Lodge Brekkassa olet varmasti lämpimästi tervetullut säästä riippumatta. Tunnet olosi mukavaksi talon mukavassa avoimessa tilassa ja suurella terassilla, nauttien tämän koskemattoman sivuston yksityisyydestä. Kutsuva geoterminen kylpyamme on sijoitettu diskreettisesti koivun pensaisiin puhtaan luonnon keskellä. Sijainti on upea, upealla näköalalla jatkuvasti muuttuviin valonsäteisiin Hvalfjord-lahdelle ja Atlantin valtamerelle sekä Sulur-vuoristoon toiseen suuntaan. Pieni puro tekee kiinteistön rajasta, kun se virtaa pohjassa. Brekka (tarkoittaa rinnettä) on kaunis talo, valmistui vuonna 2013. Se istuu hienosti rinteessä, tästä myös nimi. 6 hengelle sinulla on paljon tilaa, lisäksi yläkerran avoimessa tilassa on parivuodesohva, joka sopii lapsille. Tällä tavalla Brekka mahtuu 8 ihmistä pyynnöstä. Huomaa, että jos varaus tapahtuu yli 6 vieraalle, lisämaksu 30 €, - pr. henkilö, pr. yötä sovelletaan.
Brekka on upea yöpymispaikka, todellinen vetäytyminen Reykjavikista, "Melko lähellä, mutta riittävän kaukana". Talo on noin 45 minuutin ajomatkan päässä Reykjavikista, vain noin 1,5 tunnin päässä KEF-lentokentältä. Brekkalla on ilmainen lasikuituliitäntä Internetiin ja TV: hen.
Oletko matkalla pohjoiseen, länteen tai etelään? Meillä on myös laadukkaat mökit "Hamragil" Akureyrin kaupungin pohjoispuolella (3925011), "Tvera" Westfjordsin etelärannikolla (4084081) ja "Holt" etelään upeista nähtävyyksistä Geysir ja Gullfoss (4776958).

3 adults, used as a base for hiking and exploring south and central Iceland including Snaefellsness, Landmannalaugar (that was a long drive though), and Vestmannaeyjar. It was a very nice and clean house. I would stay there again.

Beautiful Brekka

This beautiful cottage was the perfect place for our family. The views were amazing and the hot tub was a wonderful end of our busy days. This location is very convenient to travel around the west side of the island

Brekka was truly incredible, from the views to the location to the home itself which was perfect for our family of four. We so enjoyed our time here, owner was communicative and helpful, and we would happily visit brekka again!

Great Spot

Wonderful location just 45 minutes from Reykjavic. It is certainly out in the countryside, but it was nice and quiet. 20 mins to a grocery store and the kitchen was equipped enough for our breakfasts we made at home before heading out for the day. Very clean, and the hot tub was great. No issues whatsoever.

Fabulous property near the fjord!

We absolutely loved staying here! The views were breathtaking. The location allowed for a quiet, peaceful stay with the ability to see the northern lights without light pollution, and was not far from many sites and attractions. The property was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our time there. We would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to stay here again!

This is in a beautiful location, the house was in excellent condition, and the owner was very responsive. The property is awesome with the views, the hot tub, and the creek running through it.

Stay at Brekka

Beautiful property, the owner is super kind and responsive. The view of the northern lights from the property has been stunning, the location is fabulous. We enjoyed out stay and have absolutely nothing bad to say. We will come back next time we wisit Iceland without a doubt!

Location, location, location

Great directions, the view of water and mountains, all the windows to enjoy the view, and your own geothermal hot springs contained in a tub! We totally loved everything about this house up the hill! The heated floors were so welcome, as well as the gorgeous deck!

Amazing

Jon is very helpful, always available and gives very good advice. The comfortable house offers breathtaking views of the mountains, fjord and ocean. The tub experience at night and in the snow is a real discovery. An excellent family stay.

Cute little house with a spectacular view. Wish there was a dryer with the washer or drying function within washer as we weren’t able to do laundry as we hoped (not enough space on drying rack for all of our clothes). Kitchen was very useful for a family with kids. Loved the secluded location to enjoy the scenic views.

Love this Home Base!

