Oso Blu Luxury Yurts are unlike any place you have stayed with spectacular panoramic views of the iconic blue water of Bear Lake. These custom yurts are the largest yurts made in North America at 40 feet in diameter and twenty feet high, space is abundant. The yurts include fully equipped kitchens, laundry, two private toilets, a large walk in shower, two separate bed rooms, a children's play loft/extra sleeping area, opening/closing windows, and an entertainment center for family movies. Enjoy sitting by the fire during cold nights while you watch the stars from the dome sky light above. Oso Blu is the most unique and enjoyable family experience in Bear Lake.
PLEASE NOTE-The Ute is the only yurt that has a steep incline to reach the door. If you have guests with limited mobility, the other four yurts are easier to access.

This yurt was a neat experience. Kind of camping but all the luxuries of home. It was big enough to fit us and had a fully stocked kitchen to cook. The place was clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Perfect Location, Beautiful views!

So easy to get to and amazing views from the property! We really enjoyed our stay, perfect size for 2 families. The only thing we thought could have been better was the landscaping up at the community area, we realize it's the beginning of the season though, I'm sure it's usually lovely!

Unique exeprience

Great place, clean, full equiped and nice linen and bathroom amenities, owner was so concern about how we feel that is service from the heart!!! Also ask me to take my time on my check out date and we leave so relaxed. In general we will back again and again !!!

Amazing!!

We’ve traveled the world and this is one of the cutest places we’ve stayed. I’ve never stayed in a yurt but it is shocking Very spacious! The views are amazing! Well stocked with essential needs. I would without a doubt stay here again. I would like to say I don’t recommend this place cause I want it to be available every time we go but I want nothing but the best for the owners of these yurts so I highly recommend booking this place!! Melissa the owner is soooo accommodating and friendly. Thank you for such and amazing yurt experience!!

We LOVED our adventures at the Yurt.

My kids thought the Yurt was SO COOL and I loved that it had all the amenities to make traveling easy and fun and make us seem more adventurous. We are going to make it a tradition.

I don't even know where to be to describe this place. My kids are all adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. The view was amazing and the location was perfect. I think my Boys want to live in a yurt now.

Amazing! You will love this experience.

Everything we hoped for and more! I'm so impressed with the hosts. The communication was seamless - so easy to check in and out without bothering the hosts or over-communicating. The property is gorgeous - the lake view breathtaking - this is a luxury yurt experience at its best. It was the perfect experience for family bonding and making memories. Thank you for making it affordable as well. We'll definitely be back!

Bear Lake Getaway

We rented the yurt to reconnect with friends over the 4th of July weekend. What a fun experience for all. Fun yard games at night, cowboy Calderon, and community grills kept in good enough condition you don’t feel terrible about using them. Close proximity to the lake and everything in Garden City. We took our bikes and parked at the park if we wanted to ride them. Yurts are located at the top of a steep hill (not good for little ones and bikes) but the view of the lake makes up for the hill ❤️

Great location and views

We loved our weekend at the Yurt. Even though it was cold, the space heaters made it comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Kids loved everything about it!

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed these Yurts and we would definitely stay here again. They were very clean and the beds were comfy. We appreciated that although there was only one bathroom, they do have 2 separate toilets. Our kids enjoyed staying here as well. Overall a great experience and one that we would choose to do again.

Spacious and conveniently located

The yurt was very spacious. We had 7 adults at one time and everyone had space. The beds were very comfortable and it was so convenient to have everything we needed where all we needed to bring with us was food and clothes. The common area with corn hole and fire cauldron was so much fun.

First Yurt Experience

This was our first "Yurt" experience and overall it was good. The Yurts are large, airy, and well ventilated, though if you are looking for central air you'll be disappointed. But Bear Lake usually cool enough, especially at night that it's not a problem and the temperature was never a problem for us. The place was clean and comfortable, check in was a breeze (they sent an email w/ all the info we needed). The location is a little off the beaten path but no worse than any other place we've ever rented so that wasn't an issue. Garden City is like a three minute drive away. Melissa, the host, was great also. We had a nearby Yurt that got a little rowdy one night. I called her fairly late but she still answered and dealt with the issue quickly. Our only "issues" and I don't them complaints, just "issues" was that there is only one shower and for a larger group like ours that was a challenge. But there was plenty of hot water so that was good. I also wasn't a fan of the sliding doors between the bedrooms and the bathroom area but that was more of a personal preference than anything else. The other real issue was that for a group as large as ours there wasn't a lot of comfortable places to sit and be together. There was a small "L" shaped couch in the corner and few metal-framed chairs and then the bar stools. The kitchen island took up a good deal of room in the living area right in front of the TV so after a day at the lake if you want to come home and watch a movie together that is problematic because it was just hard to situate it so we could all watch comfortably, despite the huge bean-bag chair. Overall, we enjoyed it.

Such a Beautiful Location & Awesome Yurt

We absolutely loved our trip to Bear Lake and staying in the OSO Blue yurts. What a great experience. The yurts were so nice, they felt like a little house and the beds were so comfortable. We slept so well. We liked how the bathroom had 2 private toilets. Kitchen had everything we needed and the view was stunning! We loved the fire pit, volleyball, social area. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you so much.

Cool way to vacation

We stayed in the Ute. The walkway to the yurt was REALLY steep. This yurt was spacious and comfortable! Aside from the cost($$$), we LOVED it!

Great property, great view and great price

Our stay was amazing. The property owners were great. The only thing I would suggest is letting all guests during the booking process, that it is like staying in a tent and all noise echoes. We disrupted a few of the guests. We did our best to stay quiet during quiet hours (there were 12 of us!); however, there is only so much you can do!

Great place to stay

Great location near town. We stayed with extended family and enjoyed the 3 separate areas . The ladder to the loft was a little tricky for the little kids, but even the 1 year old figured it out (with supervision). The kitchen was great and had all the basic necessities. Very fun stay. *since it is new gps doesn't quite get you to the yurt.

Oso Blu is owned by locals John and Melissa Spuhler and their son Leo. The Spuhler’s are full time residents of Garden City. Melissa, John and Leo love to hike, bike, boat, fish, surf, paddleboard, ski and snowmobile. Oso Blu started at the request of their son Leo who has Autism. Leo wanted a place in nature where he could share his knowledge with others raising chickens, ducks, miniature donkeys, goats, and other small animals as well as raspberry’s, and blueberries, which are not on the property yet, but hope to be added over the next few years. Oso Blu is not just another rental in Bear Lake it is a full unique experience which will bring life long memories.

Gathering Deck with Cowboy Fire Cauldron- ready for you!
The unobstructed view of Bear Lake is awesome from our massive 40 foot round gathering deck. A large fire cauldron will allow you to stay warm while soaking in the wonder of the stars and the entire landscape of Bear Lake. It is important to note you will need to bring your own wood. Wood bundles are available at the Shell, or Mike’s market or the Ace Hardware store.

Enjoy a game of tetherball, Corn Hole, or Volleyball up near the gathering platform.

Fire Cauldron has a grate for BBQ for the adventurous cook!
