Staying at Jose’s Las Vegas property was my first ever time using Vrbo — and will be my last! We primarily selected this premium property for the highly-advertised *heated* pool and hot tub. However, the heater for both was broken. We repeatedly reached out to Jose for help — as no instructions were provided on how to operate the pool — to please either (1) send his pool maintenance person or visit himself to help, (2) send an instruction manual so we could attempt to fix it ourself (on vacation, mind you), (3) answer a FaceTime or phone call, to walk us through the insurrections, (4) or, at the least, clearly answer our questions on how to fix the heater — all efforts which were ignored. We would have chosen a more affordable property, had we known the “luxury amenity” wasn’t actually available as advertised. On top of that, the tome of rules had us feeling more like prisoners, rather than paying guests. I was so anxious making sure each of the myriad rules — with high fines — were meticulously followed, that I could never relax while on the property. Also, weirdly, none of the bathroom outlets worked. We asked Jose to send an electrician or handyman, as having to take all hair tools out into the hallways & use our phone mirrors was hardly convenient — but, of course, that never happened. And this isn’t a big deal, but it’s just such bad hospitality — there was only one paper towel roll and one trash bin liner supplied for a dozen guests staying 3 nights?
