Cute house

We enjoyed our stay! Super cute house, had everything we needed :) Screened porch is nice for fall. Kids loved the karaoke machine!

Holiday Visit

This property was perfect for our needs while visiting family in Portage over the Christmas holiday. The house is cute with recent updates. The owner has thought about a lot of the little things and even had some festive holiday decorations.

Home away from home

This was one of the best experiences my family and I had. The property was very clean and comfortable. The property manager was extremely nice and accessible. We will definitely rebook this property on our next family trip to the dunes.

Good location to beach

The house was very clean. It was just a quick drive to the beach and about a 10 min drive to restaurants. The alarm system let's you know when a door is opened and which door, that was a nice feature. Only thing I'd add, is a TV in the kids room :) owner was responsive to my questions and we had a fun time! Would stay again.

Cute little get away

It was a perfect and quiet neighborhood! The house was clean and had what we needed to prepare food for 9 people! We had fove kids from 4-16 and four adults. There were things for all of us to do in the house, granted, we mostly ate and slept. Its a nive litrle commute to Chicago and there are many things to do in the area! Kids' favorite day was just relaxing at the beach and it was absolutely beautiful! We also checked out a cubs game on the 4th Go Cibs Go! And they took home the W! This place was a great get way for our little big family! We would definitely book again!

Perfect place close to the Beach!

We stayed over a weekend for my husbands birthday with friends. We stayed Friday to Sunday Friday we stayed in and played games. There is a nice big table perfect for games. Saturday we went to the beach that was maybe a mile away and spent the day there. We planned on grilling out for dinner but were a little disappointed to find the grill not working with no propane. But improvised and cooked inside. We had 11 people total who had to shower and didn’t have any issues with not enough towels or hot water. Everyone had places to sleep and were comfortable! Would definitely stay again for a beach trip!

Needs help with listing.

The a/c was not working when we arrived. Lights did not work in the dining room and hallway. There was a bug on the coffee table. Two dining room chairs were broken. Advertised for sleeping 14, but recliners, 1 broken, were counted. For sleeping 14, there was one frying pan and one pan to feed 14. and they were rusted. While the owner was helpful with superficial stuff, she was rude and disrespectful for having to deal with necessities. Waiting for her to bring pans to cook for my family caused us to miss half a day of vacation time. Considering we rented well in advance, the property should have been ready for us to arrive after the 4:00 check in time. We arrived that evening.

As we discussed this during your stay, the AC was turned down until the guest arrived. Your stay was during our busy season & some things were damaged & for that we apologize. We also went above and beyond to correct the situation- which was not very welcoming by the guests- was welcomed a very displeasing responses. We wish them well.

Weekend stay

Perfect space for our weekend together ! We came in town from the west coast and the east coast for a wedding and this was a cozy, comfortable space for 5 adults. Back patio and outdoor area was an added bonus! Loved being so close to the dunes!

Very functional!

We came for a girls weekend, celebrating my daughter’s 10th birthday. We had 12 girls, all different ages and the property was great for all of us. It is really close to the Miller Beach South Shore Train Line. Sadly, it was under construction when we stayed so we had to drive to the East Chicago station but it was an easy drive. We really enjoyed our time and our stay. We would rent the property again!

Beautiful property near Lake Michigan!

The house is beautiful! It was well stocked and very clean. The beds were the most comfortable we’ve slept in outside of our own home. One small bathroom was a little inconvenient with 8 people, but in our search of the area, that seemed typical for most properties, and not a fault of the owners. We’d definitely stay there again!

It was a nice property.

The house worked great for 4 adults and a little dog! The only real suggestions I have are get a mirror in each bedroom, make sure there's some wood available before guest arrival and remove the one picture showing the neighbors grilling area, from the pictures that advertise the property. Binika is a sweetheart and easy to talk to. We could have stayed longer if life would have allowed.
