Great location, lovely condo just as described- could use hot pads and kitchen towels for kitchen

We enjoyed our stay very much - the kitchen needs hot pads and kitchen towels but otherwise it had most everything we needed. Not a fan of the valet parking every time you want your car but we used the circuit transportation a lot so we didn’t need to get our vehicle out as much.

Great place but a few things...

Lots of confusion with property staff as to what we were responsible to supply. Towels were a definite yes but other amenities (shampoo, soap, etc.) very unclear. Waits for elevators can be interminable. Resort fee is annoying and only gets you one umbrella and two chairs. Beach rentals are available but pricey. There is only a fairly limited area where the rental company will set you up leading to unnecessary crowding. Some areas on the beach unfortunately get a lot of shade due to heights of area buildings.

Filthy!!

The condo was filthy!! The floors were disgusting…I asked the front desk if the floors could be cleaned. They said they’d “try” but no one came to clean them. The door on the master bedroom wouldn’t close because it was coming off of the hinges, the lighting in all the bathrooms was awful, the washing machine was moldy, the bed pillows were missing pillow cases and the sofa was dirty. They told us at check-in that someone would come to fix the dishwasher because it wasn’t working - no one came. I would never stay in this condo again.

Hello, I usually go through RBNB, and I wanted to try VRBO for the first time, and I am very disappointed, The host, never responded to the message, the hotel amenities do not exist , I did a lot of shopping and around 4 p.m. in the afternoon, I wanted them to be brought to my room, they told me that there was no one there and that I had to I take a cart and fend for myself The hotel staff is rude, I have never seen that The place is not clean, smells In the apartment there wasn't even the bare minimum, there was no vacuum cleaner for the carpets, nothing! And despite several messages, emails to the host we never got a response A disaster, for my wife, me and my 3 young children, We then booked the Hyde hotel in front of the sea for 2 weeks at RBNB, and it was TOP I will never go there again, I will no longer use VRBO or this host A real disaster to escape and I would advise all my relatives and friends not to go through VRBO That's it, you know everything Best wishes

Overall nice with some drawbacks

The property itself was overall nice. The furniture is definitely on the cheap side and could use some upgrades. Especially the sofa and the patio furniture. Some of it is quite beat up. Obviously careless guests before us have caused damage. Bathroom doors won’t lock, toilet papers rolls fall off wall, towel hangers are broken. The kitchen could use a few more good quality pans, and utensils. When we got there, the microwave was not working, and there were no oven pans, & no ice maker. There were several minor things that were broken or damaged in the apartment. They could also use some patio furniture & a smart tv. The dishwasher is almost impossible to use because the rack is broken on the bottom. Nice views and overall very clean & spacious. The building itself is nice, but it is extremely busy and you have to cross a very busy street in order to get to the beach, which is uncomfortable and feels unsafe. Plus, there’s no real pedestrian walkway in order to walk from the condo building to the beach. The elevator is always super crowded and I don’t like the extra charge and the inconvenience of the valet parking service. The amenities are nice; the gym, the basketball court, the tennis court, the pools and the hot tub are all well maintained. Hyde Park Beach House is located in one of the busiest intersections in Hollywood. Didn’t care for that. The local beach sadly does need a lot of trash cleanup. I wish people were a lot more caring about the environment.

We really enjoyed our time at this place. Clean, modern, great service. The only thing that became a hassle were the elevators. There aren’t enough for the building so you can find yourself waiting on them for a while.

Review of Hyde Beach House 1408

Beautiful place unfortunately lots of issues. No coffee pot, no hot pads, no baking dishes, no cookie trays, very little silverware for a place that sleeps 8, tv remotes did not work-I’m sure batteries were dead, dishwasher was horrible-wheels broke and you couldn’t slide out in or out. We were left 4 towels for 6 people. No extra trash bags. Front desk was no help since the unit was privately owned. But the worst part were the dirty floors. They had obviously not been cleaned at all and they were dirty. Got stuck in the elevator, then when we tried to check out we waited over an hour for an elevator. The building is 43 floors and 2 elevators were running and everytime it came to our floor there were workers with towels etc-not guests. We ended up walking down 14 floors with 9 suitcases and multiple grocery bags. Beautiful place, beautiful pool, nice workout facility, but paid way too much to have all the issues we had!
