1920 Home moved from Houston Heights and restored back to original with modern conveniences. Approx 5 miles from town, quiet, very few neighbors, 2 (fish still growing) ponds, 10 acres with woods and creek to explore. 2 golf greens approx 115yds apart, horseshoes, gas grill and firepit as well. Children games in home, Tv if you find time with so many outdoor activites.

Lots of Diners in town if you want to eat out. Kitchen always has plenty of eggs, coffee and food for Country Breakfast.
We have 2 homes on the property 9450185 to reserve so if you need more space, take both! We have a sweet female Belgium Sheppard ( Gracey) that protects you on the property. She gets along with other dogs as well! Please leave her outside of home. Don't bring your dog if they are social with other dogs! We are approx 10 minutes from Deep in the Heart venue, 35 mins to Roundtop and 40 mins to College Station! Enter driveway 830 New Years Creek and go in front of Barn around to House and park beside house. Don't drive between Barn and ponds please. Have Fun!

This stay was wonderful! David was very accommodating and responsive. The home has everything you need to enjoy a weekend getaway. The character is unmatched and so beautiful. We really did love the fire pit and the Sonos speakers were great! The water feature is amazing and so relaxing. Thank you! 5 stars!

Family spring break getaway

Perfect getaway from the city but with luxury comforts. Loved the fire pit and swing. Our dog may have had the most fun.

Mother/Daughter Antiquing in Round Top

Such a great home to relax in after a day of antiquing the fields and shops of Round Top! With plenty of space to spread out and admire our newfound treasures, our home's charm and attention to detail added to that special "Look what I found!" feeling. My daughters and I were equally pleased to be near downtown Brenham with all their great little restaurants. We'll be back!

Lovely home in a beautiful spot!

This property is beautiful and the house was wonderful! All the amenities and a layout for cozy comfort. We had a family wedding 10 miles away and everyone could spread out while getting ready. We even had two of our travelers stop in to change. They all loved the hole and asked for the listing information! I’d love to come back and just relax here! Great owner. Thank you again!!

Lovely Home

All went very well. The home is gorgeous. We slept comfortably. We fed the fish and played horseshoes. The only issue we had was finding the driveway to the house. There isn’t one. We could see the home but didn’t know how to get to it. We enjoyed the quiet outdoors and waking up to the sounds of birds.

I've stayed in a lot of VRBO and AirB&B properties over the last 10 years but not one that impressed me as much as this one. A lot of work and love went into preparing this home their guests and my guess is they still use it for family gatherings of their own. I've never seen a seen a better stocked kitchen in a rental complete with tons of K cup coffees, bacon and eggs in the fridge, and more utensils than I have in my own kitchen. We were only there for 2 nights (for a wedding nearby) so we didn't have time to use fire pit (stocked with a cord of firewood) or the fishing pond. There was another pond with koi fish and a pasture full of cows and goats. Such a great, peaceful location. My only disappointment was that we never saw the resident dog they mentioned. We brought our long haired dachshund but had to leave our two big dogs at home because they would never stay out of the ponds. Thanks to the owners for sharing your lovely home with us. PS: Hope they don't mind that I logged in as "Ross" on some of their TV apps. Don't worry though,I didn't purchase any movies.

Friend get together

Had a slight issue with the people renting the other house the first night, but it was addressed and had no other problems. We loved the property and the house. Very nicely decorated and very clean. The beds are very comfy.

Peaceful Retreat from the World

What an fantastic getaway! We loved our (too brief) stay in this lovely and comfortable house filled with French country charm. The fully equipped kitchen made cooking a pleasure, and we enjoyed sitting outside each night to gaze at the stars and trekking into Brenham each day to shop and play. We hope to return again very soon!

Beautiful getaway

This review is actually for the barn house on the same property. We booked this beautiful house, but the ac went out days before our arrival. David was so kind to offer the much larger barn instead. It was beautiful and fit our needs very well from the outdoor living area to the incredible beds! David is a great host. I highly recommend.

Great for family!

We rented the house and the larger house for a family wedding nearby. It was perfect for us and the kitchen and amenities were excellent!!! Plenty of table games and things to do! Would recommend this place to anyone!

Fabulous experience , the home is a feast for the eyes , beautiful.

The Clark family and friends loved every minute of our time in the historical Brenham home . The antiques , lighting , restoration of your home is perfection . I felt like I was in Paris again getting ready in the master bath . We absolutely felt so special to be part of the world you created for your sweet family in this home. Thank you for hosting us . So much fun in this cute house with a lot of charm and character!

Great two days spent at this house with a lot of character and beautiful, serene, surroundings. The house was at exactly as described and well equipped. The decor was charming. We enjoyed our time spent at the house and antiquing at Round Top!!

Charming Farm House

Super cute farm house, perfect for peace and quiet with the family. Even came with it's own dog, the kids loved it. I would suggest renting both homes on the property, or verifying if the other is rented at the same time, if you are wanting a private, quiet getaway without possible interruption of other tenants.

Downtown Brenham has lots to do, places to eat and weekend events often. Town of Independence is approx 20 mins, grocery store serves lunch and Rose Emporium has 1,000's of roses for sale.
Round top is a great place to visit with food and antiques year round and big shows 3 times a year.
Navasota is 30 mins.
College Station is 45 mins away.
