Charming Mountaintop Home A-Frame
This home is absolutely the most charming I have stayed in. The owners are wonderful and so helpful in every way. The mountain view is incredible. I do not think I could have found a more beautiful place to stay. It has 2 bedrooms and a little study area. The living room space is wonderful. And the patio overlooks the mountains which speaks for itself. You will not be disappointed. The road to the cabin is windy and narrow so prepare for an adventure! We will be back!
HI Sandi, thanks for your lovely review. We are so happy that you enjoyed our mountain home. It was a pleasure having you. Take care and we hope to have you stay with us again. Thank you, Mary and Richard
Nicely renovated A-Frame with an extraordinary view!
The winding roads that led to the property were beautiful and easy to navigate. There may be a need of an AWD vehicle if there is snow, otherwise you will be fine.
This cabin is absolutely remarkable! The best part about the place is the stunning view. This view can be seen from the upper loft-style bedroom, kitchen, great-room, and especially the deck. The color scheme of the cabin is really nice with bright whites and greys, making it a nice and cozy retreat.
Take a trip to town and enjoy antique shops and fine restaurants. We usually try to goto Caffe Rel if they’re not packed, which we usually find a line anyway... Totally worth the wait though, I highly recommend.
Overall the stay was quite wonderful, you can not go wrong booking this place!!
The property was stunning!
We arrived late in the afternoon and it was exquisite! The white color scheme was elegant yet comfy which we really enjoyed. My children spent an entire hour enjoying the view and taking pictures. This was an amazing steal and we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were incredible, the lighting was awesome, and our stay was extremely enjoyfyl. Hope you choose to stay here you won't regret it!
This cute house was all about the views. They were spectacular. The cabin is very well situated.
It's about 10-15 min. to downtown Franklin and about 15 min. to downtown Dillsboro and Sylva. All three towns had really cute downtown's with cute shops and restaurants. We had the best BBQ we have every had at Haywood's Smokehouse in Dillsboro. Had an amazing meal at Caffe Rel in Franklin. Don't let this restaurant fool you. It is connected to a Hot Spot Gas Station but the food is upscale and amazing. The cabin had everything we needed to feel right at home. Our favorite this was standing on the back deck watching the stars and night. We also really enjoyed the fire pit. We will definitively be going back.
We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us. We love our mountain home and the view made us fall in love. Thank you for taking the time to submit this review. Please come back and stay with us again. Take care, Mary and Richard
Awsome view beautiful cabin loved it
We arrived at dusk the road was intimidating for a flat lander after we arived we called the owners and found out that Papa johns delivers thank god cause i was not going down the mountain till daylight 😊i was perfectly fine eating the peanut butter crackers we had my advice to all bring some food for the first night 🌙 other than that it was the nicest weekend Trip we have ever taken the cabin was so clean the view was breath taking there is so much to do with in a short distance we will definitely come back soon .as far as the driveway to cabin it became just part of the charater of the beautiful area and a lot of funny story's to tell are friends. The pizzas delivery man flow up that mountain like it was nothing so being a professional driver it was a challenge for me to put on my big boy pants and get used to it after i went down the first time it wasn't bad at all .I give the place a 5 out of 5 the view is worth the trip I cant wait to come back
French Chic right in the heart of NC
My mom, sister, and I go on an annual trip, and this year we chose the Bryson City area. We booked our stay based on the pictures and the price. As other reviewers have said..the views were absolutely amazing!
The style was very French Chic. You can tell the owners have put a lot of work into remodeling. It is not your typical mountain cabin decor at all. If you are looking for a hunting camp, manly space, then this is probably not what you want. On the other hand, if you are wanting a super cute quiet County French Chic space, this is your place! My sister and I kept saying how much our daughter's would love the place, but how quickly they would dirty up the clean white space in a heartbeat!
It was extremely clean and well cared for. There were definitely pros and cons, but the pros definitely outweighted the cons.
1. The GPS led us on a wild goose chase after we turned on the road by the office. The roads are steep and aren't easy to navigate at night. (However, Jeanette and Mary were quick to take care of that for us, and Jeanette even drove us to the cabin the first night.)
2. There are 3 floors you must climb in order to access all of the cabin. If you have trouble with mobility, this probably wouldn't be a good spot. (We did just fine, but others may not.)
3. The bedroom on the main floor has a futon, but it isn't futon size that we were used to. We couldn't use it, so I slept on the couch. (The couch was SUPER COMFY! So no complaints there!)
1. Customer service was amazing! Mary responded immediately to all questions we had. Jeanette was a trooper getting us to our cabin late at night. They were truly wonderful.
2. That view....THAT VIEW....THAT VIEW!!! We are used to being in Gatlinburg & Sevierville, and while the views are beautiful...you usually see hundreds of cabins in your sightline. That was not the case here. It truly was just gorgeous.
3. It is so close to so many fun little towns. It is just a hop, skip, and jump to Bryson City (which is super fun). Franklin is a cute town, and Dillsboro was probably our favorite town to walk around. Our girls trip means we get to go in all the shops that we won't do with our husbands and children, and these towns were filled with all of those places.
4. The cabin was equipped with most everything that was needed to cook. (We had dinner there each night. We did bring a few of our own items, but for basic meals, it is provided.)
A great place!
