Some of the criticism is warranted, but much of it is not. The following is a point-by-point rebuttal. * Peeling ceiling paint: this is/was a valid criticism. We had recently had a severe plumbing situation (a burst supply line while no one was home to quickly notice it), resulting in a lot of water throughout the house. Being a concrete home, the damage was not too severe, but one ramification was some peeling ceiling paint. We have since scraped and repainted those problem areas. This is not a reflection of a lack of attention to maintenance, but rather a one-off quasi-catastrophe. * Parking area: until only recently, all guests were asked to park on the street. Street parking is abundantly available and remains a great option for all guests. A few months ago we decided to clear out a corridor on the north side of the property to allow for offstreet parking for up to 4 vehicles, parked tandem. Our neighbor has a mango tree that leans over approximately 25% of that area. The remaining 75% of the space (2-3 tandem parking spaces) is not impacted by the tree. * Slow shower drain: our Ops Manager, Wesley, immediately responded to this reported issue, but he arrived to the house to discover a domestic dispute in-progress. He was asked to wait for like thirty minutes, and the guest was to call him when the coast was clear. Wesley waited outside the house for over an hour, never received a call, called the guest but received no answer, and then departed. The guest never followed up for the remainder of their stay, and the slow drain was freed up upon the guest's checkout. * Broken bed frame: The guest never reported this issue. Rather, our cleaning staff discovered it upon the guest's departure. The bed frame was replaced that same day. * Dogs: there are two neighborhood dogs, Leon and Benny, who do occasionally roam around but generally pay no attention to humans. They each have wonderful, caring owners. We feel that the "lots of stray dogs" categorization is inaccurate.