We were looking for a place that is in the middle of the area we wanted to be. From this place we could go North, South, up to the peninsula, the Gullfoss Waterfall, or to the airport all within a daytrip. What a great treasure we found in Brekka! It was the perfect location, the view was amazing, and it was a great place to relax after our day out.The kitchen had everything we needed for our dinners, and it was wonderful to do small loads of laundry while we were there. Brekka was the perfect place for us!

Amazing and Restorative Place

Brekka lodge is a perfect place to stay if you're looking for some rest and relaxation. The lodges in this area all have quite a bit of space and privacy to them. The area it is in is a beautiful place, with convenient proximity to various places to explore in Iceland. Experienced hikers can go to Glymur waterfall at the eastern end of Hvalfjordur. Nearby Hvammvik springs on the south side of the bay gives you a place to swim in the ocean, and then warm up in a thermal pool. Reykjavik is less than an hour away by car, and to the north and west, you have the beautiful Snaefellsnes and other historic places, such as Reykholt. The geothermal tub was very relaxing, and I believe it helped me correct a skin condition on my hand (dermatitis / eczema); after the trip my hand has never looked this good in over 6 years. I would definitely come back to Iceland and stay at another Nordic Lodge in the future!

Secluded Home with a Fabulous View!

We enjoyed our stay at Brekka Lodge! We never watched any television, because we preferred to watch the view either from the living area, the deck, or the geo thermal tub. The house is well located to lots of sights and is also very close to the trailhead to Glymur Falls, a stunning waterfall that is worth the hike! It is much better to take the longer trail that goes to the left. The shorter trail is much steeper and, for now, the log crossing over the river is down. We also enjoyed eating at nearby Hótel Laxárbakki. They have a small menu, but delicious homemade meals. We highly recommend the fish stew. As for the house, it is clean, nice, in a quiet area and you can't beat the views! The host, Jon, is very quick to respond if you have any questions.

Brekka at Christmas

Our family stayed at Brekka for the holiday season. The host’s directions were spot on and we found the house no trouble at night,in the snow, and never having been to Iceland before. The house was warm and clean on arrival & fully stocked with all utensils and cooking pots and pans, etc we needed for our stay. The three bedrooms and upstairs loft all got used as sleeping quarters; everyone was comfortable and the blankets sheets and pillows were all clean and inviting for a good night’s sleep. We drove offsite most of the time to either go visiting or hiking (Glymur is nearby as is Hvammsvik hot springs - both worthy trips), but each afternoon we were happy to come back and prepare dinner and relax in the hot tub. The hot tub is amazing (once you get the hang of operating it!). I did drain it once by accident, but then figured it out easily and we were back in business. We loved our stay - particularly getting a surprise Christmas tree from our host - and decorating it with a box of Christmas decorations that were at the house. Jon - the host - was always accessible and answered our every question promptly and with obvious pride for the house. His attentiveness and kindness made our stay just that much more enjoyable because he made us confident in where we were staying, notwithstanding some fairly heavy Icelandic winter weather. Die Brekka Lodge ist wunderschön gelegen und hat einen herrlichen Ausblick über den Fjord. Auch die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr gemütlich und die Einrichtung bietet alles, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Wir haben hier den Jahreswechsel verbracht und hatten das Glück, an zwei Abenden Polarlichter sehen zu können - perfekt. Auch für Ausflüge ist die Lage ideal. Der Vermieter Jon Baldur war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vor der Reise haben wir zur Einstimmung jede Menge Informationen bekommen und waren daher gut vorbereitet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Majoittaja: Jon Baldur Torbjornsson

Hooked on tourism, yet studied automotive engineering in the University for Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany with the graduation Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Fahrzeugtechnik. After being technical director at the car inspection and type approval branch (MOT/TÜV) in Iceland for a few years I got more and more linked to the tourism, using my good knowledge in German, English and Swedish.
Tourist guide since 1983 and owner and operator of the tour agency Isafold Travel and the unique 4x4 rental Isak for 18 years.
Sold the whole business in 2015 to start up a new enterprise, Nordic Lodges. This company runs a few vacation rentals in various parts of Iceland, offering the concept "Roof 'n Route", which makes our lodges to "step stones" on your travel in Iceland.
Tourism and music are my hobbies, and that's where I'm now!
