Superbe pays et vue sur l'océan, pourtant proche de Reykjavik

Au lodge Brekka, vous ĂȘtes sĂ»r de recevoir un accueil chaleureux, indĂ©pendant du temps. Vous vous sentirez Ă  l'aise dans le bel espace ouvert de la maison et sur la grande terrasse tout en profitant de l'intimitĂ© de ce site vierge. La baignoire gĂ©othermique invitante est discrĂštement placĂ©e dans les buissons du bouleau au milieu de la nature pure. L'emplacement est superbe avec une vue magnifique et des nuances de lumiĂšre changeantes sur la baie de Hvalfjord et l'ocĂ©an Atlantique, ainsi que sur le groupe de montagnes Sulur dans l'autre sens. Un petit ruisseau fait la frontiĂšre de la propriĂ©tĂ© qui passe dans le ravin. Le lodge Brekka (pente moyenne) est une belle maison achevĂ©e en 2013. Il est bien assis dans la colline, d'oĂč son nom. Pour 6 personnes, vous disposez de beaucoup d'espace. En outre, il y a un canapĂ©-lit double dans l'espace ouvert Ă  l'Ă©tage, idĂ©al pour les enfants. De cette façon, Brekka peut accueillir 8 personnes sur demande. Veuillez noter que si vous rĂ©servez pour plus de 6 personnes, un supplĂ©ment de 30 €, - pr. personne, pr. la nuit va s'appliquer.
Brekka est un endroit magnifique, une vĂ©ritable retraite de Reykjavik, "assez proche mais suffisamment Ă©loignĂ©". La maison est Ă  environ 45 minutes de route de ReykjavĂ­k et Ă  environ une heure et demie de l’aĂ©roport KEF. Brekka dispose d'une connexion en fibre de verre gratuite pour Internet et la tĂ©lĂ©vision.
Vous dirigez-vous vers le nord, l'ouest ou le sud? Nous gérons également les cottages de qualité "Hamragil" de la ville d'Akureyri dans le nord (3925011), "Tvera" sur la cÎte sud des fjords de l'ouest (4084081) et "Holt" au sud des superbes sites touristiques de Geysir et Gullfoss (4776958).

Loved our stay at Brekka. Wonderfully remote and scenic, loved the hot tub and general location of the property worked for us as we did not want to be in the City. Hosts were amazing, from initial booking to visiting us when we were there to help us sort out a small mouse challenge!

We had an amazing time at the Brekka house. It was everything we had hoped for and better! The kitchen was well equipped and the view from the windows and deck were stunning The geothermal hot tub was a luxury after our hikes. We would most certainly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

What a beautiful place! Iceland is a beautiful country, but Brekka is in the most beautiful location. The hosts were helpful. The place was clean. It was easy to drive to Reykjavik and other places. The views were amazing.

Brekka is located in an incredible setting with amazing views over the lake and mountains. It’s peaceful and calm. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable with everything you need for self catering holidays. Any questions that I had were quickly answered both before check in and during the stay. There is a supermarket 25 mins away by car which has everything you’d need. Reykjavik was an easy drive if you want a city visit. Highly recommended.

3 adults, used as a base for hiking and exploring south and central Iceland including Snaefellsness, Landmannalaugar (that was a long drive though), and Vestmannaeyjar. It was a very nice and clean house. I would stay there again.

Great Spot

Wonderful location just 45 minutes from Reykjavic. It is certainly out in the countryside, but it was nice and quiet. 20 mins to a grocery store and the kitchen was equipped enough for our breakfasts we made at home before heading out for the day. Very clean, and the hot tub was great. No issues whatsoever.

Fabulous property near the fjord!

We absolutely loved staying here! The views were breathtaking. The location allowed for a quiet, peaceful stay with the ability to see the northern lights without light pollution, and was not far from many sites and attractions. The property was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our time there. We would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to stay here again!

Stunning and Pristine Home with Hot Tub and Breathtaking Views

Stay at Brekka

Beautiful property, the owner is super kind and responsive. The view of the northern lights from the property has been stunning, the location is fabulous. We enjoyed out stay and have absolutely nothing bad to say. We will come back next time we wisit Iceland without a doubt!

Peaceful Nordic Lodge with Spectacular Views

What a beautiful and warm property! It had everything we needed for days we wanted to stay in, and was so welcoming it come back to after a day in Reykyavik. The drive was well worth it for the views of Hvalfjördur at night. The host was very responsive and we would definitely stay again.

Location, location, location

Great directions, the view of water and mountains, all the windows to enjoy the view, and your own geothermal hot springs contained in a tub! We totally loved everything about this house up the hill! The heated floors were so welcome, as well as the gorgeous deck!

Amazing

Jon is very helpful, always available and gives very good advice. The comfortable house offers breathtaking views of the mountains, fjord and ocean. The tub experience at night and in the snow is a real discovery. An excellent family stay.

Cute little house with a spectacular view. Wish there was a dryer with the washer or drying function within washer as we weren’t able to do laundry as we hoped (not enough space on drying rack for all of our clothes). Kitchen was very useful for a family with kids. Loved the secluded location to enjoy the scenic views.

Love this Home Base!

We were looking for a place that is in the middle of the area we wanted to be. From this place we could go North, South, up to the peninsula, the Gullfoss Waterfall, or to the airport all within a daytrip. What a great treasure we found in Brekka! It was the perfect location, the view was amazing, and it was a great place to relax after our day out.The kitchen had everything we needed for our dinners, and it was wonderful to do small loads of laundry while we were there. Brekka was the perfect place for us!

Hooked on tourism, yet studied automotive engineering in the University for Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany with the graduation Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Fahrzeugtechnik. After being technical director at the car inspection and type approval branch (MOT/TÜV) in Iceland for a few years I got more and more linked to the tourism, using my good knowledge in German, English and Swedish.
Tourist guide since 1983 and owner and operator of the tour agency Isafold Travel and the unique 4x4 rental Isak for 18 years.
Sold the whole business in 2015 to start up a new enterprise, Nordic Lodges. This company runs a few vacation rentals in various parts of Iceland, offering the concept "Roof 'n Route", which makes our lodges to "step stones" on your travel in Iceland.
Tourism and music are my hobbies, and that's where I'm now!
