Tucked away in a private 1.5 acre lot, Casa Puesta Del Sol is truly a desert destination unlike any other. When I discovered the house I fell in love with the secluded feel, the sunsets, and the warm vibes and I think you will too.
I've taken on quite a few projects since I bought the house and I love the way they turned out. On the exterior I painted the accent grey color on the front so that it would stand out against the desert color palette. Next was the details to the front of the house, I used to live in Santa Fe, NM and I wanted to create a similar vibe so I added Mexican tile and wood detail around the windows, the diamond design above the front door, and chili pepper ristras hanging in the front of the house.
On the interior I remodeled the bathrooms to create bright, updated spaces for my guests. Then I purchased all of the art for the house before I even bought any furniture. I wanted to plan the space around colorful art, so throughout the house you will see that come to life. I loved the open floor plan of the house which has a seamless flow from one room to the next so that everyone feels connected, but has plenty of space to relax.
In the backyard I added a hot tub! That was one of my main wish list items because I can't think of a better way to end a day then looking at the sunset from the spa. I also did some work to the cantina and outdoor kitchen spaces to make them perfect for my guests.
