviting for a good night’s sleep. We drove offsite most of the time to either go visiting or hiking (Glymur is nearby as is Hvammsvik hot springs - both worthy trips), but each afternoon we were happy to come back and prepare dinner and relax in the hot tub. The hot tub is amazing (once you get the hang of operating it!). I did drain it once by accident, but then figured it out easily and we were back in business. We loved our stay - particularly getting a surprise Christmas tree from our host - and decorating it with a box of Christmas decorations that were at the house. Jon - the host - was always accessible and answered our every question promptly and with obvious pride for the house. His attentiveness and kindness made our stay just that much more enjoyable because he made us confident in where we were staying, notwithstanding some fairly heavy Icelandic winter weather. Highly recommended, clean, neat, enjoyable, wonderful views and a wonderful host. Jon O’Brien, Boston, USA

Fabulous property near the fjord!

We absolutely loved staying here! The views were breathtaking. The location allowed for a quiet, peaceful stay with the ability to see the northern lights without light pollution, and was not far from many sites and attractions. The property was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our time there. We would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to stay here again!

Stunning and Pristine Home with Hot Tub and Breathtaking Views

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful and immaculately clean home in Iceland. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax while enjoying the spectacular views of the fjord and surrounding mountains. The peaceful location and stunning scenery made our stay truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Die Brekka Lodge ist wunderschön gelegen und hat einen herrlichen Ausblick über den Fjord. Auch die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr gemütlich und die Einrichtung bietet alles, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Wir haben hier den Jahreswechsel verbracht und hatten das Glück, an zwei Abenden Polarlichter sehen zu können - perfekt. Auch für Ausflüge ist die Lage ideal. Der Vermieter Jon Baldur war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vor der Reise haben wir zur Einstimmung jede Menge Informationen bekommen und waren daher gut vorbereitet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Amazing

Jon is very helpful, always available and gives very good advice. The comfortable house offers breathtaking views of the mountains, fjord and ocean. The tub experience at night and in the snow is a real discovery. An excellent family stay.

Stay at Brekka

Beautiful property, the owner is super kind and responsive. The view of the northern lights from the property has been stunning, the location is fabulous. We enjoyed out stay and have absolutely nothing bad to say. We will come back next time we wisit Iceland without a doubt!

Simply Amazing

My wife and I stayed at Brekka during early-mid September and had an amazing time exploring many things Iceland has to offer. The cabin is in a fantastic location with terrific views. We saw the northern lights three nights in a row! The lodge was very comfortable and very well stocked. Jon left great instructions and food recommendations. Hotel Glymur dinner is a must! Jon is a wonderful host with excellent, quick communication the few times we had questions. Best of the best! Thank you, Jon! Eric & Hayley

After being technical director at the car inspection and type approval branch (MOT/TÜV) in Iceland for a few years I got more and more linked to the tourism, using my good knowledge in German, English and Swedish.
Tourist guide since 1983 and owner and operator of the tour agency Isafold Travel and the unique 4x4 rental Isak for 18 years.
Sold the whole business in 2015 to start up a new enterprise, Nordic Lodges. This company runs a few vacation rentals in various parts of Iceland, offering the concept "Roof 'n Route", which makes our lodges to "step stones" on your travel in Iceland.
Tourism and music are my hobbies, and that's where I'm now!
