North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. This home is ideally located within close proximity to numerous New Orleans landmarks including (Jackson Square (2.5 Miles), Caesar's Superdome/Smoothie King Center (1.3 Miles), The National WWII Museum (2.5 Miles), and City Park (3.8 Miles).

The property was beautiful and just as the pictures showed. It was super close to Trader Joe’s and made for a very easy grocery run (literally). I would stay here again without question. The only things I can find anything negative to say about (which are minor in my opinion) would be the pillows were very flat (I had to grab a couch pillow to sleep on), no dedicated/reserved parking (first come first serve street parking), and the water dispenser in the fridge didn’t work (but the ice dispenser did).

Super cute house and great location

The house is very cute, clean and modern. Very easy access to Bourbon street via streetcar. Highly recommend this property and would stay again now that I know how to navigate the below. My only complaint was with booking agency, Book Nola. I received an email telling me I needed to complete a verification screening. I’ve never been asked that before, so I called 3 separate times over a 3 week period leaving my contact information. I never received a call back. I tried once more a few days prior to leaving. It’s a 4 step process. I had to call to initiate each step bc it was not automated. After I was told it was completed, I remembered in one of my conversations I needed to take a picture with my credit card. I sent another message asking about that and they apologized for the oversight. I asked what would have happened had I not completed all the steps, they informed me I would not have been able to check in. I paid for early check in and was told I would get the code an hour prior. I did not receive the early check in code by noon. I called multiple times without any answer and when they got back to me they said they sent it through the message app not via text/email. When I looked I noticed it was sent as we were speaking on the phone which was right at 1pm.I hope my experience was unusual.

Had a wonderful time. Place was perfect location for all of our adventures in and out of New Orleans. All throw pillows were feathered, myself and one of my friends are allergic.

Few miles from Fairgrounds

The home is relatively new with a number of new homes on the block. The property management company was a challenge to communicate with. After sending messages, the response time was slow and even though specific arrangements were made, they did not keep track of them so repeated messages and corrections had to be made. The other challenge was obtaining the lock box code prior to arrival. In my years of using VRBO I had not experienced the scenario where the property management company did not want to provide the lock box code or access code until the actual check in time. In my experience it’s provided the day of. I literally had no pre-check in information until I contacted them 3hours before check in and respectfully respected they provide me with the code since I was traveling from another part of Lousiana to the VRBO and WIFI would be an issue. The management company referred me to a website that was not easy to use for pre-check in instructions. Why not provide them on the VRBO app? Thank goodness the owner happened to be present on arrival (they live upstairs). She informed me where the lockbox was. From there, the experience was easy sailing. The home is well maintained and organized. Many amenities available. The owners left us their cell number We parked on the street and there were a few spots available. The neighborhood is being revitalized and we support this. Safety was not an issue. We were able to travel quickly to the FQ and Jazz fest. It is a good location.

Great Mid City Location

Wonderful property just a few blocks away from the Canal St. trolley. The apartment was very clean and well appointed with anything you would need. Safe and quiet neighborhood with many choices to eat nearby. Great place to stay when in NOLA.

Beds are comfortable, street parking an issue (spot in front of the house was never open so we had to park in other areas), house was clean, not a bad location close to public transportation. It was so nice to have separate bedrooms for our teens, washer and dryer, nice big table to hang out, comfortable couch… neighbors were noisy at times, and there was a slamming screen door outside of our bedroom window early in the morning. We most likely won’t be back to this part of the country but if we did, we’d consider staying here again!

Only issue I had was I paid the extra $50 for early check in and I was not provided the code by the time stated in the email it was sent over about a hour or 2 later and I had to call customer service regarding that and thats when they sent over more emails and then the code but after that Things were great everything was right by everything we wanted to do....definitely great for location if you want to hit bourbon street and Frenchman street. Owners are friendly and neighborhood is quiet I would definitely book again

Great space in the heart of NOLA

Well we just got home from our first vacation with the whole family. The highlight for everyone was our stay in NOLA. It would not have been nearly as good if we had not found your place to stay. It was close to everything we wanted to see. Right next to the trolley, close to the aquarium, Bourbon Street, parks, everything! We appreciated the newness of the space. The ability for our teens to have their own space when they needed it was essential for keeping the peace. Thank you very much and we have already recommended your space to family and friends.

Out New Orleans Vacation!

This property is absolutely beautiful. Everything has been recently updated/upgraded. Everything was spotless, a few welcome treats/beers for us, furniture is super comfortable, including beds, plenty of cabinet/closet space, sweet little front porch for hanging in the evenings. We really enjoyed the location. Not too far from anything, but not right in the hustle and bustle of party zones, and Ubers were quick (which I attribute to the location). We met the owners who live upstairs and they were lovely, but also let us do our thing. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Amazing weekend

I had an amazing weekend staying at this perfect location. The place was adorable and very accommodating. Mike was extremely fast with replying to any questions I had and helped the experience go by so smoothly. I definitely recommend staying here for your trip to Nola!

Very Nice

This house was spotless when we arrived. It’s easy to get to from the trolley line. 2 restaurants you can see from the front porch. Had no issues getting door dash delivered. House was very nice and just as advertised. 10/10 would stay again.

Satisfied in NOLA

Great property. Couldn't recommend it more for family of four. Not too big, not too small. Kitchen allows for extensive cooking. TV room far enough from bedroom to watch late night. Master bedroom as good as any fancy hotel room. Everything was clean, and frankly looked unused. Parking can be a problem at times but the owners who live upstairs gladly give up their street parking spots if needed. So it was easier than it looked at first. Neighborhood is being gentrified and still has worked but was safe as any suburban development. Being close to the hospital did not cause any noise problems. Great patio to watch the world go by. And the fact the owners live upstairs was a plus, making them more responsive than the average. There was beer in the fridge when we arrived. What more should be said?

Great property

Loved the house. Very clean and comfortable. The pillows in living room are feathered for those with allergies. Neighborhood is getting some updates. Close proximity to local restaurants and coffee bar. Public transportation nearby. Ubers/Lifts to French Quarter and French Market about $10 for the larger car. Would stay again.

Coming Home

The property was jut as described in the description and photos, we were in New Orleans to see family and friends and the location was perfect. We found the neighborhood peaceful and neighbors very friendly. The only downside is the on street parking.

Perfect stay in heart of the city

Property is perfect for a family or several couples to stay, only challenge is the off street parking. Local Neighbors were fun to chat with and get a feel for the city that you won’t get if you’re in a hotel. Thanks for a great first trip to NOLA, can’t wait to come back and stay here again!!
